'For thoughts'

"Ok so… I'm no wizard but I did study it and can use it to some degree." Linzi stated, she managed to find a blackboard in the inn and was using a stool to reach it.

"There are a handful of different magic traditions; Primal, Arcane, Divine, and Psychic. As a bard I practice Arcane magic, and as a summoner typically you follow Arcane magic as well."

Hakuno nodded as she wrote notes, "Some specific people are able to use different traditions with their own twist, such as some Sorcerers are able to show divine magic. But overall many focus on their own tradition, Arcane Magic typically is more showy and destructive then the others."

"Arcane magic typically is learned and rational while things like Divine magic are fueled by powerful beings such as gods."

"Not too sure about Psychic magic… As it's pretty rare and Primal Magic is typically fueled by fey and natural sources of magic… Might find a few places around here, Druids typically can perform it or Divine Magic."

"Anyway, onto Arcane magic. Arcane magic typically requires materials or a catalyst, I'm guessing your ring is yours?" Hakuno guessed that the Regalia counted as a catalyst, it did help her cast her healing and Hack spell.

"I can try and teach you the spells I know, but us Bards can't cast the same spells as Summoners… Not too sure why as a Wizard would be able to explain it better… But a few spells are common enough."

Linzi's hand glowed as she muttered a few words, "Cure Wounds, it's a spell that can heal light wounds."

"Well now… Let's see what you can do?"

"I think that's enough for today." Linzi said, her voice sounded defeated.

Hakuno sighed, this world's 'arcane' magic seemed to be more knowledge based, as a former NPC she had an advantage in learning… But the magic seemed based on the knowledge of this world. She did seem to get a decent hold of how to cast spells based off of scrolls with a purchase from Bokken; she managed to obtain a few that should help in the coming weeks.

Hakuno idly felt the Wand of Snowball that they also managed to purchase. The sale from the bandit's gear and small sum given to them by Jamandi Aldori to use helped in this regard. As well as Oleg giving them temporary free room and board.

Absorb "Wand of Snowball"? Spell will temporarily be unable to be used until fully absorbed.

Hakuno mentally denied the Regalia, she wished to wait for Robin's return in case more bandits came.

She did manage to learn a few what is called '0' level spells; one that made a small light appear called Light , another that can move small objects called Mage Hand, and a third called Read Magic which was the first she figured out.

Kind of weird to her that she had channel magic to read magic. But in this world Magic was more of a language with glyphs and words compared to the limited view she had in the Moon Cell of manipulating Data.

She could feel her connection to the Archer, his Independent Action skill allowing him to go with Amiri who seemed to bristle at being stuck in the inn for more than a day or two of rest.

"Is it going well?"

"Yeah, just got to the cave… Will grab the berries for Bokken as well."

Hakuno idly nodded to herself Bokken seemed happy that the pair went off to what he dubbed 'Fang Cave' for they held his favorite berries.

Hakuno watched as Linzi was chatting up the only other guest in the inn, an elf named Anoriel Eight Eyes from the Pathfinder Community?

Hakuno thought back to the week? Less than a week, she corrected herself, she sighed as she let her mind wander a bit.

'That night… I think it was the first time I came close to something truly powerful. A fey powerful enough to cause a reaction from the Regalia, she didn't seem like a threat, she seemed almost… Hopeful? But something that powerful should easily be able to handle a stray bandit leader. There has to be more. Maybe Amoriel has a more detailed one given to us by Aldori only has a few important places labeled.'

"A map? The Pathfinders have a few routes, marked some notable places, I got a deal for ya… Once you start up your little barony you will let us build a Pathfinder Lodge in your capital. Let us take a few bounties, do a few missions, that sort of thing. And in return I'll make you all honorary Pathfinders and give you what info I can spare. Sounds like a deal?"

Hakuno thought about it for only a second, having connections to what she gathered was a near world-wide organization would be helpful even if she doesn't set up base here. "No guarantee I will decide to stay, but if I do you have my word."

Amoriel took a long look at her, she seemed to be debating to herself, "Yeah good enough, Welcome to the Pathfinder Society." Hakuno was handed a notebook, "The Stolen Lands are pretty wild still but we have a few routes and landmarks." She opened the book as it showed the Thorn Ford marked by a small road over the Thorn River.

"Best place to go over would be here," Amoriel pointed, "If your not in the neighborhood then you should be able to find a path by the Old Sycamore but there are a lot of Kobolds and Mites living around there, while they may be dumb there is a lot of them."

Hakuno nodded, the Fey told her to check it out, and so far it seemed like the best choice. Once Amiri and Robin make it back she will ask everyone's opinion on it.

"Thank you."

"No worries… Just don't die out there." Amoriel waved them both off as she took another sip of her mug. Hakuno nodded in thanks as she began reading the book.

Robin had to stifle back a yawn as they reached the cave, "Gotta collect some berries here… Should be some spiders going by the webbing."

Amiri glanced over to him and grunted. He sighed, his Master sending him on this job was annoying. But he did respect her. She has grown up a lot since he last saw her.

He grumbled as he walked into the cave, lighting a torch on his way.

He could see the webbing becoming thicker, but seemed to stick to the walls, 'Odd… why isn't it covering the entryways?'

Amiri held up her hand as she stopped, "Did you hear that?"

Robin could barely make out the eyes of a Giant Fucking Spider as it charged from the darkness. In a split second his bolts were firing as several more came down surrounding them.

Amiri grunted as she took the head charge of one of them, the gnashing of pincers stopped inches away as she hefted her giant sword. With another grunt she managed to push it back as she did she stepped forward bringing down her blade, cutting the spider's head in two.

Robin grunted as he used the torch to ward two more spiders back. As he fired two bolts, having it pierced the skull of one of them that chose to charge from his side, he placed his hand on the ground as dozens of vines burst from the ground attempting to grab the spiders.

He could hear the Barbarian yell as she swung her giant sword, he fired several more bolts, but he could feel them creepily crawling on him.

A quick look down showed dozens of small spiders climbing on top of him, he took another step back as he faded from view turning into a spirit as any Servant could do. The spiders, not able to latch onto a Spirit fell to the floor, with a mental command he returned to throw down one of the Alchemist's Fire that he was given.

The many spiders blew up in fire and began to panic as he focused down another of the larger ones, noticing Amiri had taken down all but one on her side.

Amiri grabbed hold of the fleeing spider as she ripped its leg off the spider not showing an ounce of care about its leg kept running as she threw the leg as if it was a spear piercing the spider's thorax as it stopped moving and began to fall from its web.

"Spider meat is good, safe meat, tasty and their webbing makes good rope if you have someone that can do that sort of stuff." Robin let out a breath he didn't know he held as he took a seat on the ground.

"Yeah yeah, give me a moment. Used a bit more mana than I planned."

Amiri nodded as she began to hack away at one of them. Taking a breath he felt for the connection between him and his master and pulled just a bit more. He didn't know if she knew it but he could feel an endless sort of mana from her. He had a feeling it was due to whatever the Moon Cell did to bring her into a full fledged body. Or maybe he was pulling from the shiny ring she wore that connected her to the Moon Cell.

Letting out a chuckle at the thought that he a common enough thief was able to get unlimited mana from what might as well be the Holy Grail that many fought for he got up and began to try and milk the spider venom out of the spiders.

"Just a bit farther there should be some bushes, Old Man Bokken wants some of the berries for use, might as well grab some on the way back." Robin stated, picking up his torch Amiri and him managed to find a few skeletons and a single bush sitting in the only light coming into the cave.

With unnerving agility Robin plucked out a few dozen of the small red berries storing them in his pouch.

Amiri nodded, "Stealth… isn't my strong suit neither is fighting at a range. But I think I can trust you with my back. Was hoping there was something stronger in this little cave but other than the lizards outside it was a waste."

Robin sighed as he scratched the back of his head, "Yeah, hard person to trust being a thief and all. But I follow my Master, keep her safe and all that."

Amiri nodded, as she heard the scuttling of more spiders deeper in the cave. "Shouldn't waste our time, found a few things on this guy" She nudged the human skeleton on the ground, "He seemed like an adventurer with a few potions and a wand."

Robin nodded, "Take out too many predators and something worse might try and move in, let's get going."

Hakuno found out that making scrolls came easy for her. At least for the knowledge the Regalia gave her. Seemed like all it needed was to scan and can make copies of the scroll as long as it had the materials for it.

Linzi mentioned that it felt like cheating but they managed to make a few copies of healing spells as well as a spell to remove 'Damage' to attributes. She didn't fully understand and no one could explain it clearly to her but she linked it to a difference of culture and connected it to a Heroic Spirit's Statistic.

Bokken nodded in respect as she held up the scroll she copied. "Good good. Many would kill for your ability, copying scrolls usually takes hours increasing in time depending on the level of the spell. But you're able to do it in only an hour and it doesn't matter the level or tradition. Any school would gladly take you. Or kidnap you and force you to make endless scrolls, one of the two."

Hakuno decided it would be best for no one else to know about it, "Pah don't worry bout me. Old Bokken here wouldn't be believed if he told people. Just make sure no one else finds out."

Hakuno could feel her Servant approaching, "Robin should have your berries ready for you."

Hakuno watched as his eyes lit up at that, "Good! Good! I can finally eat again…" With unnatural agility the man lept towards the door to the inn as Robin was about to open the door.

"Fangberries!"

Robin made a conflicted face as he handed one of his small pouches to Bokken, "Should be enough for you for a while, got some spider venom, help me out with it and make some poisons and help my Master here and all yours."

"Deal!" Bokken grabbed both pouches as he fled upstairs into his room. "Will be ready by tomorrow!"

Hakuno felt a wave of relief as he went up to his room, "Now we should prepare as we will leave for the Thorn Ford first thing in the morning."

"Robin, can you keep watch? Just in case our visitor shows up again…"

Robin nodded as he sighed to himself, 'When will I get to take it easy? Maybe if she became the Ruler… then she will have a small army to protect her… Maybe I should try and convince her to summon more Servants? Nah. Just go with the flow Robin Hood. Go with the flow.'

Author's Note: Actually don't got much to say, pretty straightforward chapter, setting up a few things for the future and might go fast over a few things due to the absolute length of Kingmaker maybe after Act1 is done I'll make a side story involving funny antics I can see the groups dealing with? And some of the smaller problems can be dealt with actual Pathfinders that may or may not get chapters about in the side story? Will have to think it through but its a possibility for the future.

Have a good day and see you next time.
