At lunch the next day, Spike, Tom, Jerry, and Spike's friends were talking how they met for the first time. Tom and Jerry already shared their stories.
"Hey, Spike, remember that time we met you weren't very friendly in the beginning of a movie theater?" Porky asked.
"Of course I do. I didn't expect to end up with a friendship."
Flashback:
About five or ten years ago, Spike saw a few others who were joining him for the same movie.
"Mind if we join you?" the duck asked.
"Why don't you sit somewhere else instead?" Spike asked.
It's not often Spike is around other animals like the pig and duck.
Spike enjoyed sitting alone during the entire film. He didn't feel guilty one bit after not letting the duck and pig sit with him. Spike also saw there were a few cats, but they never bothered asking if they could join him. Once the movie was over, he saw the pig and duck on the way out.
"You look like you have something to say," the duck said.
"Yes, I do. I just want to apologize what happened before we sat down," Spike told them.
"Apology accepted."
A few minutes had come and gone, and it looked like the three of them were enjoying a conversation.
There was no hurry to get back home. They all decided to find a snack or two and talked a bit longer.
"What's your name?" the duck asked.
"Why do you need to know? I'm Spike."
"Porky," the pig said.
"Name seems to fit," he said.
"Daffy," the duck replied.
Now they ended the conversation after the introduction.
"Since we're friends now, do you think we could try getting together in the future soon?" Daffy asked.
"We shall see. This is good for now," Spike answered.
Porky seemed to like Spike's idea.
"He's right, Daffy. You may never know what will happen in the future."
End Flashback
"Neither did we," Daffy agreed.
"How long ago was this?" Jerry asked, listening to their conversation.
"About five or ten years ago," Porky said.
"Just meeting each other for the first time," Daffy said.
"I see. This is the first time Spike has said anything about you until now. Isn't it, Spike?" Jerry asked.
"That's because you guys are too busy chasing each other. No need to," Spike told him.
He had a good point. That's when Tom rejoined the group.
"Did I miss anything?"
"Just sharing stories how we met for the first time," Daffy answered.
"If I did miss out, then I feel guilty."
"Don't think that way, Tom. You don't have to be around for everything," Porky added.
This might be a useless conversation, but it was a story to share with Tom and Jerry. Now they had to figure out what to do next.
