Cassie really appreciated Gaia.

She looked up to her since she met her sister's best friend. She loved how confident, strong and individualistic Gaia was. Those characteristics are not ones Cassie would describe herself as. But what Cassie was really envious of was how respected she was.

Gaia was lusted after, but boys were attracted to her, not just her body, unlike Cassie. Cassie felt like she never got that type of attention from boys, which made her feel insecure. Like in her relationship with Mckay. She wanted the respect that Mckay gave Gaia but didn't seem to have for her.

Gaia always liked Cassie but also felt bad for her. Obviously, her dad leaving left her easy prey for use. She wished Cassie loved herself enough to not accept any time of love.

Gaia was helping Fez at the store. Fez was in the back room, checking inventory, while Gaia was in the register.

They have been slightly butting heads since Daniel's Halloween party. Gaia denied being drugged at the party and pretended she drank too much alcohol. This obviously confused and pissed Fez. He didn't understand why she was trying to sweep it underneath the rug.

She was stocking up the alcohol section when she heard footsteps enter the store. Her headphones were in, so Gaia didnt hear the person roaming around the store. By the time she was aware of their presence, it was too late.

Gaia felt a tap on her shoulder, making her jump slightly. She immediately took off her headphones. When she turned around to apologize, Gaia saw a face she thought she would never see again.

There stood Harvey Johnson, standing behind her. The guy who had broken up her and Nate. The one who helped Nate blackmail her. The guy who had taken advantage of her twice. There he was, standing next to her like it was nothing. Harvey looked down at her with a sickening grin.

" Oh, GG! I didn't know you would be here," Harvey greeted. He had an insincere tone, but just enough to let Gaia know he was lying.

Gaia stood there speechless. Here stood the guy that brought so much pain in her life, smiling in her face like a Cheshire cat. The Williams girl felt the bile in her stomach rise in her throat. She realized how close he was to her and quickly backed away.

" Well, I would be lying if I didnt say it was nice to see your pretty face again," Harvey leaned against the doors of the refrigerator. His eyes looked up and down Gaia's figure, sending an uncomfortable feeling behind her spine.

" How was your Halloween ?" He asked as he opened up the refrigerator to get some beers

Gaia stayed silent, giving him the evil eye.

" Mine was great! I went to a couple of parties. I almost left with this chick, but it didn't go to plan. "Harvey hummed in disappointment.

The girl still didn't respond.

"Got a huge hangover, though. Woke up feeling like shit. Bet you can relate." Harvey added.

His last sentence stuck with her. She woke up hungover, but why was he hinting at that? How would he know that? It could be a general statement, but something told her it wasn't a coincidence.

Gaia scrunched her face up in annoyance. Why the fuck is he telling her about his Halloween? The Williams girl couldn't put her finger on it, but she knew he wasn't just making painful small talk.

" I saw your outfits on Instagram. Loved that Princess Kida costume. Oh, and the Catwoman one looked amazing. Especially with the whip. I wish I could see them in person" Harvey's piercing eyes bore into Gaia's like a reptilian.

She was about to roll her eyes at the remark until a specific part piqued her interest about that picture.

" How did you know about the whip?" Gaia asked.

Harvey tilted slightly and replied, " What do you mean?"

" I mean, why did you talk about a whip when I didn't have one in the picture?" Gaia questioned.

When Gaia took that photo, she begged Ash to take pictures of her and Fez together in their outfits. She wanted him to retake the pictures because she didn't have her whip. Still, he refused, complaining about disrupting him in the middle of GTA 5. So how would Harvey know about the whip?

Gaia took a slight step backward and asked," did you see me in person?"

as if the universe was watching, Fez came out from the back. The door opening made Gaia jump back a bit. Fez's eyes went straight to Gaia and Harvey.

Fez walks over to the cash register and sits down. He studied Gaia's body language and saw how defensive her body language was towards Harvey. This made him go into protection mode.

" Yo wassup man. You need any help?" Fez said calmly. Fez remembered Harvey from some special drug deals he did with him.

" Nah, man. Just picking up some beer," Harvey grinned. He went over to the counter and put the beer down. Gaia speed-walked to the back of the store to get away from her tormentor. Fez ranged him up as the two boys had an intense staring contest. The two boys were battling to see who could win dominance. Finally, Harvey breaks eye contact to get his wallet out of his pocket. As Fez's face stays stoic, Harvey hands Fez the money with a smirk.

The transaction is complete, and Harvey grabs his beer and looks at Fezco " Thank you, man. I'll see you at the usual time." He gives fezco a wink and walks confidently out of the store.

Fez watches him until he leaves the store. He quickly left the cash register to confront Gaia about everything.

When he opened the door, Gaia was sitting down, slightly slumped. Fez shut the door and went over to stand in front, looking down at her eyes. He could tell she had taken more Vicodin pills from her dilated eyes.

" You gonna tell me what that was about?" He questioned.

" It was just some guy that I knew in high school," Gaia said dismissively as she waved her hand.

" Come on, GG. I'm not fucking stupid. That's Harvey Johnson, the dude that you left Nate for." He stated. Fez knew the backstory about Harvey and Gaia, mostly from rumors from school. He sat down on the freezer, keeping eye contact with her.

Well, he thought he knew.

" I didn't leave Nate for him. He actually cheated on me, and I left. " Gaia explained.

" But you hooked up with Harvey before and after Nate," Fez pointed out.

" Yes, we did, but that was it. We don't have a relationship. I don't talk to him," Gaia sighed. She hated even having to converse about Harvey. He makes her skin crawl.

Her mind was still dissecting the conversation they had. Was Harvey hinting at something?

" You telling me the truth?" Fez folded his arms. He didn't think Gaia was cheating or anything. Still, the interaction between the two was definitely more than she was letting on. And he was also sure that Gaia was lying about how she broke her hand.

" Of course I am. What, you think I'm lying?" Gaia stood up and folded her arms, offended.

Technically, Gaia was lying to Fez. She lied about the bad blood between Harvey and her. She lied about what happened with her hand. It was for a good reason, but still.

" I think you've been keeping things from me," Fez said.

" Do I need to tell you everything that happens in my life? What are you, my fucking dad?" Gaia cursed. Gaia sighed in frustration and rubbed her temple. The drug that was making her feel euphoric was turning against her. She was feeling anxious and irritated.

" Nah, but you my girl. We in a fucking relationship. You're supposed to feel like you can talk to me," He cursed back. He knew the drugs made her more irritated than she usually would be, but her response pissed him off.

" There just some shit I don't want to talk about in general, ok? " She exclaimed. With every word she spoke, she got increasingly annoyed and angry.

" But what am I supposed to do if it's obviously affecting you? Just ignore it?" fez threw his hands up in frustration.

" I feel like you hiding shit in your life from me," Fez sighed. Every angle he tried with her and nothing was working. He felt defeated.

" Let's just drop this. Please," Gaia said through a tight lip. Gaia's anger was boiling over, and she really didn't want to blow up on Fez. She wasn't mad at him. She was angry at everything happening to her.

" Nah, we need to talk right now," Fez made a motion with his finger pointing down at the ground.

" I don't want to fucking talk about it!" Gaia yelled. Gaia's angry side had reared its ugly head, and she wasn't going back in.

" We need to do it now," Fez yelled back

" You know what? Im over it. Im leaving" Gaia grabbed her purse and speed-walked angrily to her car. Fez quickly followed her, trying to get her to come back to the store.

Gaia managed to open her car door, slamming it behind her. Fez stood by her car, trying to get her out of the vehicle " Yo, stop running."

" Fez, leave me alone!" She screamed. Fez reluctantly moved from the car, letting her drive away. He scratches his jaw in frustration, wishing the conversation would be better.

Kat and Gaia were at Gaia's house, smoking some weed. Ever since the semester started, she's literally been high 80% of the time. Maybe even more.

" So you let Ethan give you head? Then you fucked Daniel?" Gaia said as she exhaled her puff. She passes the blunt to kat, who takes a puff before answering.

" Yeah," Kat giggled. she was obviously already feeling the effects of the weed and was giggling like crazy.

" Kat, you wildin" Gaia shook her head.

Gaia hoped Kat wasn't using sex to build her confidence. That would lead her down a fucked up road.

" Who was better? Daniel or Ethan?" Gaia motions to her hands as a scale, with Ethan on the one hand and Daniel on the other.

" Ethan," Kat answered.

"Was he good?" Gaia asked. Kat passed the blunt back to Gaia to tap the ashes in her ashtray.

" Very fucking good," Kat admitted. She stared at the ceiling as if she remembered the memory.

" I see that look. Don't get squirt on my bed," Gaia joked, making them both laugh, on the brink of tears.

" Fuck you GG! I can say the same about you and Fezco," Kat poked Gaia's side in jest.

Gaia's mood saddens at the mention of her boyfriend's name. He had called and texted her a bit, wanting to talk, but Gaia ignored him. Gaia felt sad about how she has been leaving him in the dark about a lot of things. She wanted to tell him, but Gaia wanted one close relationship where her past wasn't affecting it.

" Trouble in paradise?" Kat spoke, breaking Gaia away from her thoughts.

" We're just having communication problems." Gaia turned on her side to look at her friend.

" What's happened?" Kat looked at her friend's face. Gaia's and Fez's relationship was the only relationship around her she didn't see crashing and burning. So hearing about this made her believe in her jaded view of the world and relationships more.

" To be honest, I need to have a conversation that I've been running away from. " Gaia confessed.

" Oh, so you're the asshole! Poor Fez," Kat chuckled.

Gaia rolled her eyes." Shut up, Kat. "

There was a comfortable silence between them until Kat spoke," Seriously though, don't let preventable shit fuck up your relationship. "

K9at words hit Gaia as truth. Gaia didn't answer verbally. She just nodded her head in agreement.

The two finished the blunt and turned on Parks and Recs to laugh at while they were high.

Out of nowhere, Gaia sat up when a memory popped up" Wait? Didn't I punch Daniel in the face for you back in the day?"

Kat sat up, and the two made eye contact. After a few seconds of silence, the duo burst into laughter at the revelation.
