"Gege…"
"Yes?"
"Have you done this before?"
Nian asked as they were slowly walking through the hall of this building. But not just any building. It was a prison.
How did they get in here without anyone detecting them?
Well, that is a very simple answer to this question.
Nian.
Lin Ye asked Nian if she could teleport both of them into the building. With her being a being that could be considered a God to people on this planet, he thought that she might have a way to do so.
And luckily for him, he guessed correctly.
With a simple snap of her finger, she got both of them into the building without any trouble. They were now walking in the hall to find Mostima.
Nian used her sensitive senses to navigate the dark while Lin Ye used Maple to help him.
Hearing this sudden question from Nian, Lin Ye stopped and turned to look at her.
"What made you ask me that?" Lin Ye asked back to her.
Nian looked annoyed. She put both of her hands on her hip and leaned closer to him.
"Gege," Her eyes narrowed at him, "You just got into a prison, and you are acting like a natural."
Lin Ye hummed at what she just claimed. She was right. This whole thing did not bother him. It was like he was just doing some chores.
Did he get used to all of this?
Maybe.
"No comment," He simply said and continued to walk on.
Running away from the problem always helps him. So now he was doing it again.
People always say that you can't run away from your problems forever.
Well, he can counter this argument.
They did not run fast enough and gave up.
Lin Ye was confident in his speed and stamina.
This did not sit right with her and Nian raced to his side. When Lin Ye looked at her, he saw Nian glaring at him.
"Gege!" She drawled out, "Answer me!"
Seeing that Nian was not going to let this topic go, Lin Ye let out a tired sigh.
It seemed that Lin Ye could usually run from his troubles, but Nian was too fast for him.
"Well, breaking into prison is not something I do," Lin Ye explained as they continued to walk in the dark hall, "However, you just need to know that your Gege has some experience in stressful situations in his life."
A smirk appeared on Nian's face.
"Stressful situations?" She repeated his words, "So finding me in a stressful situation was stressful?"
Lin Ye raised a brow at this sudden claim of hers. Then he laughed.
"Well, it was stressful," Lin Ye admitted, "You did try to eat me."
She scrunched her eyes at this.
"I did not try to do that," Nian replied.
"Really?" With how he sounded, Lin Ye was not buying it.
Nian glared at him harder.
"I am not lying," Then she started to grumble something under her breath.
"I was just trying to get those women away from you."
"Huh?" Lin Ye did not quite hear her just now and leaned closer to her, "What did you say? I was too focused on our surroundings to hear that. Can you repeat that?"
Nian shook her head and walked faster now, leaving Lin Ye behind.
"Nothing."
Although dark, with the help of Maple, Lin Ye could clearly see Nian's ears were slightly red now.
Lin Ye held back his laugh and picked up the speed. When he was next to Nian again, it seemed that she composed herself again.
"So Nian," He started their conversation, "Are you sure no one can hear us?"
She looked at him and folded her arms around herself.
"Don't worry Gege," Nian puffed out her chest proudly at him, "No one can hear us. Trust me."
To explain, to make sure no one hears them, Lin Ye asked Nian to put some sort of charm or spell around them to make their presence unnoticeable to the guards. With how loud they were and no one stopping them, her trick seemed to be doing its job.
But there was something that was bugging him now.
"Nian, just to make sure," Lin Ye glanced back at her, "Your spell, it only makes us invisible to the people and not the other way round, right?"
"Yes?" Nian sounded confused now and stopped walking. Lin Ye too halted himself to discuss this more, "Why are you asking me this, Gege?"
Lin Ye looked into a cell next to them.
"Don't you find it suspicious that we haven't seen any prisoners here yet?" He asked her.
Nian followed his gaze to the side and saw that all the cells in this building were empty.
"You're right Gege," She nodded at him, "Something is not right here. Why are there so many people guarding this empty place?"
Lin Ye looked away from the empty cells and looked ahead.
"I have no idea," He said, "What matters is for us to find Mostima in this building first."
With that, Lin Ye continued walking again. Nian followed beside him.
"Gege, do you know where she is?" She asked.
"No idea," He truthfully admitted, "Based on what Diana told us, I know she is in the building. We just needed to search this place from up to down to find her."
Nina nodded at this.
"Hey Gege," Nian smirked at him, "You said that you need to take care of your image as the Doctor right? Breaking in prison is not something the head of a company would do."
Lin Ye chuckled at this.
"You're right," He admitted, "But I am not the Doctor now."
This response intrigued her.
"Who are you now then Gege?" Nian asked.
He hummed as he looked ahead of him.
"Now? Two things," Lin Ye lifted two fingers at her, "Nian's Brother and Mostima's friend."
{Rhodes Island's Psychologist}
"Ye will be taking a quick walk around the city with Nian. It won't take long."
Adnachiel told the others that were in the room with him.
Stewards nodded at this while Ansel glanced at the clock that was hanging on the wall next to him.
"A quick walk?" Ansel let out a frustrated sigh from his lips, "It's already two hours now. Where are they walking to for this long? To Lungmen?"
The angel smiled at the medic's frustration.
"You seemed to really care for the Doctor's well-being." He told him.
This only made Ansel sigh even harder.
"You don't know him. That man is a walking disaster. Wherever he goes, something must happen." Ansel explained to him, "The worst part of all of this is that he knows this. And guess what he does? Goes on an adventure."
Ansel walked to a chair and sat on it.
"If Dr Kal'tsit did not tell me about how important this mission is for Rhodes Island, being around him in a mission would be the last thing I would do," Ansel told them, "Luckily Miss Blaze will be coming here tomorrow. I hope she can control him."
"I think you are exaggerating a bit," Said Adnachiel, "What can the Doctor do?"
"Trust me," Ansel stared deeply at the sniper, "He will find a way."
Adnachiel just nervously chuckled at this.
The leader of the group, Stewards, looked outside from the window and he could see almost the whole city with how high their rooms were.
Looking at the city, a building caught his attention.
Without looking away from it, he called the only citizen of the city in the room.
"Hey Adnachiel," He pointed his hand to it, "What's that?"
The angel walked to him and looked at what he was pointing at.
"Ah, that building," He hummed, "That is just a prison… but at the same time, it isn't one."
This made the other two raise a brow at him.
"What do you mean?" The caster asked.
"Because that place only holds one person in it," The sniper explained, "However, from my memory, that place hasn't been used for a long time now."
He then smiled at them.
"Just ignore it."
