Chapter 3: First Match

Appearance: Decent young man with messy ghost white hair and pale skin
Hero Costume: Ghost white T-shirt with a jacket worn over with a hood in the same colour as the shirt, track pants, socks and sneakers.
Hauryu Hachurui
Gender: Male
Height: 170cm
Appearance: Resembles a komodo dragon with a muscular build and a strong, sturdy tail behind him.
Hero Costume: A pair of black pants, black boots and a gold chain with the gold letter, 'K' as an accessory
Yarishi Kantsu
Gender: Male
Height: 172cm
Appearance: Decent young man with brown hair, lightly tanned skin and wears a dark grey headband
Hero Costume: Traditional gladiator armour with arm guards, shoulder pauldrons, breastplate, leg guards and sandals
U.A and Ketsubutsu are beginning their Joint Training Battle today and right now, "Alright everybody! The first match will begin so those participating, please move to your respective starting points which also has the cages to lock up your opponents!" Vlad King ordered as, "I started first in the last joint training and once again, it happens." Hiryu thought as Yosetsu stood beside him and then, Aoyama and Hagakure joined him. Ready for battle.
Behind, "These guys may be first years but they are not to be underestimated just because we're seniors." Shindo told his peers. "So what are you implying?" Itejiro asked. "This is just the first match but it's also the beginning of what U.A is to expect from us." Shindo replied as he smiled slyly at the screen which is now showing the first 2 teams are walking to their starting points.
In the U.A side, "I've noticed you've been chatting with someone by the name of Hauryu." Yosetsu brought up as they walked to their starting point which is definitely the same like the ones used in Ground Gamma. "Hauryu was my senior in middle school." Hiryu brought up. "We were in the same mixed martial arts club and he taught me the moves. Once he graduated, he aimed to go to U.A but ended up in Ketsubutsu." Hiryu explained. "On the other hand, you got into the school that he never got to!" said Hagakure as the team reached their starting point.
On the other side, "Any plans?" Hireki asked. "Yeah. Each of us deal with one of them. I'll take on Hiryu for I know him better." Hauryu told them. "And once one of us defeats them and locks them up, provide aid to the others."
"Good plan. Once the battle begins, I'll transform and take flight." said Sakomoto. "And I'll vanish and take on any one of them! They won't know who hit' em!" Hireki cheered when the alarm sounded. Battle time.
The Battle
On the U.A side, the group just entered the city. "Hey, anyone know what their quirks are?' Aoyama asked. "I've seen Hauryu look like a komodo dragon." said Yosetsu. "Ooh. He must be really strong. I've read komodo dragons can be found in Indonesia." Hagakure brought up. "Exactly. He was from Indonesia and too moved here. It was before I met him in middle school." Hiryu added when, "I hear something."
Yosetsu got into a stance, Hagakure checked behind, Aoyama sparkled to his right and Hiryu got his scales quirk ready on his arms. Their current location is on the roadside with intersections as through the screen, "Something's coming..." said Kaibara. Yui nodded in agreement as back there, "What's that in the sky?" Hagakure noticed as a shadow approaches them casted from the sky.
"It's a bird!"
"It's a plane!"
"It's a...I don't what to say...I have no clue at all..." Everyone stared at Aoyama when, "Incoming!" Hiryu called out as all scattered and, "BAM!"
Whatever that was, it slammed the ground but took flight again as, "What is this? A dragon with wings but no arms?!" Hagakure noticed as it flew up facing them and then from the rood, "Got you all flanked..." Yarishi was on top of a building as the palm of his hands opened up holes and, "PWANG! PWANG! PWANG! PWANG!"
Hearing it, "Yikes!" Yosetsu managed to activate his shields on his hero costume as they welded together blocking the first 2 projectiles which ended up stuck on his shields while Hiryu jumped aside to dodge the remaining 2 projectiles which appeared to be, "Spears?" He noticed as Yarishi had his palms ready.

Hero name: Spearton
Quirk: Spear Shot!
He can shoot spears from the palm of his hands! The spears are sharp enough to pierce onto anything and the shafts can be used for support like climbing tall obstacles! He can also utilize them for close combat!
By shooting his spears, "Bonjour and thanks for the exposure so that I can sparkle with my new moves like this! Navel Stream!" Aoyama fired a navel laser as it targeted Yarishi and focused onto him. He responded by firing 4 spears to another building and jumped catching onto one of the shafts. He then got down as Aoyama continued to focus with his attack(Good thing he can hold longer with cramping his stomach for now). He strafed to his left and fired a spear at him but Toru threw a small piece of debris onto the spear knocking it aside. And then, "Sakomoto!"
"Coming down Spearton!" The dragon with wings and no arms flew down and, "WYVERN THRASH!"
The talons of the dragon smashed onto the ground again forming a huge hole as it picked up the rubble while flying up and threw them at U.A with a grin.

Quirk: Wyvern!
He can transform into the mythical wyvern enabling him to fly and attack with his talons and wings!
The rubble he threw was apparently shot apart from Aoyama's navel laser. "Apologies for negating your attack." He called out when, "POW!"
"Sacre bleu!" He was then punched again on the body but, "Hagakure wouldn't do that..." Hiryu thought. "Unless..."
"I got this! Warp Refraction!" Toru manipulated the light and a flash took place and soon enough, "Hey! I'm exposed!"
"It's Hireki!" Yosetsu exclaimed as he dodged a spear attack as Yarishi pulled one of his spears off the building he used to climb down and charged to attack the welder hero. As for Hireki, he made a run out of it.

Inpei Hireki!
Hero Name: Ghost Hero: Vanisher!
Quirk: Vanish!
He can turn himself invisible permanently! While invisible, he can conduct sneak attacks, infiltrations and other surprises! He can also make himself visible at will and likewise, can be exposed easily
"Better hide!" Hireki made a run but Hagakure pounced on him. "No escape for you!" The invisible girl then started throwing punches on his face. "OW! OW! Quit it! How come a girl like you punches so hard?!"
"Is that a sexist question?" She asked and suddenly, Sakomoto blew her off with his wings. "Thank!" Hireki then vanished as his physical body instantly faded into nothing. "He really can make himself invisible!" Hiryu thought as he appeared to have climbed onto a balcony giving him a high ground as he aimed his scale gauntlets at the wyvern when, "BAM!" The building collapsed!
At the waiting area, "Heh. Heh. The real battle begins now..." Shindo thought craftily as back there, "Familiar isn't it?"
"The element of surprise Hauryu? Ha. Like old times."
"Old times Hiryu."

Hero Name: Dragon Shredder!
Quirk: Komodo!
He has the appearance of a komodo dragon! Sharp teeth, claws, a strong tail and poison! His appearance also makes him strong and durable!
The 2 of them began the clash as, "Within One: Scale Carapace!" Hiryu covered himself entirely with his quirk as he delivered a straight punch. Hauryu dodged it and, "Komodo Tail Slam!" He swung his tail to slam his opponent but he jumped up and back to dodge it as he fired his scales.
At the waiting area, "Look at them go!" Ashido exclaimed. "Now this is what I call, action packed!" Kogoro cheered as the students made excited comments about the battle. Izuku is even noting down the new quirks in excitement. "How much info can he acquire with his extraordinary mind?" Kuroiro asked. "Even I can't figure it out but in the end, it's all jolted down." Tokoyami replied as Dark Shadow emerged to look at Kinoko who's chatting with Ochaco and Ashido but, "Dark Shadow get back here!"
Back there, Yosetsu was cornered by a barrage of spears being shot out as he hid inside a shop. "Now what do I do?" He thought when, "BAM!" A spear pierced through breaking the door open and Yarishi entered the shop armed with another spear. "Ha! Found you Welder. Any last words before I bring you to our area and lock you up?" Yosetsu can only gulp as, "Pinning Spear!" Yarishi charged to pin his spear on Yosetsu's hero costume for capture but he dodged it and his sleeve got a small tear. He then kicked the spear disarming him even separating the spearhead off it's shaft. "Oh no matter, I have another." Yarishi took the spear he shot out to break the door open and, "Hey Spearton. Guess what? I got what I need."
"Huh?" The next thing it happened, "My efforts were not in vain when I utilize my new super move! Hayawaza Chakko..." The next thing it happened, he threw out his steel logs out of his bag and, "Weaponcraft!" Welding took and, "Complete!" (In English, it's called, Construction-Done-Kwik: Weaponcraft)
"Impossible..." Yarishi was speechless at the sight of Yosetsu who appeared to have welded his steel logs into a perfect steel staff as he swung it around a bit and, "Now for the finishing touch." He took the separated spearhead and welded it to his staff. "Damn for once I'm impressed! Now this is a match!" An impressed Yarishi complimented as both fighters got ready. "Woo-hoo! A spear fight between 2 students will be an epic showdown! Yeah!" Present Mic commentated.
Watching this through the screen, "So that's how he got the staff just now..." Yaoyorozu thought and beside her, "I knew he'll pull this off despite straining his hands." said Kendo. "Care to explain?" Yaoyorozu asked. "During his hero course studies, Yosetsu found out that he can actually create something through his quirk." Kendo began. "And seeing you create that metal staff during the Sports Festival nailed him good. In his dorm every night, he tries to use his quirk to weld and create that weapon which would eventually come in handy. He practiced hard and sometimes, whatever he welded was not in perfect form but he never stopped or throw in the towel. He sacrificed his hands and efforts to perfect his welding."
"Amazing..." Yaoyorozu exclaimed as it cuts back to the match as Yosetsu and Yarishi clashed spear head on while outside, Sakamoto flew left avoiding a navel laser and then right to avoid another. Aoyama took aim again but waited a bit to prevent stomach cramps. "What's the matter? Too scared to miss a third time and cramp your stomach? Obviously your weakness was being exploited. Some of my peers told me about your quirk."
"True. I have limits but I can still make the most of it." He replied. "Oh we'll see about that! Wyvern Thrash!" Sakomoto flew down with his talons and at the same time from the staging ground, "Why is that sparkle dude just standing there looking at Sakomoto?" Yamada asked. "Maybe he's planning to fire his laser up close and personal at his face. I kinda feel like he's gambling his chances or something." Takara replied but behind, "He's gonna do it!" Izuku thought as back there as the wyvern flew down and close, "Gotcha! Navel Saber!"
"SHING!"
The wyvern roared in pain as he flew out of control and crashed onto some shophouses crashing landing hard. "Critical Hit! Can't Stop Twinkling waited at the precise time and used his new super move to slash Sakomoto! Yeah!" Present Mic commentated leaving some of the Ketsubutsu students stunned. "His hero name is what?" Shindo asked. "Don't ask me. He came up with it and we wonder why even today." Tenya spoke to him.
Back there and despite the slash, Sakomoto weakly tried to take flight again but, "Hagakure!" Aoyama fired another shot and on a building to his right, "See how you like this! Warp Reflection!" She redirected and manipulated the beam as it blasted onto a taller building causing rubble to collapse on the wyvern.
The dust cleared soon enough and Sakomoto now in his human form lay by the rubble defeated. "I'll lock him up! You help the others!" Aoyama slowly got him onto his shoulder and fired a navel laser to push himself out of battle. Toru then ran off to provide hero assistance.
Soon enough, Sakomoto is the first to be locked as Aoyama sparkled before the camera but finally he got the cramps and got onto his knees feeling it. "Hey everybody! U.A managed to defeat one of their 4 opponents! Will they get the advantage or will Ketsubutsu flip the coin on their side?" Present Mic commentated as everyone noticed it. "Ha! Ha! He manly used his navel saber at the right timing!" Kirishima cheered. "Go U.A!" Tetsutetsu cheered as the bros danced together with their arms around each other on the back. "Ha. You haven't seen anything yet." Shindo thought with a cunning smirk as back there, Yosetsu and Yarishi clashed on and harder as the shafts of the spears made contact repeatedly. "You haven't seen anything yet in my art of spearing!"
"Why do you call it the art of spearing?"
"Because it's my own personal fighting style developed by myself and through my quirk!" Yarishi then back away as Yosetsu charged and instead, he switched the top to the bottom of the spear shaft and struck his opponent on his forehead! "OUCHIE!" Feeling the impact, he dropped his welded spear as Yarishi kicked him and he crashed onto the wall hard and the entire section cracked, crumbled and collapsed exposing both heroes.
Near by, Hiryu and Hauryu clashed with everything they got. "Komodo Claws!" Hauryu slashed but Hiryu blocked it with his scaled arms. However, his opponent used the same attack with his other claw and struck him on the body. "AH!" Hiryu stumbled down as Hauryu lifted his tail for another slam. Wasting no time, Hiryu rolled to his right as the slam took effect, got on his knees and, "Sprouting Scales: Gatling Cannon Mode!"
"Kero? Is this an upgraded version of that super move he used on me back then?" Tsuyu asked Jurota. "Of course it is Lady Tsu! He and Sir Yosetsu were interned under a pro hero who taught them how to upgrade and improve on their super moves. As you have seen, Sir Yosetsu was able to weld his steel logs into a weapon and Sir Hiryu was able to extend his firing speed when shooting out his scales like now."
So true as back at the battle, Hiryu fired his scales with full power as Hauryu braced for impact. "These scales hit harder for some reason..." He then walked towards him enduring all the scales as Hiryu stepped back while firing his scale gauntlets. "My scale gauntlets might soon need to cool down..." At the same time, Aoyama arrived still feeling cramped but managed to fire another navel laser at Hauryu's face. "OW!"
"Direct hit!" He cheered and twinkled but a second later, his cramps became more painful when, "HEY!" He found himself being dragged away and it appears his cape is being pulled over. "Oh that can't be good..." Hiryu thought because soon enough, Aoyama found himself locked up as Hireki reappeared physically. "Ooh we have a tie everybody! Vanisher has locked up our twinkling hero still cramped in his stomach and cell!" Present Mic commented as, "Yeah! We're gaining on them!" Makabe cheered.
And back at the battle, Yarishi emerged and, "Twin Spear Strike!" He threw 2 spears but, "Reverse Scales!" The scales protrude outwards and the spears did nothing at all. "Oh come on!" Yarishi groaned when Hiryu punched him with his scaled fist allowing Hagakure to sneak behind him and unleash her barrage of punches.
As for the other 2, "Let's settle this once and for all!" Hauryu stated. "Right." Hiryu looked at the timer, 5 minutes left and so far, each team defeated an opponent each and better they wrap this up. "No big deal...heard that Spearton pinned Welder with a barrage of spears pinning him completely. Now that I just vanished, all I have to do is to sneak up on Invisible Girl and-"
All of a sudden, Hireki tripped. "Oops." He thought as, "Is someone behind me?" Hagakure turned around and, "KSH!"
"My bad and...why am I touching something soft and round..." He then realized something. First, he materialized back and next, both of his hands were, "You...you...YOU!" An enraged Hagakure pounced on him and, "SICKO! PERVERT!"
Everyone including the teachers cringed at a brutal scene on the screen as, "This was not the first it happened." Shoji recalled. "Oh?" Itejiro heard him. "Enlighten me on this."
"A simple description would be an embarrassing and unintentional move by one of our senpais through the elbow resulting in a bouncy feeling." Shoji explained. "Very enlightening." Itejiro replied with full understanding.
And back there, a series of martial art moves were used as Hiryu and Hauryu clashed. A minute had passed as they both dodge and attack and vice versa. "Last time we sparred, you were fast and this time, you were faster than I thought!" Hauryu commented as he tried to slam him his tail but missed. "And last time you hit hard but this time you hit harder." Hiryu commented as he fired some scales from his gauntlets but a tail swipe sent them away. "Komodo Poison Spit!" Hauryu shot out poisonous spits like bullets as Hiryu jumped out of the way as some of the spit shot through some buildings. "Like real bullets..." He thought as the timer is left with 3 minutes. None are focusing on it as both rivals got ready with Hiryu prepping his quirk and Hauryu readying his claws and cleaning his mouth.
"One last attack to end this." They thought and charged. "SHING!"
Both sped past each other. And then after several seconds, Hiryu collapsed on the ground. "It was an honour to battle you." Hauryu stated with respect and back there, Hireki was being pummeled big time when a tail wrapped Hagakure for capture! "Oh come on!" She groaned as Hauryu checked his teammates. Both had brutally bruised faces. "How are you guys holding?"
"We can still walk...and see a bit." Yarishi replied. "Right, let's gather the defeated and end the match." Hauryu ordered as they got to work. "Our plan went well despite their surprise counters and willpower to fight on. Respect for our opponents."
And soon enough, the remaining opponents joined Aoyama in the cell as time's up and, "Wow! The first match has been concluded! What starts with a tie ends with a win from Ketsubutsu! Yeah!" Present Mic commented with enthusiasm.
Back at the staging grounds...
"This is no joke...Ketsubutsu sure flipped the coin and proved their experience to us." Shoto spoke to himself. "I can't believe it! They had the advantage and then, boom right back onto them!" Setsuna exclaimed. "Definitely a challenging joint training battle." said Tsuburaba and even Kaibara nodded in agreement.
For their opponents. "Oh yeah! We're on the lead!" Tatami cheered along with several female students. Even Shindo smiled craftily about their first win as he set his sight on U.A. "What you've seen is just the beginning...soon we'll sweep all the matches and victory is ours..."
The first match is over and Ketsubutsu sure proved their worth as seniors to their freshmen rivals. Now next up is the second match, will U.A get a win or will Ketsubutsu win twice in a row? The action and fighting is something!
Let's hope the fight scenes are okay. Yes expect some to be short or long depending on how the teams clash and remember, updates will take a long while. Still, see you in the next chapter!
