Chapter 4: The Forest of Illusion and Star Road

The Yoshi Tour is seen driving past the forest while Yoshi Sr. says, "And here we have the Forest of Illusion. We shouldn't enter these woods because you can instantly get lost on one foot. Plus, it can create and present the image of your greatest fear."

"Greatest fear…," Prika was concerned.

Just then, the images of Bowsette and Boosette appeared close to the forest. She became shocked, along with the Toad Twins, Yoshi, and Birdo. The photos then waved with sinister smiles.

"Bowsette Jr….We came to pick you up," said the Bowsette image.

"Time to come home so you can take us to your Papa and Unkey," said Boosette image.

After they laughed, Prika screamed in terror, which activated her telekinesis and made the tour bus float. The children screamed at this happening.

"Good gracious! Prika, calm down! It's just an imitation! Not real," said Yellow Toad, while Prika's friends hugged her to ease her terror.

"Keep up the hugs, kids! If she is irritated more, we'll be sent to space," said Blue Toad.

"Is that possible?" Yoshi asks.

"We don't know how powerful her powers are. So, whatever it takes, we need to calm her!"

"Wait! I got it! Hey, kids. How about some snacks," said Birdo, taking out some Yoshi Cookies in a bowl.

When Prika saw them, her powers stopped and made the bus land safely. Poochy was in the driver's seat while covering his eyes with his paws in fear and lying on the chair on his belly.

"It's okay, Poochy. Prika calmed down," said Yoshi, going over to him.

As the children it the Yoshi Cookies, Tallulah said, "Wow, Prika. I think your Luma Powers are stronger than they look."

"I suggest you take a class that will help you channel your powers," said Garth.

"If I ever was stressed, I take a warm bath and drink some tea," said Kennedy.

"Aren't you a little too young to drink tea?" Brandon question.

"And aren't you too young to be this smart?"

"Fair point."

"Uh, guys. I don't think Prika was paying attention," said Bruce, noticing Prika enjoying the Yoshi Cookies.

"Papa and Unkey Luigi were right. These Yoshi Cookies are great," said Prika happily.

"Say, Prika. I don't mind helping you channel your Luma Powers," said Lubba.

"Okay, Mr. Lubba."

"Can I take those times too?!" said Baby Luma.

"You should join, BL. We both have special powers worth training for."

Baby Luma then blushed and squealed in response, but Lyla said, "Sometimes, I think his crushing antics will lead to his downfall."

"I agree," the rest of the Super Detective Siblings added.

"I wonder how Papa and Unkey are doing?" Prika said.

Once the tour bus drives off, the Mario Brothers, their Princesses, and the Ghost Pets arrive.

Peach's right eye twitched in suspicion, and she said, "Um…Mario, are we following the trail to the culprit, or are you trying to cover up that you want to follow Prika for protection?"

"Hmmm….Never thought of that for an excuse," said Mario.

"You worry too much," said Luigi.

"I'm a first-time father. I'm anxious."

"Alright, back to business. It looks like our culprit has entered the Forest of Illusion."

"Luigikins, people now refer to it as the Enchanted Forest," said Daisy.

"Well, how enchanting is a haunted forest that projects your greatest fears and traps you until you come out insane as Bowser and King Boo?"

"We're not going into the forest, right?"

"Heck no. Mario and I dealt with it before, and we were lucky to get out of there with our sanity in check. I'm glad whatever went in there is getting there."

But Pepperoni barked for attention to show everyone that footprints were trying to trick them into going into the forest.

"Good eye, Pepperoni. The perpetrator was trying to trail us off, but it underestimated our detection," said Luigi, giving his Polterpuppy belly rubs.

Daisy puffs up her face in envy before stomping past the pair.

"I'm glad Daisy flower is in the mood to do the right thing," said Luigi, watching her and blushing.

"I don't think that's why she did that. I think she's upset," said Mario, which shocked Peach.

"You're one to talk, Mario," said Peach, ashamed that he hadn't noticed her disappointment, and stomped after Daisy.

"Huh?" the Mario Brothers, confused.

Back at the tour bus, then arrives at Star Road as Yoshi Sr says, "And here we have the location where the early settlers arrived, Star Road. When the volcano, all life on our Island was wiped out only, leaving fossils of our ancestors behind 10 thousand years past, until five stars fell here and knocked open a fossil egg. Due to the magical powers of the stars, the first Yoshi hatched. Thanks to these stars for bringing life and hope to our Island; our ancestors created the Star Road in their honor."

"Is it possible to catch a falling star from here? I want one!" said Stephine.

"It's hard to catch one since they fall in gravity speed. You can get hurt."

"Alas, things are preventing us from getting what we want," said Bryan.

"Don't make Stephanie feel worse, Bryan," said Paula.

"Hey, Baby Luma. I think I see your Mama over there," said Lubba, spotting Rosalina, Yvette, and Bernadette with the research team.

As they salvage for space debris, Yellow Toad said, "Blue, look. It's our girlfriends."

"Mr. YT and Mr. BT have girlfriends?" Mark questioned.

"I find that hard to believe," Cora added.

But when the Toad Twins give them a suspicious look, Saul quickly covers his friends' mouths and says, "They mean they can't believe that you had girlfriends with joy. We are proud of you."

"Thank you, kids," Blue Toad continued. "Hey, ladies. Guess who?!"

Rosalina, Yvette, and Bernadette notice the tour bus. They smiled as they came over to the bus.

"Mama!" said Baby Luma happily.

"Hi, Rosalina. Hi, Miss Yvette and Miss Bernadette," said Prika.

"Hello, children," three ladies respond.

"THE Princess of the Cosmos is here before us!" said Sally.

"This trip isn't bad after all," said Barney.

The Fun Killers then fainted in joy as Yellow Toad said, "What brings you three lovely ladies to Yoshi Island?"

"Work. Space debris was detected from here. Why aren't we surprised?" Yvette reply.

"Having a tour of Yoshi Island for a school field trip? How cute," said Bernadette.

"Nature is serene and mysterious here. This will help the children become more connected to it," said Blue Toad.

"Well, we must be going. Next stop is the Chocolate region, where we go to Coco University," said Yoshi Sr.

"Maybe we can meet during lunch at my restaurant," said Yoshi.

"Then, we can check out my clothing store after it. It's also next to a gift shop," said Birdo before the tour bus rode off.
