Page XI: Other Riders?
"Are you ready Mr. Porter?"
In a strange place, Gus seems to be sitting on a chair while his arms are crossed. facing him it happens to be Lilith whose arms are crossed in the back. It's a big day for Hexside, today is challenging another school up in the mountains until he is called in by Lilith to ask some questions about the magic he has.
"First question...why am I on camera?" Gus asked seeing a recorder eyeball look at him.
"For little results, care to tell me about the lightning..." Lilith answered looking at the boy who look away. "I can be sure you won't be harmed after this, and be on time for the Hexside ride."
"Look Ms. Clawthorne, I will be honest..." Gus said looking down, with sadness. "I don't know anything about these powers, it's just happened...saving a friend who almost dies, I don't know what to think...I just wanna stop it."
"I see, your father is Perry Porter...News Reporter of Bolin Isles News, such a good student in my time in Hexside like you but with glasses," Lilith said with a smile, then go back to the topic. "I wondering about your mother, what she does for a living..."
Gus only did was shunned his head, he remains silent, and Lilith sees this and is curious about it.
"Augustus..." Lilith said leaning forward. "What did your mother do?"
"My mom...gone," Gus said taking a deep breath. "My mom passes away when she was on the job."
Lilith look surprised, she was deeply hurt by of one her friends who had gone, sees Gus getting into tears, and she knees down and hugged the boy.
"I'm...I'm...sorry I pressure you," Lilith whispered feeling guilty for pressuring the boy.
"It's okay, a great illusion of saving lives, proud of being an illusion of a great illusion master," Gus said with a weak smile.
Lilith looks at him. "Well, I'm sure your magic is unique...this ends our conversation, I hope you enjoy your day."
Gus gets up. "Thank you..." He leaves the room.
Lilith looks at the eyeball and shut it down. "Shut down for now."
Gus walks down the steps and sees the bus is gone, only Willow and Luz there. "I miss the bus, why do you guys stay?"
"We couldn't leave you here," Willow said with a smile.
"I wanna see the game together," Luz states placing a hand on Gus's shoulder.
"I was just meet you girls there, I can fly there," Gus said pulling out his disc.
"Why not fly us there? You skill pilot!" Luz shouts
"I don't know, I carried one of the time," Gus said scratching his head.
"Please Gus, look at this face," Willow responds by rubbing Luz's face who has a sad face.
Gus pinches his head. "Why do you girls do those faces all the time?' He looks at them. "Fine! Just hop on." He opens his disc
"Yay/Yes!" Both shout with a smile.
"Goes to your left!"
"No right,"
"Straight!"
Flying through the air, passing the mountains is Gus with Luz and Willow...the boy in front while the girls at the back tell him what to do.
"Girls, I swear...I can not focus when you keep talking, WHOA!" Gus shouts and falls a little.
"Sorry, just a bit excited...this place windy..." Luz said looking around sees windy lines.
"The mountain is type focus on flying, trainers...you should come here more often Gus," Willow replied
"I'm already a pro at this," Gus said seeing a shadow figure in a flash. "Did you see that?"
Unaware of them they were being watched by five figures in the mountain.
"Who's they?" Spoke a feminine yet sass tone
"Don't know but the board is cool!" Another sounds like a surfer.
"Well, it's leaving blue electronic." Spoke in genius
"Let's have some fun with them like-" said a confident
"Hold up guys...I just flew up close and not bad...just go to the game like Hexside." Said in a feminine and mature tone.
"Heh, I wanna see what he made of!"
"No, wait...dame it Fields!"
Traveling down the open field, finally, the winds come down for now. But suddenly a fast blur came down the right side of the trios only felt a huge impact of wind making the disc goes unbalanced and...make them fall.
"AHHHH!" All of them fell to the ground.
Gus is about to do something but sees a potion glass hit below them creating a large slimy orange sludge. All of them fall on it, feeling soft as a pillow, and they come out of the sludge.
"That...was..." Luz said trying to get the good out of her clothes.
Willow cleaned her glasses. "Who did that?"
Gus looks up. "I think them."
Stepping over a log happens to be a sixteen-year-old girl with long brown hair, pointy ears, blue eyes, and light skin. She wore clothes that fit her curvy build. She wears a blue ripped dress that stops to her thighs, chest window, brown stockings, and black boots with a blue ring around her right hand. Round her waist is a brown belt with loads of colorful potions.
"Are you three alright?" she asks them.
"Yeah, something hit us but was it you who threw that pillow potion?" Gus asks her.
"Yeah, I had to save you after 'someone' tried to get you down." she grits her teeth at her friend behind her, "My name's Sarah Atos by the way."
"Names Luz Noceda, this is Willow Park, and our driver Gus Porter." Luz introduce themself while others waved.
"This is stupid!"
They turn to a guy who is a bestial humanoid, having brownish fur, green beast eyes, and brown hair with green highlights. Wearing a brown and black tunic, black pants, and open toes boots. Holding Gus's disc in the air, it feels like plastic. "This thing doesn't work, like plastic paper."
"That's because," Gus said using his hand, using his electricity to grab his disc from him. "Its only works on me."
"Oh..." the bestial humanoid said, followed by laughter from another witch.
"Oh dude, he's got you there." spoke the punkish-looking teenage boy with a teeth-like mohawk on his head, gray skin with gray eyes, chip tooth, wears a black jacket with a skeleton shirt, blue baggy pants, and blue boots.
"These are Fields Beastfangs and David Sterndrive." Sarah introduced, "Fields the one that made your disc haywire which he shouldn't." she said while glaring at Fields.
"Hey, I was just curious as to what that was." Fields said with his hand up.
"You could've gotten these guys killed, Fields!" Sarah scolds him.
"Hey least they're alive." Fields said shrugging his head, getting hit in the head. "Ow!"
"If Sarah wasn't there, they will be dead you idiot!" Spoke to a girl with red hair stopping at her neck, blue eyes, and white skin. Wearing a blue cloak stopped to her stomach, a red long bra, a black skirt, and long brown boots. Her physical appearance is muscular showing her abs, toned legs, and large bosoms.
Willow gasped at seeing her. 'Jeepers, that I wanna be when getting older...maybe she can give me pointers.'
Coming down with a strange fly creature, she had dark bob-cut hair, brown eyes with square glasses, and tan skin. Wearing a brown and yellow cloak, underneath a brown dress, black stockings, and brown boots. "She's right, your actions likely be their end."
"Alright, just drop it!" Field said in annoyance.
Sarah introduced the rest. "The one glass is Iris Willseeker, and the muscle is Roxy Armstrong. Together we are the Sky Raids."
"Sky Raids?" Luz asked tit her head.
Field smirks. "We are a group that does actions all the time, such as Treasure Hunters."
Gus only glared. "So you push us off, just tried to get my disc 'cause you think it worth something?"
"It looks cool, not worthy for you." Fields said
Luz stops Gus from doing something. "Hey, how about we forget about it and we do something like... an adventure, you say you guys like those."
"Well yes, we are, we thought of heading to the woods and grabbing a treasure surrounded by a gate," Sarah said
"Wait, they up to the challenge? We take those who are ready." Iris said
"We are ready..." Luz replied pulling out a card from her armband, tap it makes light. "I can make the glyph."
Willow created a flower while making a cute smile. "Plant magic."
Gus makes an illusion of himself and creates an electricity orb, he and the other speakers. "I can do illusion and electricity."
Sarah smiles. "Alright, you guys can come...if we find what we looking for...you guys be us, a Sky Raider."
The group soon heads out as Fields is jumping from tree to tree, David traveling through the shadow he's riding on, and the rest are on the large dragonfly creature led by Iris, with Sarah, Gus, Willow, and Luz behind. Roxy is running at high speed at their pace.
"So what tracks are you guys from?" Luz asks them.
"I'm from Potions, Iris and Fields are from Beast-Keeping," Sarah explained. "Roxy's from Construction, and David is in Illusions."
"Whoa, like me?" Gus asked.
"Yeah man, you can control everything even including..." David said patting his shadow which has green eyes. "Your own shadow."
"Whoa...who knew we can do that," Gus said looking at the shadow.
"Heh, I bet you can't even go faster than all of us." Field replied who was in the lead.
Gus little offended. "It's that challenge?"
Field smirks. "Yes, whoever goes to the main spot first... gets half of the treasure!"
Gus simply jumped off the dragonfly and gets on his disc. "Fine, let's see who is the fastest."
Gus takes the lead, Field makes a large orange circle as passes change his hands and feet into long claws, and has a long tail looking like a cheetah demon.
David smirks as making shadow wings. "Oh, it's on..."
Roxy simply goes faster. "No one beat me."
Sarah sighs pulls out her white moth staff and sits on it. "Fine, I just doing this out of fun."
All of them, began going faster than ever, all of them only leaving a trail of dust behind them.
In the open space of the forest, Roxy came in first as Gus came second, and Field in third.
"Told you boys, no beats an Armstrong," Roxy said flexing her muscle.
"I was riding...until certain someone uses a branch hit my face," Gus said taking some leaves off his hair.
"No rules come in Sky Raids Challenge." Field replied changing back and seeing others come in. "Sarah...David, then Iris."
Once they make it, Luz comments "Dang, we got beat."
"But it is a fun race," Willow replied looking to the bright side.
"So Roxy and Gus would have most of the treasure, while the rest gets whatever we have each." Sarah states.
"Yeah/good plan/whatever." They said in agreement
"Looks like we're here..." Roxy said looking around and seeing trees old and webs. "The Deep Forest."
David looks around. "How to find the treasure?"
"Hm, the treasure should be able around somewhere...maybe we need to split up," Luz said pulling out her glyphs. "I can give you all Light Glyphs if finds something interesting or in danger, just light up to call us."
"Glyphs..." Sarah looks at Luz's paper drawings of the light glyph "I have never seen this kind of magic being done..."
"Yeah, it's something that the old first witches have learned," Luz states, handing out each of them glyphs.
"Handy for dark places and guide your way," Gus said looking at the glyph.
"And be a good light for plants." Willow states go to Roxy. "Roxy, wanna pair up?"
"I was gonna paired with Fields so he won't do something stupid but sure," Roxy answered as both girls smiled.
"How about we do, two cool witches and dragonfly show what we got!" Luz shouts shoulder hugging Iris.
"Sure, let's do this," Iris said with a small smile.
Field about walked one person he wanna go with until David got to him. "Come on, let's find that treasure first!"
"But.." Field said getting dragged to see what happened next.
Gus goes to Sarah. "Guess we're the last pair...ready?"
"Sure, dude, let's go seek it out," Sarah said with a smile, to which Gus smiles back.
Fields narrow at this, as he scoffs "Come on David, let's go find the treasure before they do." he said as he leads.
David shrugs "Alright, just don't do anything stupid."
Loads of vines all over, moving it is Willow while Roxy moves the large rocks. They walked quietly until the plant finally spoke.
"So Roxy, your really powerful lady...how got in the Sky Raids?"
Roxy looked at Sarah. "Sarah and I are childhood friends."
Willow looks surprised. "Really?"
Roxy nodded. "We in class one, she got bullied by jealous kids of her smartness and body, I stop them. She returns the favor and stops a pack of punks from attacking me. Since then we became best friends, even changing tracks."
Willow smiles. "I am so glad, friends got each back."
"Thanks, let's find the treasure before them," Roxy said smashing a rock into pieces.
A place that flies all over the hives, until goes all of them are inside their hives when Iris holding a green crystal up in the air while Luz is next to her.
"Wow, you sure know about every animal?" Luz comment
"My old village teaches me a way to be with each beast with living in. I wanna become a great keeper, unlike Field who keeps acting like a kid." Iris said in annoyance.
"How do you know him anyway?" Luz asked
"Sarah...save him from going towards some camp to straighten him up, since then he hanging with us...we tried to least help him control his habit but only do something so dangerous and childish." Iris answered and looked up to see something ahead.
"Heh, I thought I was being childish sometimes," Luz said look what Iris's seeing.
In the forest, with stone pillars all over, David looks around the top of a pillar while Field who is a bloodhound sniffs the ground.
"This treasure is hard to find," David said raising his hand. "Shadow...search the place!"
David's shadow split and spread around the area, while Fields finds nothing.
"I'm starting to think there aren't any treasures around." Field states, though unknown to him they're being watched.
Sarah and Gus walk through the forest, and Sarah spots something that peaked her interest.
"Hey, check this out." Sarah brings Gus to look at the footprints around.
"What kind of footprints are those?" Gus asked.
"Don't know, never seen a creature with those before." Sarah noticed the pattern on the footprints on the ground, almost as it if looked familiar.
"Let me help, want to use the glyph for an emergency," Gus said creating a blue static orb that shines in the forest.
They begin to follow the footprints while Sarah sees a broken tree blocking their way. Sarah grabbed something from her brown belt, loads of potions on it, a blue and yellow potion into a green. She throws the potion at the tree as it's destroyed.
"Acid Potion," Gus said in impressed.
"Yup, all potions in the belt...mix them into new," Sarah replied walking through the tree.
"You good, someone must teach you." Gus states catch up.
"Yes, my father, Scab Atos." Sarah comments "He taught me everything I know about the wonders of alchemy in the potions coven. It's why I'm in the potions track." But then she trips over a log, causing her to fall "Kyah!"
"Are you okay?" Gus asks, rushing over to help her.
"Yeah, I think I landed on something." Sarah said as a white moth moves out from under Sarah, its wing cracked "Oh no, I'm so sorry Atlas" she apologized, but then she heard a swinging sound as she got up "Do you hear that?"
"A-AH!"
Sarah felt the blue blur grabbing her by the waist, swinging from the web as she is held over the shoulder by a blue spider monkey with four eyes. It screeches as he held Sarah as she kicks up and down.
"Sarah!" Gus shouts in worry.
"Let me go of me!" Sarah shouts hitting the back. "Help!"
The spider monkey swings away, and the white moth whimpers saddened by its master being taken away.
Gus grabbed the moth. "Don't worry, save her." Grabbed his disc. "Hold on to my shoulder,-" he accidentally zaps a white moth on the damaged crack. "I'm so so- huh..., let's...save Sarah."
Gus begins to fly, following the spider monkey while taking a beak on a white moth crack, and sees it's a bit fixed. 'Hmmm...'
Gus ran with Atlas on his shoulder, he made it to the spider monkey is; a place for full-on webs and glowing eyes in the shadows. "What the heck are we? Sarah?! Where are you?"
"Up here...literally hanging!"
Gus looks up and saw a spider web where Sarah is hanging with the webs wrapped around her arms and waist, as she kicks around from danging over a tree. "Gus, go find the others and get them out! I think I know what this place is!"
"I can't without you!" Gus told her as he levitate up to save her. But then he dodges a web ball aiming at him "What the-!?"
"Stand down!"
Gus sees the familiar lady he knows, heck whole Bolin Isles knows...the Bat Queen, in her treasure throne with her three children in her hair.
"M-Mrs. Bat Queen, so nice that-" Gus said little nervous.
"Yes, you all trespassing my forest." Bat Queen said raising her wing towards Sarah hanging in the trees. "She's guilty."
"For what?" Gus asked
Bat Queen points her wing at the white moth. "For what she did to that precious being."
Gus holds the white moth, he looks up. "Ma'am, it was an accident...she didn't mean to..."
"That's what all say...and look what I have..." Bat Queen said raising her wings making the fire rising showing inside the forest.
Palismans, whole loads of animalistic creatures in the trees either cracked, broken or lost a part of them.
"These poor Palismans were broken, cracked, and lost due to their masters...what they do, is simply abandon them like there is nothing to them." Bat Queen said with a glare, as spoke in seriousness. "So I became a guardian of this forest and the Palismans, you go or you join them."
"Them?" Gus looks up and sees two more spider monkeys coming with the others. "Guys!"
David was webbed to his hands and feet, can't move around, not even calling to his shadow. Field is the one who webs up the most like a cacoon, he mostly tries to claw his way out like an animal.
Willow and Roxy tying up on their wrists and ankles, not able to move due to the monkey carrying them on its shoulders. Luz and Iris only ones in a web-like sack carried, due to one being human and one only a Beast Keeper.
"I will make sure they never see a day again." Bat Queen as they get scared.
"I'm sorry we trespass, ma'am, it's any way I can do to let us leave?" Gus asked
"Only way fix that wing, but it's impossible to fix a Palisaman." Bat Queen answered
Gus looks down, he remembers what happened...maybe he can do it. "Maybe I can do that."
Everyone looks at Gus who gently holding the white moth in his hands, he slowly places his left hand on its cracked. The boy slowly breathes and suddenly...Lightning, a color of full dark blue...slowly puts small sparks on the wing and begins coming back together. After a few minutes, Gus releases the white moth and begins to fly away toward Sarah who is really happy.
"Oh Atlas, I really glad you're alright...I'm so sorry I did, can you forgive me?" Sarah asked Atlas rubbing her cheek in forgiveness.
"Whoa, this kid's got a knack for healing." David comments.
"Whoa, didn't know you could do that, Gus!" Luz said in surprise.
"I never know a person can fix a Palisman before," Iris said fixing her glasses.
"Fully fix, no signs of damage at all." Roxy was awed by what happened.
Willow is really happy. "Wow Gus, that's amazing!"
Field surprised. "No way, that's some dumb luck...no way someone can fix a Talisman."
"Incredible..." Bat Queen said look at Gus, look at the monkeys. "Let them go..." The monkeys place the gang down near Gus. "Includes the girl named Sarah."
Monkey grumbled as placing Sarah down and joins his brothers. Luz is on the ground, she is about to get up but she sees something on Bat Queen's left foot.
Sarah is lowered as Gus helps her down, taking the webbing off of her "Are you okay?" he asked.
"I'll be fine," Sarah replied with Atlas on her shoulder.
Luz shouts making them surprised. "That...a craft hole, your a Palisaman!"
Bat Queen sighs. "Yes, I once have a master...a giant until he abandons me one day then, I vow to protect the others from dangerous enemies. But after seeing Arts of Healings, shows might have hope of these Palisamans getting repaired and finding new masters. Here for what you did."
Bat Queen push them, to a wooden chest Sarah opens seeing loads of golden coins, jewels, and a few diamonds in it.
Everyone is shocked by the loot, Fields only one smirk turning his left hand into a large beast-like gorilla. Grabbing the chest as lifted in the air.
"Yeah, thanks for the cash...we are on our way." Fields said walking away.
The other simply walked out, Gus look at broken Palisamans, and he spoke. "Ms. Bat Queen...when I am in the forest, you find your Palisamans missings parts...I can fix them for the time being."
Bat Queen smiles. "I agree with your terms...have a nice day."
The gang comes out of the field, simply walking to the field, Gus is busy looking at his hands at what happened.
'I can heal, I need to know who can teach me how...' Gus said feeling his head get something, he lookup. "Atlas?"
"She likes you when healing her."
Gus looks to his right and sees Sarah with a smile. "Oh, Sarah,"
"I wanna say thanks for helping us and heal Atlas, never a kid have great power inside," Sarah said
"Thanks, but still need to learn and train my power on lightning and illusion, who knew to have cool skills like Shadow," Gus said seeing David and Shadow talk.
"David is happy to teach you that skill and seems, Willow, interested in being Roxy's training partner," Sarah said
"Sure Luz wanna know more about the realm we lived in now, thanks for the adventure," Gus said
Gus felt a pat on the back, and Sarah spoke. "We thank you three, a good time and a great treasure."
Everyone made it to the same field they know, the Sky Raids looking at each other.
"Looks like we here...Sarah, are we ready?" Iris asked
"Oh yeah, Roxy?" Sarah asked looking at her best friend.
"Yup, here your half for you girls, and a big one for the boy," Roxy said as throws three bags.
The girls catch theirs while Gus simply grabbed his with his electricity, Sarah stands in front of them.
"Luz Noceda, this is Willow Park and Gus Porter...you show us what you can do with your own style of magic...so you three now official Sky Raids, ever wanna hang with us...just stop by here," Sarah said
"Thanks, getting late...come on girls...let's go home," Gus said as pull out his disc.
The Sky Raids see the trio flying away with the disc, all of them happy to have more members. Until Fields goes to Sarah with a suspicious look on his face.
"So you seem to be talking to Porter boy lately." Fields said
"And your point is?" Sarah asked looking at him.
"It is he... a little bit, young..." Fields answered
"Field, for many times...I am not mood for dating, we trying to make name for ourselves. We always remember being kids of our parents, it's time we shine in our way...freedom is our life." Sarah said
"Yeah!" The others shout in agreement
Luz made it back home, she sees no one there. "Hey, Eda, I'm back, and a huge surprise!"
Luz look for Eda until she found Eda pacing back forward in the room with a worried look, she hides listen to her.
"This is bad, the exile is not working enough...gotta think of an idea," Eda said then spit out a swing piece. "When I eat a swing?"
Luz was shocked to hear, that the potion is not working on Eda, the Owl Beast is coming maybe a way to help her. Then find a solution that might be answered. 'Gus's Enchiridion, it helps me and Amity become friends now it's time, maybe help me again!"

Sarah Atos: My famous scientist girl in Demon Realm, I see her in Potion Track, doing Alchemy mixing. Her hairstyle is like Zarina from Tinkerbell Pirate Fairy, and her Potion Mixing is like Varian from Tangled. Voice by Emma Watson.
Roxy Armstrong: She strongest and most protective one in the group, in right place in Construction Track. Her body feature is like She-Hulk when going full power. Voice by Tara Strong.
Fields Beastfangs: A Wild Child in the group, he may be a bit drastic one but sure knows, he knows every creature in the Isles. Voice by Greg Cipes.
David SternDrive: A great Illusion who knows everything on the road, especially controls the living shadow of his, he looks like a punk, but is truly a trusted one of the gang. Voiced by William Baldwin.
Iris WillSeeker: The serious one, always take things right especially under control due to a certain one who doing very idiotic with nature, she trusted Dragonfly since raising it. Voiced by Eileen Stevens.
