After the Battle of Yavin, Ahsoka, Ezra, and the Seventh Sister started to train Luke on Devaron during their downtime. Its remoteness and knowledge made it ideal for Skywalker.

The Seventh Sister had been training Luke to enhance his agility. Seventh set up a circuit for Luke to improve his jumping abilities.

Luke front flipped over a large boulder blocking his way in the trail.

Then, he somersaulted through an opening of a fallen tree. After a few more obstacles, he was able to completely circle the circuit. He was met by the Seventh Sister.

"You are progressing very well Skywalker."

"Thank you Master! Did you see me do the circuit?"

"Why yes, my apprentice. I'm able to hide myself very well."

Luke was glad each of his masters taught him something different. He demonstrated his utmost respect to all of them. Seventh Sister taught him ways to enhance his agility and jumps using the force. The purpose of the lessons was for Skywalker to use it to escape strikes and go on offense. Luke found it very helpful when sparring with his masters.

He always was intrigued by Seventh's past. He thought the only darksiders in the Empire were the Emperor and Vader. He wouldn't have thought there were dark side agents serving the Empire. That was all new to him.

"Master, when are you going to teach me how to better lift objects? Ahsoka says I still need to calm down and learn patience."

"Ambitious, you are my apprentice… I'll give you that."

Luke still looked at her, awaiting an answer.

"I bite. I know she won't approve of my methods, but we know your potential. You are the only one who has the potential to defeat Vader and the Empire."

Luke assumed her method meant channeling more of the dark side.

"Master, even though you're against the Empire, do you still use the Dark Side?" Luke asked.

"I wouldn't say that. I would say I am protecting what I love and care for. I am fighting for the freedom of people like us. Strong in the force."

"Because of my powers, I have been a slave all my life. To the Jedi. To the Empire. Now I serve the Rebellion for amnesty."

Luke responded, "But Master, you're not fighting for the Rebellion just for amnesty…"

Luke viewed the Seventh Sister as someone trying to find a balance. Trying to find a way to use the dark side for the side of good.

She had been a great mentor to him.

Seventh looked speechless, "Well… the Jedi forbid attachments. We are meant to be emotionless, everything was meant by the will of the force."

"Sometimes you will represent a movement to get the approval or love from a single person. I see how sympathetic and understanding you are with everyone. You are not meant to be strictly a Jedi. But something along the middle, as Bendu would say,"

Bendu. Thanks to him, she went through his challenge and healed her sabers white. He taught her the problem with being either a Jedi or a Sith. It is important to find a balance.

Luke only heard short stories about Bendu. "I remember Ahsoka speaking about my father. He was known as the "Chosen One" meant to bring balance to the force. I never understood the meaning behind that…"

"Well sadly, your father was killed by Vader. Sometimes, prophecies could be wrong."

Seventh gulped, guilt building up from what she said. "Look, Luke I shouldn't have said it like that. I believe if you embrace aspects of both sides of the force, you have the ability to bring balance to yourself."

Luke brought his head up and smiled.

"Thank you for believing in me, master. Your transformation inspires me to believe in others."

"What about Vader? He killed Anakin, your father. And his master, Obi-Wan. Do you believe he can change?"

Luke can't admit it in front of Ahsoka and Ezra, but he hates Vader. He wants to see him killed, not changed. Maybe Seventh has a point. Maybe it should be best for him to be in the middle, to find "balance" as she always has. Maybe him finding balance could be the key to finally defeating the Empire.

"I… I think he is at the point of no return Master, It's not just because he killed my father. It's because of all the Jedi, all the innocents who were killed. He has no mercy in his heart. We need to bring him to justice."

"I'm afraid of Ezra and Ahsoka thinking I'm a bad influence on you."

"You are wise for your age Luke. I am proud of you. Ezra, Ahsoka, and I will always believe in you."

Luke looked like he won the Boonta Classic.

"Now are you ready to learn my way of lifting objects with the force?"

"Yes master!"

Seventh smiled, feeling a sense of fulfillment from building up Luke.

Later, Luke sat next to a tree on top of a hill meditating. The Seventh Sister was keeping a watchful eye.

"Now, feel the force that surrounds this nature. Connect with it."

"This is where Tano and Bridger don't approve of my methods, apprentice. All the pain and trauma of the past… Use it as fuel to be in control of your surroundings."

Luke thought of the pain and trauma from his past. His Uncle and Aunt dying, burned to their bones. This forced him to go on an adventure with Old Ben. He heard that his father was killed by Vader, then saw the same evil man kill Old Ben in front of his eyes. Vader… he killed his father and his master. He wanted nothing but his defeat, his destruction. He started feeling rage, resentment, and an urge for revenge. "I… I hate him!"

Suddenly, the ground started shaking. All the tiny rocks that surrounded Luke were lifting off the ground. The dirt trail nearby started cracking. It was as if Luke was causing an earthquake.

"He is very powerful, but this must stop before it causes too much attention," Seventh thought.

She kept calm. "Very good Luke, you can stop now…"

Luke did not listen. He was in his own world, imagining defeating Vader and freeing the Galaxy from the Emperor's wrath.

"Luke… please!" Seventh Sister rarely said please or anyone's first name outside of Ezra. This was an exception because she was afraid of how much destruction Luke's power can cause.

Luke went back to reality, seeing his master's concerned face. The ground stopped shaking and rocks fell back to the ground.

"I'm… I'm sorry master. I let my hatred have too much control over me."

Seventh Sister put her hand on Luke's shoulder, "Luke I will always be proud of you."

"Just save that energy for destroying Vader and the Emperor, alright?" she grinned.

Luke smiled. He was glad to make his master happy.
