Nuka slowly wakes up as he feels soft nuzzles on his cheek. He opens his eyes tiredly and finds Kiara by his side as she licks his head. "Hmm? Kiara? Wh-What is it," the lion cub yawned.
"Good morning, Nuka," the lioness greeted the cub. "Wanna go out and have fun?"
"Huh? Bu-But… aren't we grounded? Aren't we not allowed to leave the cave?"
"Yeah. That's what makes it fun," Kiara smiles as she pokes Nuka's nose with her paw.
"Bu-But won't we get into trouble if we leave the cave?"
"That's what makes it more fun. Whenever you're young, you can do whatever you want and deal with the consequences later."
"I… I don't like getting into trouble… I… I get punished…"
"Don't be scared, Nuka. My parents are nothing like yours. They won't do anything horrible to you. Plus, my parents always do something like this whenever they are in trouble. They'll understand. Come on! Let's have some fun!"
The lion cub took a while to think about it as he nodded, "Okay! You got it, Kiara! Let's go have some fun!" Nuka smiles as he and his best friend exited the cave.
The two wandered through the land until they spotted Kiara's two best friends, Zuri and Tiifu chitchatting. The two lionesses were surprised by them both out of the cave as they both approached them. "Kiara," Tiifu said, confused and worried. "What are you two doing out here? Aren't you grounded? You both will get in trouble for sneaking out!"
"Don't worry, Tiifu," Kiara calmed her friend. "You both know this isn't the first time I sneak out while I'm grounded. You know even Kion sneaked out more than me. You have nothing to worry about."
"She got a good point, Tiifu," Zuri agreed. "Plus, she brought this cutie here to be with us," she smiles as she heads over to Nuka and nuzzles his cheek while the lion cub giggles adorably.
"Still, I hope your parents won't be upset or angry about this," Tiffu said, more worried.
"Don't be stressed," Kiara calmed her best friend. "My parents will get over it. Kion always did this a hundred times. Let's just relax and have some fun."
"I would love to have some fun," the lion cub smiles. "Especially with all three of you."
"Awww! Nuka," Zuri smiles as she nuzzles Nuka's cheek again. "I always love being with a cutie like you!"
"So, what do you girls wanna play with Nuka," Tiffu asked them.
"How about we play hide and seek with Nuka," Kiara asked them.
"I love it! I would love for cute little Nuka to come seeking us," Zuri chuckled.
"What do you say, Nuka? Wanna play hide and seek?"
"Oh-Oh uhhh… Su-Sure," Nuka nodded cutely. "I always love playing that game."
"That's wonderful to hear! Do you wanna count and seek us?"
"Definitely! I… I'm not pretty good at hiding."
"Oh don't be like that. I'm sure you're great at hiding," Kiara smiles as she nuzzles the cub's cheek.
"Th-Thank you!"
"Let's get started. Close your eyes and count to ten while we hide."
Nuka nodded as he went over in front of a tree; he covered his eyes with his paws while the three lionesses went off to hide. The lion begins to count to ten, giving them enough time to hide. He searched through the forest looking for Kiara and the others while being happy.
Suddenly, he heard leaves rocking nearby while he smirks as he sneaks towards it, thinking it was Kiara or her friends. The lion cub gets closer to it until whatever it runs off through the grasses as he begins to chase it. Nuka realized that it was small so it must be a delicious meal for him to be his first catch as he kept hunting it.
When the prey stops, Nuka sneaks towards it and leaps forward to catch it. When he emerged, there was no sign of his prey anywhere. Suddenly, something emerged and tackled the lion cub to the ground. He realized that the animal he was chasing is a female jaguar cub as she held him down. "Nice try," she chuckled.
When he realizes that it's a jaguar, he stops resisting as he realizes how amazing she looks. "Whoa! Who and what are you," Nuka asked the cub.
"The names Para," the jaguar introduced herself. "I'm a jaguar. That's funny. I had never seen a male lion cub before around Prideland. Who are you?"
"M-My name is Nuka. I… I'm from the outland. I live with the king and his family."
"Whoa," she's surprised as she gets off the lion cub. "You're living with the king of Prideland? You must be awesome! Being a lion from the outland living with the royal family? That sounds cool."
"You… You think so?"
"Definitely. I bet you're cool."
"Th-Thank you!"
Kiara searches around for Nuka after he wasn't looking for them for a while. When she finally found him, the lioness was surprised to see him with another cub as she stood by and watched him interact with someone around his age. "So, you wanna have some fun together," Para smirks.
"Fu-Fun? What kind of fun?"
"Two cubs messing with others and having a great time kind of fun!"
"Oh… uhhh…" Nuka became nervous about the idea until he noticed Kiara from a distance. She waved her paw at him, giving him the 'go have fun' signal. The lion cub smiled as he nodded to Para, "Yes! I would love to have some fun with you."
"Cool. Follow me. I know some animals we can have fun with." She leads the way while Nuka follows the jaguar cub to have some fun.
Kiara smiles about Nuka making a new friend as she heads off while her best friends regroup with her. "Kiara, do you know where's Nuka," Tiifu asked her friend.
"He's alright," Kiara calms them down. "He made a new friend around his age."
"Oh! That's wonderful to hear! I'm glad he got a new friend."
"Awww," Zuri whined. "But I wanna spend more time with that little cutie."
"Don't worry, Zuri. You'll spend more time with him whenever he's available," Kiara comforted her. "Besides, let him have fun with another cub. He doesn't have that many friends around his age."
During the open field with all of the other animals, the two cub's chat with each other while they're looking for fun. "So uhh you're a jaguar," Nuka asked. "I've never met a jaguar before in my life."
"So you've been in the outland for that very long," Para asked him. "What's it like?"
"Well uhh… it was rough for me when I was born. We hardly have enough food there so my family steals from the Prideland."
"Oh. I'm sorry to hear that. Well, at least your family is living here now."
"Well… uhh… I'm the only one who lives here. Not my family…"
"Huh? Why not?"
"My dad drives me out of my home because I'm so weak and disgraceful. That's basically why I'm living here now."
"Sorry to hear that, Nuka."
"It's alright. I'm doing well living with the king and his family."
"That's good to hear."
"So, what do you wanna do for fun?"
"Shh! Get down and be quiet. We're gonna have fun with one of the animals I love messing with." The two cubs get down within the tall field they're crawling toward an animal while Nuka is confused. "Let's climb this tree but be quiet."
They climbed the tree by using their claws as they're getting on the branch. The two cubs waited until one of Kion's best friends, Ono, landed on the tree Nuka immediately recognized him. The lion cub then spotted Kion showing up to catch up to his egret friend. "Yo Ono," the lion prince shouted, "Any signs of any hyenas or troublemakers?"
"Nope. No sign of any serious problems," the bird told his best friend. "Looks like everything is normal as always."
"Awesome! So, do you have any plans for today?"
"Well, I'm planning to search for some-"
Suddenly, Para jumped next to the egret and roared at him as the bird was scared then fell off the branch to land on his friend's back. The jaguar cub laughs and runs off while Nuka follows her into the field as he's panicking from what just happened. "Wh-Who was that?"
"It's that little troublemaker jaguar that has been messing with other animals across the Prideland. This is the fourth time she did this to me this week."
"Come on, Ono. She's just a kid. Wait a second. Who was that other cub with her?"
"I don't know. Could be her partner in crime?"
Nuka regrouped with Para within the forest as he's catching his breath from the stunt. "Wh-What was that," the lion cub asked her. "You… You scared one of the Lion Guards!"
"So? I scared a lot of animals," Para smirks. "That's what makes it fun. All these animals loved being scared and pranked. Everyone loves it. Scaring others and pranking them is what makes everyone so happy all the time."
"It does? I didn't know that. I thought it upset others?"
"No way. Doing it to others is funny and awesome! No one takes it personally. It's just a joke."
"I don't know… It doesn't seem right…"
"Well, I guess we're not gonna hang out then."
"What?"
"If you don't like pranking others, then I guess you're not cool. I guess those royal families make you lame and boring."
"Wh-Wait! I… I'm cool! I… I… I've been pranking others ever since I got here," he lied nervously.
"Really huh? Then how come I didn't notice or saw your pranks in action," Para smirks as she already knew he was lying.
"I… I guess you weren't around?" The lion cub laughs nervously.
"Alright. How about you show me your pranks in action? Prank one animal then."
The lion cub begins to panic about pranking someone in front of the jaguar and she knows he's going to fail. Suddenly, he came up with a bad idea about whom he was going to prank and he immediately regretted it. "I'm not going to prank one animal… I'm going to prank two."
"Lunchtime," Pumbaa shouted as he carried a plate of hundreds of bugs with his mouth to Timon. "I gathered your favorite pile of bugs, old buddy! With one juicy delicious sack worm, you love so much!"
"Aww! That's very sweet of ya, ya big ol warthog," Timon smiles as his best friend places his food in front of him. "And I got one just for ya, buddy!" The meerkat grabs a plate of hundreds of bugs for Pumbaa as well. "I gathered your favorite bugs with five delicious blue beetles you were begging to find for weeks!"
"Awwww! You're gonna make me cry!"
"Find them all just for ya, ya big loving warthog!"
The two of them hug each other as they didn't know that Nuka and Para arrived at their lunch without being spotted. The jaguar cub smirks at the lion as she waits to see his prank on them. The little lion takes a deep breath and sneaks towards the meerkat and the warthog as he gets close enough to their food. "Alright! Enough talking! It's lunchtime," Timon shouted as the two of them were about to eat.
Then, Nuka grabs a rock with his jaws and tossed it behind them as the two turned around toward the noise. The lion cub leaned towards the pile of bugs as he became disgusted. He picked Timon's worm onto Pumba's plate and hid when they looked back. "Ha! Wait for a second," the meerkat notices. "What's my favorite worm doing on your plate?!"
"Huh," Pumba confused. "I guess it crawled onto it." He returns the bug to his best friend's plate. "Here you go! Back to the way it was!"
"Aw! Thanks, buddy!"
Nuka distracted them and did the same thing again but this time put the blue beetles on Timon's plate. "Huh? What the?! What are my favorite beetles doing on your plate?!"
"What? How did all five of them get on my plate?"
"You tell me."
"Ha! Wait for a second! Are you implying that I took them off your plates? I don't even like them."
"Unlikely story."
"Okay look!" The meerkat put the beetles back on his best friend's plate. "There! Back on your plate! Can we eat now?"
"Okay. Sorry for accusing you, pal."
"Ha, Hakuna Matata!"
The lion cub distracted them again and he moved Timon's plate right in front of Pumbaa. The meerkat turned around and saw his plate as he shouted, "Huh?! What's the big idea?!"
"What?" Pumbaa looks down and sees his best friend's plate right in front of him. "What the?! How did your plate get over here?"
"Oh, I get it! You're so hungry that you wanna make me a delicious meal and then eat it all by yourself!"
"What?! No! I would never do that to you, Timon."
"Then why is my plate right in front of you?!"
Pumbaa moves the plate back to his best friend as he's getting annoyed. "There! Happy?!"
"Let's just eat!"
Nuka distracted them again and moved the warthog's plate to the meerkat. "Huh?! Oh, I see what's happening," Pumbaa shouted as Timon was surprised to see his best friend's plate right in front of him. "You're messing with my head about me stealing your food but the truth is that you're trying to steal my food!"
"What?! I already told you that I don't want your… Ha, wait a minute! How should I know if you're trying to do this scheme for me not wanting my food so you can have it all to yourself?!"
"Do I look like the brains?! All I want is to eat my food! That's it!"
"Same here!" Timon returns the plate of bugs to his best friend. "Here's your food."
"Thank you! Sorry for being rude!"
"Hakuna Matata! Let's eat!"
Before they could start eating their meal, Nuka distracted them one more time but he took the jiggly fat worm off of the meerkat plate and let it go on the ground as the lion cub began licking the dirt to get rid of the taste. "Who's making that noise," Timon shouted.
"Who cares! Let's eat," Pumbaa shouted as he started to eat his meal.
"Yeah, you're ri-AHHHH!! My favorite worm! It's gone! Where could've-" He stops as he stares at the warthog eating his meal while the meerkat stares angrily at him.
The warthog stops eating as he notices the angry look on his best friend's face. "What?"
"You ate my worm!"
"What?! No, I didn't!"
"My worm was here on my plate but when I turned around, it was gone and you were eating! You ate my worm!"
"What?! I didn't eat your worm! I found that worm just for you!"
"Only to eat it out of my hand!"
"Timon! I would never do that to you!"
"Really?! Show me what's in your mouth! I wanna see what's in your mouth!"
"N-No!"
"And why not?!"
"Because it's disgusting!"
"Fine. Okay. I understand. Hakuna Matata." Pumbaa resumes eating his bugs while Timon was examining one of his bugs until he attacks his best friend as he tries to open the warthog's mouth. "Open your mouth! Open it! Give me back my worm!"
Nuka sneaks away from the scene as he becomes ashamed of what he had done to them. He returned to the jaguar cub as she was laughing quietly from the prank. "Wow! That was awesome and clever! Making those two fight each other over their food! That's so hilarious! You really do know how to prank others!"
"Th-Thank you," Nuka smiles nervously. "It… It's nothing."
"Nothing? That was brilliant! You're awesome and a whole lot of fun! We should definitely have more fun together!"
"Absolutely! I would love that very much!"
"Let's prank some more animals!"
"Wh-What? Can-Can't we do something else fun?"
"What's more fun than pranking others? You're already a master at it. Let's prank more!"
"Uhhh… Are you sure it won't bother anyone?"
"Of course. No one is gonna get hurt. It's just gotta be a joke. Like I said everybody loves jokes."
"Umm okay."
"Let's go!" The jaguar led the innocent lion to their next prank on another animal.
The two cubs went back to the fields to seek an animal to prank while staying low. They spotted Bunga playing with mangoes by kicking them into the air, entertaining himself. Nuka is more scared and nervous about the way his new friend is staring at the badger. Para smirks as she whispers to the lion cub, "There's our next target is that honey badger."
"Bu-But that's the member of the Lion Guards," Nuka told her while he was afraid. "We're already pranked one of them. If we prank more of them, we'll be in big trouble!"
"Yeah… but that'll be more fun. Plus, they'll never catch us. Come on! Relax and let's have fun."
Para leads the lion cub to the tree next to the honey badger as they climb it while being quiet. Nuka doesn't understand what the prank is until when they reach a tree branch, he spots a wasp nest and begins to panic. "Alright, when he kicked the mango high enough, you'll grab it and I'll drop the nest," she told him the plan.
"Bu-But can't we drop something else that isn't dangerous?!"
"No time. Here it comes!"
Bunga keeps kicking the mango while talking to himself, "Ah yeah! Bunga for the win as always! Awesome! Unstoppable! And the total best of the best! Nothing can take you!" He kicked it very high and waited to come down. Until Nuka grabs the mango with his jaws as Para uses her claws to cut the nest down. The honey badger releases a powerful kick at the nest, causing it to break apart. "What the?! Is that a-'' The hornets swarm together to attack Bunga as he begins to panic and scream while he flees away.
After the honey badger ran away, Nuka felt horrible about hurting Bunga while the jaguar laughed at the prank. "That was so hilarious," she laughs. "The way he fled and panicked! So awesome!"
"Th-That doesn't look fun. It looks rather mean."
"He'll be laughing afterward. Come on, I got a perfect prank on these morons!"
"I… I don't feel comfortable with hurting other animals."
"Don't worry. These animals are jerks and they totally deserve to get a mean prank."
"Are… Are you sure?"
"Definitely! These animals are a bunch of jerks and they always picked on so many other good animals. They deserve to be pranked badly."
"Well umm… as long as no other animals get hurt."
"Come on! I got an awesome plan!" Para laughs as she leads Nuka to their next victim.
The two enter the forest and hide within a brush as three hyenas drag three pieces of meat for their lunch. Nuka panicked as he recognized the three hyenas are his uncles and aunt: Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed. He was about to tell Para until she sneaked over to the meat and quickly dragged it away before being spotted.
When Banzai was about to enjoy his meal, he noticed that his food was gone. He looked around until he saw Ed chewing his food. "You… You bean head," he yelled at him. "You ate my meat!" The dumb hyena shook his head telling him that he didn't. The enraged hyena tackled him and began attacking each other.
Shenzi was eating her meal when she noticed the fighting as she approached them and barked, "WILL YOU IDIOTS KNOCK IT OFF!! I'm trying to eat here!"
"He stole my food!"
"Ed is too stupid to steal anything from anyone."
"So you stole my food!"
"So what if I did?! Wait a second I didn't-" Banzai tackled her and the two began fighting each other. Ed was confused about their fighting but he didn't care and joined them as all three of them were attacking each other savagely.
Para was laughing quietly from the fight while the lion cub felt bad about his aunt and uncles fighting each other. "So uhh… Is this the prank," he whispered to her.
"For them," she smirks. "We need this meat for an awesome prank for these jackals."
"What are jackals?"
"They're like hyenas but smarter than them… Well, all but one of them. Follow me." The jaguar cub leads the lion cub to a tree with vines as she rips it off and ties it around the meat with her mouth while heading back to the open field.
The two cubs sneak up and spot the pack of jackals gathering together as they interact with each other and lie in the tall grass. "Are you sure this is a good idea," Nuka asked nervously. "These jackals look dangerous."
"Don't worry. We're not pranking these guys," she told him as she pointed at a goofy-looking male jackal wandering by. "We're going to prank that moron over there. He's not that smart like the others. He's an easy target."
"Are you sure that we won't get caught by them?"
"Definitely! I pranked him before. How about you give it a go?"
"M-Me? Wh-What do I do?"
"Throw the meat out and when he gets closer to it, use the vine to drag it for him to chase it until he's exhausted."
"And you've done this before?"
"About four times a matter of fact."
"Are you sure he won't spot me?"
"As long as you stay in the tall grass, he'll never see ya. You'll be fine."
The lion cub grabs the vine with his mouth while dragging the meat as he hides in the grass. Nuka then tossed the meat in front of the male jackal as the goofy animal spotted. "Huh? Meat," Goigoi shouted. "And I didn't have to hunt it? Best day ever!" As soon as the canine gets near it, Nuka pulls the vine to get the food away from him. "What? Ha! Come back here! I want to eat ya!"
Goigoi begins to chase the meat while the lion cub is fleeing from the jackal as fast as he can. "Stupid still living piece of meat! You're not the first meat that gets away from me and I swear that you won't be the last!" Nuka does his best to run away from him as fast as he can. "Just let me eat you! I'll be quick!"
The lion cub is doing his best to avoid getting caught by him until he spotted a female jackal, Reirei, in his way and he became frightened. He decided to rush right underneath her, causing her to look in his direction until Goigoi ran into her. When Nuka hid in the bushes, the male jackal picked himself up and searched for the meat. "Where is it?! Where did it go?! It has to be here!"
"GOIGOI," the female jackal yelled at him. "What are you doing?!"
"I was chasing this meat! I was about to get… until I ran into you," he laughs nervously.
She smacked him behind the head with her paw. "I didn't see any meat! And you can't be that dimwit! Meat can't run away! It's not alive!"
"Yes, it was! About four meats ran away from me!"
Nuka overheard their conversation as Para regrouped with him while she laughed quietly. "Oh jeez," she giggles. "You also got Reirei too!"
"Who?"
"Goigoi's mate."
"It's either you're not that smart or someone is pranking you," Reirei told her husband.
"Impossible," Goigoi shouted. "No one can trick me! I'm not that easy to play."
Then, Para tossed the meat right in the sight of the male jackal. Goigoi saw it and jumped toward it after he accidentally shoved his mate to the ground. "There it is!" The jaguar cub quickly pulls the food out of the way before he can take a bite. "What?! Where did it go?!"
Reirei growled as she picked herself up. "Are you messing with me?! Is this some kind of a prank you're pulling?!"
"What? No! I saw the meat here and now it's gone! It should be here somewhere."
"There's no meat! I don't see any meat!"
"It was just here! I saw it! I swear!"
"Are you trying to make me look dumb?!"
"What?! No! I would never-" Para tossed the meat out again in the jackal's sight as Goigoi shoved his wife to the ground and jumped towards it but she pulled it away again. "I got it-Wait! Where did it go?!"
Reirei growled in complete annoyance as she roared, "That's it! I have it!" She tackled her husband to the ground and began attacking him savagely as he begs his wife to stop while defending himself. Para giggles quietly as the two attack each other while she and Nuka flee from the scene.
After the two reach a safe distance, Para was laughing at their pranks earlier while Nuka felt a little ashamed about the jackals. "I… Are you sure that those animals were bad," he asked her.
"Definitely," she nodded. "That jackal named Reirei always calls themselves the smartest animal than all of us. They always trick others for their food and always mock them."
"Jeez. They sound like jerks."
"So you understand why they deserve it."
"I guess."
"Don't worry. They'll get over it. Come on! I know we'll use this meat to prank these other jerks who totally deserve it!"
"Are… Are you sure?"
"Definitely! These birds are so annoying. They'll get what they deserve. Follow me!" The jaguar cub grabs the meat with her jaws while leading Nuka to their next prank.
Later, the two cubs climbed the tree and got onto one of the branches as the two looked down at the ground. "Okay here's the plan," Para explained to him. "We'll lay that meat right here for these vultures and when they land here, we scare them off the branch and they'll land on that ant hill." She pointed at that gigantic ant hill as Nuka became scared of this prank.
"Are… Are you sure this is necessary," the lion cub shakes nervously. "I feel like we're gonna take it too far."
"No way. These vultures definitely deserve it. Oh! Hang on! Here they come! Quick behind the leaves."
Nuka the jaguar and lion quickly hid within the leaves as three vultures flew above the tree they were on until their leader, Mzingo, spotted the piece of meat on the branch. "Gentle vultures," he informed them. "Looks like we have the perfect catch of the day."
The three birds landed in front of the meat as they were about to devour it until their leader stopped them. "Excuse me! I'm the brain out of every animal in Prideland. I deserve to feed on this fine meat."
Para was about to scare the vultures until Nuka stopped her as he whispered, "Wait, please! I don't think we should do this."
"Whatcha talking about," she whispered confusedly. "These feather birds definitely deserve it."
"I'm sure they do but it doesn't feel right. Maybe we should leave."
"And let them eat the meat we catch?! No way!"
"We didn't catch that meat, we stole it."
"From hyenas who already stole it."
"Still I think we should leave right-"
"This meat is perfect for me and not those pathetic outlanders," they heard Mzingo's voice as they listened in. "Those fools ruined their opportunity to live a luxurious life in Prideland but they threw it all away by following that pathetic Scar. Now they're living in the outland laying to waste. He and his pathetic family deserve to be abandoned and die there."
Nuka becomes upset about the vultures disrespecting his family as he continues listening in. "That seems pretty harsh, boss," one of the vultures asked him. "Didn't you hear that Scar's youngest son was killed by King Simba?"
"I did and it was hilarious!" The lion cub slowly becomes angry at the rude insults. "I know Scar was a horrible leader but I didn't know he was a terrible father! It's for the best! I'm sure his son would've grown up to become a failure like his father. I hope the rest of Scar's family gets what they deserve. That lion cub got what he deserves."
Nuka became completely outraged by the rude vulture insults. "Alright! Now for this delicious-" The lion cub emerged and roared at the birds, scaring all three of three as they fell off the branch and crashed into the ant hill. They pick themselves up until they feel something crawling all over them. "What's this?"
"Ha boss," one of the vultures told his leader. "There's these uhh… fleas on us."
"What? Wait a minute… these aren't fleas… these are… ANTS?!!" The three vultures begin panicking as they're being attacked by the ants. "NO!! DON'T BITE ME!!! BITE THEM!!! THEY'RE WEAK!! I'M THE SMARTEST OUT OF THEM ALL!!!" The three birds flew away while they were still being bitten rapidly by the ants.
The two cubs laugh hard from the prank on the vultures after watching them flee away. "Oh my gosh," Para laughs. "That was so awesome! You got those losers really good! Well done Nuka!"
"Ye-Yeah," Nuka nodded. "Th-That feels so good! Those bird brains definitely deserve it! You were right about those jerks!"
"Told ya! Sorry about them talking mess about you."
"It's okay. They got what they deserve at the end."
"Definitely! Do you wanna do another prank?"
"Sure! Who are we gonna prank next?!"
"We're gonna prank this jerk crocodile and his goons. He picked on me the most and called me names. I wanna pay him back for it."
"What's the plan?"
"I'll tell you on the way. Follow me!" She leads him to the crocodile's location.
Para led Nuka to a pond only to find four crocodiles relaxing in the water. The lion cub became nervous from the look of their leader, Kiburi, as he followed the jaguar climbing up the tree. "Are you sure you wanna prank those animals," he asked her, scared. "They look dangerous."
"Don't worry," Para calms him down. "Those leatherheads can't reach us from up here. Plus, they're stuck in the water. They can never get us."
"Okay. I trust you. So, what are we gonna do to them?"
The jaguar cub spotted a bunch of guanabanas and sank her jaws on one to use. "We're gonna drop these fruits onto those dumb crocs until we break them."
"Are you sure this is a good idea," Nuka asked her.
"Definitely! Now, let's do this!"
Para drops the spiky fruits onto Kiburi's head as the crocodile grunted from the pain while he shoved one of his goons. "I thought you said these dumbs trees won't drop these stupid fruits on us," he yelled at a dark one.
"Th-They wouldn't boss," he told him. "Th-These trees never dropped them."
"Ever since that freakin 'Makuu kicked us out of the pack, our lives have been nothing but misery," the leader whined as he headed over to another tree.
Para giggled quietly as she snatched another fruit and placed it next to Nuka. "Go on and smack it towards him," she told the lion cub. "Go on. They won't catch us."
He hesitated at first but he smiles as he uses his paws to smack the guanabanas and hits Kiburi's head again. The crocodile growled annoyed as he looked both ways. "What the heck," he yelled. "Can't I relax just for once?!"
The two cubs giggled quietly as the two kept messing with the four crocodiles while confusing them and turning at each other. The cubs kept enjoying this moment until when Nuka took another fruit, he took a bad step and almost fell off the tree branch while dropping the guanabana into the water, catching the crocs' attention. Kiburi looks up at the tree and spotted Para helping her friend while becoming enraged. "HA," the crocodile roared. "I know you! You're that annoying little jaguar two days ago! I should've known that you were doing this! And now you have your very own partner in crime!"
"So," Para shouted, "you deserve it for calling me names and picking on me!"
"I told ya that because you kept trespassing on my turf! And now you and your lion friend just crossed the line to messin with me and my pack!"
"Well, from what I heard you messed with the king of the Prideland then got you and your crocs kicked to the curb. You jerk definitely deserve to be treated like worms."
"You're just begging to be torn apart, little cub! I guess I need to teach ya what happens if you open that mouth of yours and for your dumb actions!"
"Oh yeah! What you gonna do about it, leatherhead! You and your boys are down there and we're up here!"
The jaguar cub laughs at the crocodiles while the lion cub becomes nervous until Kiburi becomes enraged as he jumps up to bite the branch off, causing both the cubs to fall into the water. Nuka quickly swims to a branch to climb on as Para tries to swim away while the crocodiles head towards them. The little lion was surrounded and tried to fight off the three crocs until he saw their leader getting closer to his friend.
Nuka found an opening as he jumped on the crocodile's head to head until he managed to save his friend by landing on Kiburi's head and covering his eyes with his paws. "Run Para! Run," the lion cub shouted as the jaguar cub escaped. The lion cub jumped off the crocodile leader before his fellow crocs piled on their leader. When the two cubs returned to land, Nuka turned back at the crocs and laughed, "Haha! Now you jerks can't get us now!"
"Nonono," Para cried. "Nuka come on! We have to go!"
"We're on land and you crocs are in the water! You fish can't get us! Haha!"
The four crocodiles crawled out of the water and to the land while the lion cub's laughter died down as he was completely shocked. "Kid," Kiburi yelled, "what idiot told you that we're fishes?!"
"RUN NUKA," Para screams to her friend as the two cubs run away while they're being chased by the crocodiles.
The two cubs try their best to outrun and lose the savage creatures but the crocodiles are catching up to them. Kiburi tried to sink his sharp teeth into Para and her friend but they managed to dodge his attacks. Sadly, the lion and the jaguar reach a dead end as they're now cornered by the crocs. "Ha! Looks like your luck has just run out," the croc leader smirks.
Nuka was scared of being trapped by the dangerous crocodiles until he looked back at Para, she was completely terrified. He can see the terror in her eyes and the complete fright on her face as she shivers in fear. The lion cub took a deep breath and stood in front of her while facing Kiburi and his gang. "Leave her alone, you bullies," he roared at them.
"Oh! "Looks like we got ourselves a true lion here boys! The kid here wants to protect the little troublemaker here! How cute and pathetic!" The croc boss rushes forward to attack Nuka but the lion cub dodges and scratches his face with his claws as Kiburi grunts in pain. "That is the last mistake you'll ever make, kid!"
All four crocodiles charge in to end the two cubs until two adult jaguars jump in to defend them as they roared at the crocs. The male jaguar approached Kiburi and growled at him. "I thought I told you to stay away from our daughter, Kiburi!"
"And I thought I told you to keep ya kid under control. Your little brat there causes trouble for me and my boys. Your kid needs to be punished for-"
"If anyone is going to punish our daughter, it will be us! Not you or your crocs! I suggest you leave this instant, Kiburi! Or should I address this to King Simba?!"
The alpha males stared and growled at each other until the leader crocodile stood down. "Fine. You win, Talib. We backed off. But the next time your kid messes with us again, it's her funeral. Come on boys! We're done here!" Kiburi and his crew left the area.
The two adult jaguars turned toward their daughter with disappointment in their eyes. "Parafujo," the female jaguar called her name. "What were you thinking about messing with Kiburi and his pack? They would've killed you if we hadn't interfered."
"I… I'm sorry, mom," Para apologized as she lowered her head saddened.
"That was very reckless of you," her father told his daughter. "What's worse is you endangered your friend as well. That's very irresponsible."
Nuka realized how sad his best friend was as he took a deep breath and stood up for her. "Actually, it was my idea to mess with those crocodiles," he told her parents. "I… I was enjoying these pranks we did on some horrible animals and they deserve it. Once she told me what the crocodiles did to her, she tried to talk me out of it but I just wanna prank them so badly. I… I'm so sorry for endangering your daughter's life. I really am sorry."
The two adult jaguars looked at each other and the male told the lion cub, "Well, the young lion, you should be ashamed of yourself for endangering my daughter and forcing her to do those acts. I would appreciate it if you leave my daughter alone from now on."
"Wait dad," Para protested. "Please! I like hanging out with him. In fact, he saved my life once or twice already from Kiburi. He even stood up for me. I would've pranked that jerk eventually and I wouldn't be here without Nuka. He's actually sweet and kind to me. He's the nicest lion I've ever met. Please."
Talib looked at both his daughter and the lion cub until his wife, Serafine, smiled and nodded to him. He sighed and told her, "Fine. You two can continue having fun together. Plus, I'm sure this little lion will look after you whenever I and your mother aren't around. Would you be so kind as to watch over my daughter for me, young lion?" Nuka smiles and nods while Para rolls her eyes annoyed. "Alright. Thank you for protecting my daughter, young Nuka. You've shown great respect not only to your family but to mine as well."
The male jaguar bowed in front of the cub as Nuka did the same to him. The group of jaguars was about to leave until Para stopped her parents and asked them, "Is… Is it alright if I escort Nuka back home?"
"Of course, honey," her mother smiles. "You keep your friend safe and take him home." Para gets by Nuka's side and heads to Pride rock as the two cubs smile at each other.
When the two cubs finally arrived, Nuka became nervous to find Kiara and her parents right outside of the cave. The lion cub became scared when he saw them and he nervously backed away until Para noticed his reaction. "What's wrong, Nuka," she asked him.
"It-It's King Simba," he said nervously. "He… He didn't know I was out of the cave."
"What? It sounds like you were grounded," she laughs. He remains silent as she just realized the truth. "Whoa! And here I thought I was the troublemaker around here. But defying the king himself, even I wouldn't do that."
"You're not helping…"
"Well, how about we get this over with already? There's no escaping it."
"Yeah… Yeah, you're right…"
The cubs step forward and reveal themselves to the royal lions. "Nuka," Simba called him as he and his family approached them. "Where have you been? We were worried sick."
"I'm so sorry, your majesty," the lion cub apologizes while feeling awful.
"Didn't I tell both you and Kiara that you two were grounded?"
"Yes, your highness…"
"I'm deeply disappointed in you, young lion. You should've known better." The lion king looked down at the saddened cub until he noticed the jaguar cub right beside him. "And who might you be, young one?"
"My name is Para, your majesty," she bowed her head to the king. "I'm Nuka's best friend. He… He saved my life."
Everyone looked towards the jaguar cub with surprised looks on their faces. "Nuka saved you," Nala asked Para. "Mind explaining how he saved you?"
"Of course, your highness. I… I was messing with these mean crocodiles until I pushed them too far. They knocked me into their ponds and they were about to eat me until Nuka jumped in to save me. He blinded and scratched those jerks so he and I could escape. If he hadn't left that cave, then I wouldn't be here. Nuka… Nuka is my hero."
Simba stood there speechless by Nuka's heroic act of saving the jaguar's life. "Nuka? Be honest. Is this true? Did you save her life," the king asked the lion cub.
"Yes, King Simba," the lion cub nodded. "She was being attacked by those crocodiles and… I just couldn't leave her to be eaten so… I had to do something to save her."
"Nuka, that was very brave of you to save her life," Kiara told him. "But that was very dangerous. You could've gotten hurt."
"I'm so sorry for worrying you, Kiara…"
"Well, Nuka," Simba told him. "Due to your heroic bravery in saving this jaguar's life, you're no longer grounded. We're very proud of you, Nuka."
"Th-Thank you, your majesty! Can… Can Kiara be ungrounded too? If it weren't for her, I would've never left the cave."
The male lion looks back at his daughter with a smirk as Kiara chuckles nervously from her actions. "Sure. She's ungrounded too. You both should be proud of your actions here today."
Nuka smiles at both Kiara and Para about today. "Well, I guess I called it a day," the jaguar told her best friend. "Do you wanna hang out tomorrow, Nuka," she asked the lion cub.
"Sure! Definitely! I would love to very much," he smiles while wagging his tail.
"Alright. I'll see ya tomorrow. Thank you for the wonderful day, pal." Para waved goodbye to her best friend as she ran back to her family, leaving the pride rock.
The lion king leaned towards the lion cub and told him, "You know, Nuka. The Lion Guards told me that there have been two troublemakers pranking animals around Prideland. You don't happen to know anything about that would you?"
"Oh! Oh uh… Oh, look at the sun! It's about to be bedtime! Time to go to sleep," Nuka laughs nervously as he rushes to the cave to escape from the conversation while Kiara does the same.
Simba shakes his head at Nuka's childish actions. "I'm going to have to talk to him about it, don't I," he asked his wife.
"Well, your father told you about it," Nala told him. "Remember you were like him when you were a cub. You always loved causing trouble and messing with others. And so did Kion too. But this is Nuka we're talking about. You know that he would never do this to anyone. He's too sweet and innocent for it."
"I'm still going to give him the talk about it."
"Of course. I also like his new friend. It's about time he has a friend around his age. She's perfect for him." The two lions looked at each other as they smiled and started nuzzling. They finally joined their family for a good night's sleep.
