{ Rest }

A few Arsenal Drivers came to the scene, only to see a dead humanoid lying on the ground with his heart pierced, a certain princess who sat on the ground tired, staring at General Lock, who had trouble moving, only being supported by the Immortal Saintess.

The battle had stopped earlier and the enemy dragons have either surrendered or fled away at the death of their leader.

"Huh, the battle is already over... and I still have my terrible luck." Sifrit said, before noticing a few Dracorellian Wyvern Riders coming for their princess to aid her.

"I've got to say, as much as I disliked that guy for siding with the False Dragon King, he still holds some respect from me." Sifrit commented, looking down towards Noce's corpse.

Eikolnian Soldiers arrived at the scene, and asked Lock to rest, in which he complied.

Many buildings were destroyed, the fires that recently came to devour the town were already extinguished, and they would have to rest.

This fortress could be used as a settlement and a point where an alliance from both Empire and Kingdom would be made soon.

A day has passed since the battle, and everything was pretty normal. Buildings were restored to their previous forms in the blink of an eye using magic, and the dragons were also kept on a tight observation and were being interviewed and interrogated.

The Dracorellian Princess and the leaders of the previous battle alongside the troops that were still alive, 22k total had planned to say in this fortress for several days to recover.

For Stella, she was trying to find out how to manually deactivate her draconic power whenever it activates, else she would quickly drain her mana reserves.

And for Sifrit? He carried Noce's corpse up a mountain early in the morning and burned it in a ritualistic manner, though it looked more like atradition than just a ritual. He returned a few hours while the corpse burnt to ashes, though was disappointed and annoyed that Lock stole his victory.

To Lock...

He was inside a room in the mansion where he was meant to recover in. For some reason, he was alone here, and slightly creeped him up even when the morning sun's rays were visible.

The door opened, revealing Lucia in her usual dress, a bright dress that reached down to her knees under a white coat with golden engravings. She carried a bowl containing a recently cooked soup, which had assailed the sense of smell from the resting General and had fully woke him up.

His mouth salivated, and his stomach growled in hunger. Due to this, he felt a little bit embarrassed.

"Ufu~ don't worry about anyone poisoning your soup, after all, I cooked it all by myself and tried it." She assured him, carefully placing the tray on the table beside Lock's bed, before giving him the warm bowl of soup.

Lock sniffed at the bowl, then happily started consuming it's contents without spilling and wasting even a single drop, thinking it would be very rude to her.

"Haah~! Thank you, Lucia. " Lock spoke, breathing out steam as he looked at Lucia, who had a slight smile plastered on her face.

'... Was she opening up on me? Eh... she's been completely nonchalant and almost indifferent towards me or even everyone else many, many times, and now she feels different. Very different from what I have seen from her several times...' Lock thought as his mouth slightly opened in surprise.

"Hey, Lucia. Did something happen to you?"

"It's father. He allowed me to do as I wish. And you, for being an intriguing individual that held on to his promise that seemed impossible a year ago." She answered, making Lock remember that Lucia had an insane amount of loyalty towards her father, and the promise he made.

He felt his cheeks reddening.

"It's about dating you... and eventually becoming your husband as you become my wife." Lock really felt like covering his face with a blanket, but held back that urge, he needs to keep a straight, casual face with her around! He absolutely can not embarrass himself and make her impression of him down!

"Of course, let's start actually dating when we get back to Eikoln City. And about the marriage? Let us convince father a few months later, if he could be convinced." Lucia spoke a little playfully, before pouring two teacups with lukewarm tea and served one of them to Lock.

The tea helped him calm down, lest he'd break up in embarrassment.

Flakes Fortress, formerly a fortress that had been dominated by the dragons, had been taken over by both Kingdom of Dracorell and Empire of Eikoln. The fortress is located 450 km east of Dracorell and 700 km west of Eikoln City.

It is surrounded by a massive, oval shaped wall that had the diameter of 4.25 km and the height of 200 meters, however, it would take just three days to repair using Earth Magic. Aside from that, the houses were already repaired to their former states.

The Metal Desastre was salvaged and delivered to Head Researcher Suu for Data Recovery, following that, two flags were raised, an Eikolnian one and a Dracorellian one.

The Immortal Saintess of Eikoln, Lucia and the First Princess of Dracorell, Stella willingly signed a contract that would share the said fortress to both nations, and establish a trading route and increase the relationships between Eikoln and Dracorell.

For now, there were no signs of conflict or attack from the Kingdragon Kingdom located north of Dracorell, however, attacks coming from inside Dracorell and Eikoln were to be expected, yet the former was calculated to have been more prone to it.

For now, there was nothing big happening in both nations, but in the shadows of the said nations, things might take a huge turn.
