A/N Hey guys, so out of boredom, I'm back for like two seconds. I thought I'd add short epilogues to all my previous unfinished stories. The others will pop up soon.

They woke late the following day to a faint knocking on the back door. Jessica flew out of bed and quickly pulled on her pajamas and robe as she ran down the stairs. Then, realizing it was coming from the kitchen door, she hurried in that direction and quickly opened it to see Sheriff Mort Metzger standing at the door.

"Mrs. F. Thank goodness," his exasperated voice let out a breath.

"Mort, what's wrong?" She asked, confused.

"Just had to make sure you were okay. Usually, you're out and about by seven a.m." Jessica got a glimpse of the clock as she stood there. Her eyes widened, seeing that it was ten in the morning. She was sure Seth had a patient by now. "Say, you haven't seen Doc, have you? Haven't seen him either." No sooner had he asked the question, Seth wandered into the kitchen fully dressed. With that, the Sheriff's eyes widened as Seth turned to look at him.

"Doc?" Mort asked, clearly shocked.

"Metzger, would you close your mouth and stand up straight?" Seth bluntly shot at the man in the doorway.

"Um…What…uh…What's going on?" He asked meekly.

"Would you relax?" Seth asked. "Late night out, I crashed here. I do have to get back to the office, though. My first patient is in thirty minutes," Seth hastily said, hoping to distract the Sheriff.

"Oh yes. You'd better get going." Jessica said, still flustered.

"I'll be heading out too. I just wanted to make sure you were alright, Mrs. F."

"Thank you, Sheriff," Jessica said as Mort turned around and headed to his car. Seth stood by Jessica's side as they watched him walk away.

"He can be astute and observant when he wants to, but most of the time, he is very oblivious." Jessica laughed at his comment as he headed out the back door. As Mort stepped into his car, he saw Seth pull Jessica towards him and passionately kiss her. He watched them for about five seconds before pulling away slowly. Mort knew he now had knowledge of something everyday Cabot Cove citizens dream of being able to gossip about. He also knew that out of respect for his friends; he should let them have their privacy and tell on their own terms. Of course, he couldn't help if someone else saw it, but for now, he decided to keep their lover's secret safe for them.
