Omega plopped down on the beach, causing a substantial quake through the sand. The sun beat down on his metal body as he observed the waves crash in and pull back.

There was a rhythm there. Not entirely on beat but still consistent.

The chirping of the birds was another sprinkling of sound on the seascape. So were the panicked screams of the villagers that Omega didn't place on any kind of priority. The village sorted itself out, and had done so for as long as he had been sentient.

He decided to bring out the speakers in his shoulder joints and activate his boombox function.

The steady thud of the bass made the sand around him jump around, and Omega checked his playlist for the best order of songs that he had written for just such a beach day.

"There you are!"

He sensed Rouge and Shadow approaching him, but neither moved to touch him. Instead, they stood relatively close — though Shadow made his best efforts to seem as isolated as possible — as Omega turned up the volume on his musical masterpieces.

Rouge started humming along, and Omega whirred in contentment that she knew his music well enough that she could recognize it and follow along. Shadow didn't move, aside from a small twitch of his ear when Omega decided that he wanted to play a new song.

It was one of his favorite ones. He had written it specifically for them.

And so Team Dark quietly bobbed their heads to their theme song as the village behind them descended further into cacophonous chaos.
