The winds blow with a calm serenity over Mount Paozu as the day is waning into the evening. And on the porch of her house sits Pan. The old woman sits in her chair with a cup of warm tea after she had went through a long day of washing laundry and tending to her crops. She had spent a long time working to get weeds out of the squash, which was her least favorite place to be because the leaves made her itch. As she sips on her tea, she felt a presence in the air which was someone see hasn't seen for a while. The old lady then turns to look at where the presence and there, she sees Goku Jr hovering near the porch, a smile forming on his face.

"Hey Grandma!" He says in an enthusiastic way. Pan smiles as Goku Jr descends from the sky and he lands onto the ground. He then runs to her place where she sits by the door, and Pan stands up to hug him.

"I have missed you so much!" she says as she hugs him.

"I have missed your cookies so much! And you too." says Goku Jr through the tight hug.

"I have something I'd like to give you, Goku..." She says. Pan then walks inside, with Goku Jr following her as well. As he walks inside, he can smell something sweet baking.

"I thought you might be by today, or at least, I hoped so." She says. She walks to the table where she and Goku Jr had shared so many meals at. On it lays an outfit that he has never seen before. As he sat down, Pan scoops up the outfit and she hands it to the boy.

"I want you to have this, Goku." She says, handing him the outfit.

"It's the old outfit that my own grandpa used to wear, I was waiting for the moment that I would give it to you. Although I needed to fix it up a little." she says with a smile. He looks down at the gi for a second, and then he hugs Pan again.

"Thank you so much!" He says. He then stands up from the table.

"I wish we could talk more grandma, but I got something important to deal with. Me and Vegeta sensed an extremely strong power come down. I'm sure that it's Kuriza, and the both of us are going to try to deal with him.' Goku Jr explains.

"I'll see you later, grandma!" Goku Jr then says. He then walks out the door and hovers up off the porch. He then flies off the porch and into the sky, dashing off into the distance

The sun gleams brightly over Kame House as the day slowly turned into the evening. Beat and Note are sitting on the floor while Vegeta Jr leans against the wall. Roshi stands in front of the group as they are waiting to hear where he is going with his seemingly rambling instructions. Then, Goku Jr walks into Kame House, holding the gi Pan had gave him. Upon seeing him, Roshi starts to speak up again.

"So, I've heard that Kuriza has made his base on the other side of the planet in a remote area. That's perfect for the way each of you fight, and that should limit any collateral damage, but you may still need to work as a team to defeat him! I have faith the four of you that you can do it. We've trained for over two months for the very moment where an opening presented itself, so when morning comes around, you all will go defeat him. I won't interfere as this your fight, not mine." He explains to the squad. Goku Jr nods. He doesn't know if it would take all four of them to fight Kuriza or if they had surpassed him. He also doesn't know if he had any other forms the four didn't know about, as a while back, Beat told him that one of his soldiers, a man named Ranbutan had a form which increased his strength to unbelievable extents. But, he still has an idea in his mind, though he would need to think about it more.

"Goku, it took you long enough to get back." Vegeta Jr says, walking up to Goku Jr.

"How'd your visit with Ms. Pan go?" Note asks.

"It was rather short, but I enjoyed it. She even gave an old outfit her grandpa wore!" He says. The saiyan then lays down the old gi that Pan had fixed and given to him onto the ground.

"So, she had an outfit from your great, great grandpa lying around? Dang, your family must go deep." Beat responds.

"Wait, Goku… your great, great grandfather… I think we might need to talk about that." Vegeta Jr then says.

"What is it, Vegeta?" Goku Jr asks.

"Did Pan ever tell you any stories about your great, great grandfather?"

"She had told me a few stories about him."

"Do any of them strike you as similar to the one I told at Dende's Lookout?" Vegeta Jr questions.

"Well there was one she said she was told as a child by her own father when she was young about how her grandpa fought some otherworldly threat. And due to how dire the circumstances were, he awakened a legendary power which allowed him to stop that threat." Goku Jr answers.

"So, it was just as I expected. You seem to be one of Kakarotto's distant descendants." The saiyan then concludes.

"Wait, I'm out of the loop on this Kakarot guy, what makes him his relation to Goku so special?" Beat asks.

"From the stories I've been told, Kakarotto defeated Kuriza's granddad, a galactic tyrant named Frieza and became the legendary Super Saiyan as a result of how dire the fight was. And from what I have heard, Goku and Pan could be his descendants, which means that it is possible that the power of a Super Saiyan could possibly be accessed by Goku." Vegeta Jr explains.

"But I'm not going to try to force the Super Saiyan out of Goku per say as doing that in a fight like the one we are about to have is rather dangerous." He then adds.

"Besides, we should get some sleep." Vegeta Jr says.

"Yeah, I agree with Vegeta on that one." Beat says.

"Why do we need to sleep so earlier, there's still sunshine outside!" Note asks.

"The battle with Kuriza won't be an easy one. To be completely honest, it will likely be the hardest battle you all have ever encountered up to this point. And being tired before the fight of your lives even begins is very risky. So, go, get some sleep before the fight begins it will be needed." Roshi says.

"Will do, Mr. Roshi.' Goku Jr responds. The four kids then make their ways to their rooms as Roshi stands near the entrance.

"So, the boy has learned of his heritage. I don't know if this should consider this a premonition or a coincidence. Ever since the battle with the evil dragons nearly a century ago, a Super Saiyan hasn't appeared. But will Goku Jr change that? That is for time to tell. All I need to do right now is steer him in the right direction." Roshi thinks to him.

As light blue skies turn black and the sun switches spots with the moon, Kuriza looks down on the base he had his men construct on the earths surface from a nearby clifftop.

"It truly does look like the construction on this base is complete. My father's men did a truly splendid job on the base. He should be calling in at any time now for a progress report on the construction." The young tyrant says with glee. He had overseen the construction of this base himself, and now, he is prepared to hopefully find his ultimate foe. Then, a beep comes from his scouter.

"Oh, that must be him." He says, clicking his scouter.

"Greetings, my son. I must assume that the base on Earth is completed and the soldiers are gathered for your orders for the next scouting missions on the planet?" A deep yet elegant sounding voice asks. The voice belongs to none other than to Kuriza's father, the fearsome Lord Iced.

"Yes father, the construction is finished and the troops are stationed here."

"Oh, that's music to my ears." Iced then says. Iced then clicks off the scouter and Kuriza returns to looking down onto the base.
