It all began at Lisa's laboratory, where she was working on something.
"Excellent. Now I just need to add the final ingredient and my new Fountain of Youth Serum will be complete."
"Heads up!" Lynn yelled from somewhere down the hall.
A football flies in and hits Lisa as she is about to grab the final ingredient for her serum, and she drops a test tube, which explodes and spreads a purple gas around the house.
Lori got up after it cleared, and her shadow showed her doing so.
"What happened?" Lori asked, her voice younger. "Why does my voice sound different?"
She looked in the mirror and noticed that she was younger, and she screamed in horror.
When J.D., Varie, and Vince heard it, they slid into the living room.
"Guys, what's going on?" J.D. asked.
With a gasp, they notice that Lori, Carol, Leni, Luna, Ember, Gabrielle, Luan, Lynn, and Shannon are now 6 years old.
"What happened to you girls?" J.D. wanted to know. "You look like you're six."
"I'm not sure," Lori admitted. "This strange purple gas covered everything, and the next thing we know, we're younger."
"This was my fault, siblings," Lisa confessed. "Lynn threw her pig-skinned sports ball, street name: Football, into my room and it hit me in the back of my cranium, and I dropped my experimental Fountain of Youth Serum."
"Fountain of Youth Serum?" J.D. asked. "That's cool."
"It sure is," Varie agreed.
"But why weren't Lucy, Anastasia, Laney, Lana & Lola, Penny, you, and Lily affected?" Vince wondered.
"It's because I placed the elder siblings' DNA into the Serum as a field test, minus Lincoln and Linka, Lucy, Anastasia, Laney, Lana & Lola, Penny, myself, and Lily," Lisa explained.
"Interesting," J.D. noted.
"It feels like I'm the eldest now," Lincoln commented.
Linka chimed in, "Me too."
"It does, doesn't it?" Laney questioned.
"It sure feels like it," J.D. commented. "Is there any way for you, Lisa, to create an antidote?"
"Affirmative," Lisa answered, "but it'll take some time based on my calculations."
"How long do you think it will take?" Varie asked.
"7 days," Lisa answered.
"7 Days!?" The younger Luna yelled, shocked. "I got a rock concert coming up dudes!"
"I've got a comedy gig coming up!" A younger Luan protested.
"And I have a baseball game!" The younger Lynn added.
"We're going to have to figure something out," J.D. pointed out. "This is one heck of a predicament.
"Yeah." Lily agreed. "I can't stand that my sisters have to be barred from the things they love."
"Me too," Laney agreed.
Since we weren't the ones harmed," Lucy reasoned, "we'll have to fill in for them."
"Nice idea, Lucy," Varie replied.
"I can fill in for Luna because of my band," Lily added.
"I can fill in for Lynn because I used to be on a baseball team," Lucy added.
"I can fill in for Luan since I learned a lot of jokes from her, J.D., and Vince," Laney added.
"That seems like a plan," J.D. replied. "What about the rest of you? You don't have any plans this week, do you?"
"No, I don't," the younger Leni said, shaking her head.
"I don't either," the younger Carol added.
"I was supposed to go on a date with Bobby in four days," Lori stressed.
"I'll tell him everything," J.D. responded, "and we can reschedule."
"Thanks J.D.," Lori said, relieved.
"You're welcome," J.D. replied.
"What about Mr. Lynn and Ms. Rita?" Varie asked.
"Our parental units are out of town for the week," Lisa explained.
J.D. nodded. "Okay. That's perfect. It'll give us time to fix this before they get back."
Lana commented, "It kind of feels strange seeing all of you our age, Lori."
"It does, Lana, doesn't it?" answered Lori.
"Boy, I forgot what it felt like to be a kid again," a younger Ember murmured. "When I died in the 1970s, I lost all of my childhood memories."
"We'll gladly help you, Ember," Lola answered. "That's what siblings do."
"Thank you, Lola," Ember replied.
A younger Gabrielle shook her head and said with a British accent, "I have no plans."
"Me neither," a younger Shannon admitted.
"But this is kind of cool," Vince added.
"It sure is," J.D. agreed. "All right, guys. We have 7 days until Mr. Lynn and Ms. Rita return home and Lisa makes her antidote. I'm going to set my watch for 156 hours." He set up his watch for 6 1/2 days. "Starting now."
The watch counts down from 156 hours.
The following six days have been quite successful.
On Day 2, Lucy won the National Championship for Lynn's team.
Laney was voted best comedian ever for Luan on Day 3.
On Day 5, Lily was named the best performer of the year and received an autographed poster of Mick Swagger.
Earlier on Day 4.
J.D. was watching TV and babysitting the Young Louds when the doorbell rang, and he answered it.
"J.D. amigo," Bobby said in greeting.
"Bobby compadre," J.D. responded. "I was about to call you. We have something to tell you. Come on in."
Lori hugged Bobby and said, "Bobby Boo-Boo-Bear."
"We had an accident with one of Lisa's experiments, and it made everyone younger except Lincoln and Linka, Lucy, Anastasia, Laney, Lana & Lola, Penny, Lisa, and Lily," J.D. explained.
"That's unusual," Bobby noted.
He goes to pick up Lori. "Babe, you're so cute as a kid."
Lori replied, "Thanks Boo-Boo-Bear."
"You're welcome," Bobby said.
"Lisa is working on an antidote to reverse the effects right now," J.D. explained, "but we only have three days."
"I absolutely understand J.D.," Bobby remarked. "We'll have to reschedule our date till it's finished."
Lori added, "Sounds fine, Boo-Boo-Bear."
Present day.
On Day 6, Lincoln and Linka and Leni made all kinds of awesome clothing and more, with Leni. Lana and Ember played in the mud, while Lola and Shannon had tea parties and pageant training lessons.
The seventh day arrived, and J.D. and Lisa were in her lab.
"There!" cried Lisa. "I have the antidote!"
"We'll have to make it in essence form with a dropper," J.D. emphasized.
"That's a good plan," Lisa responded.
For their dinner, J.D. prepared some spaghetti and meatballs.
"Come and get it!" shouted J.D.
J.D. added one drop of the antidote to the bowls of spaghetti that Lori, Carol, Leni, Luna, Ember, Gabrielle, Luan, Lynn, and Shannon were eating.
He gave them all bowls, and they ate everything.
Rita and Lynn Sr. returned just as the antidote started working and the kids were back to normal.
"It worked," J.D. cheered.
Their clothes, however, were destroyed.
"Oops," J.D. apologized. "Here!"
He gave them their robes, and Lori, Carol, Leni, Luna, Ember, Gabrielle, Luan, Lynn, and Shannon put them on.
"Thanks J.D.," Lori said, relieved. "We're normal again."
The door opened and in came Lynn Sr. and Rita.
"Hey guys," Lynn Sr. said. "We're home."
J.D. asked, "How was your trip, Mr. Lynn?"
"Ah, J.D., it was great," Lynn Sr. replied.
"I'm sorry you couldn't come, but it was a boring business trip," Rita apologized.
"That's alright," J.D. assured them. "But we've had quite a week. Lisa can explain it to you."
"Yes," Lisa answered. "Mother, Father, I was working on a Fountain of Youth Serum for Pop Pop. But Lynn's football hit me, and I dropped it, and it exploded, turning Lori, Carol, Leni, Luna, Ember, Gabrielle, Luan, Lynn, and Shannon into 6-year-olds again. I synthesized an antidote the entire time you were gone and got them back to normal."
"Here's a picture of what happened," J.D. said.
He showed them a photo of all of them in Lincoln's treehouse in the backyard.
"Aww!" gushed Rita. "I forgot how cute you all were as kids."
"Time has flown by," Lynn Sr. mused.
"Lori was supposed to be on a date with Bobby three days ago, but he showed up and I explained everything," J.D. reported.
"Bobby said I looked really cute as a little one," Lori said with a smile on her face.
"I believe it," Rita replied.
"Luna was supposed to be at a rehearsal," J.D. explained. "Lily filled in for her with her band and she won best performer."
"It was awesome," Lily said, "and I got an autographed poster of Mick Swagger."
"That really made me flip, brah," Luna said.
"Those are our little music masters," Lynn Sr. proudly declared.
"Luan was supposed to go to a comedy gig," J.D. explained, "and Laney filled in for her."
"They liked all of my jokes, and they gave me a trophy, which I signed for Luan," Laney explained.
"That's wonderful, Laney," Rita responded with a smile.
Me: Lynn was supposed to be at a baseball game. Lucy filled in for her and they won the National Championship.
"It was from when you were trying to make us perfect people like the Yates," Lucy confessed.
Lynn Sr. and Rita cheered for her.
"Way to go, Lucy!" cheered Lynn Sr.
"I'm very proud of you!" gushed Rita.
"I'm proud too," Lynn added. "Way to go Luce."
"Thanks Lynn," Lucy replied.
"Lisa made the antidote, which we served with the spaghetti dinner," J.D. explained. "But not in everyone else's spaghetti. Here it is."
He gave the antidote to Rita.
"But this turned out to be a great experience for us. We got to see what Lori, Carol, Leni, Gabrielle, Luna, Ember, Luan, Lynn, and Shannon were like when they were younger."
Lynn Sr. nodded. "That's true."
"But Lisa must be punished for this," Rita emphasized. "Lisa, no experiments for 2 days."
"Yes, mother," Lisa nodded in acceptance.
"However, I'm really proud of all of you for covering for your siblings when they had plans," Rita added.
"Thanks mom," Lucy said.
"I'm glad we could help mom," Laney remarked.
"In a way, Lincoln and Linka were the older siblings, but they didn't get payback against Lori, or who knows what would've happened," J.D. added.
"Yeah," Lincoln agreed. "I think I would have turned her into a Human Pretzel."
"You've learned some of what I do as the eldest, huh Lincoln?" Lori replied.
"I guess I picked up some things from you, Lori," Lincoln answered.
"We both did," Linka agreed.
Everyone laughed.
"Well, let's eat guys," J.D. said to everyone.
Lynn Sr. nodded. "Yeah. We should."
They finished their spaghetti and went to bed.
THE END.
