Ciana now laid in a hospital bed, still unconscious from the sudden power drain. She was pretty beat up from the fight and very weak as she just stayed looking limb in bed, There were still new ways about her new powers Ciana hasn't known about and probably was unaware what she just did, Now that everyone knows Ciana is from another world as well as where her power came from, she can only imagine how they might judge her… that's what will terrify her as well as who got hurt because of her once she ever wakes up…
Both Izuku and All Might were forced to rest, though the second bed was taken up by Ciana still sleeping soundly with Izuku sitting by her side, holding her hand as he ran his thumb in slow circles across her palm. Recovery Girl sighed as the orange rays brightened the room. "I suppose I won't scold you both for being back here, since it wasn't your faults,"
"I... can't be sure yet... but I think I shortened my time limit with that fight," All Might rasped, causing Izuku's head to snap upright. "I just hope I can hold the form for at least an hour,"
"I'm so sorry," Izuku felt relieved his identity wasn't revealed, but that battle took too much of a toll this time.
"Well, no use worrying, these things happen," All Might sat up, revealing the bandages around his torso. Izuku felt real worry for the future creep in, only now had he managed to control One For All, but could he master it before All Might lost his power entirely?
Just then, the door opened, "Excuse me," Closing the door behind them, Izuku gasped as he came to see the familiar face of Detective Tsukauchi.
"What the hell, I didn't know you were investigating!?" All Might coughed up some blood in shock as Izuku's head nearly spun off its shoulders.
"Woah, All Might, he's okay seeing you like this!?" He was afraid they really screwed up this time.
"What? Oh, yeah, he's alright, sorry I never mentioned Tsukauchi knows too, he's my best friend from the force so I trust him," All Might vouched for the man who smiled at the introduction.
"My reintroduction aside, we could really use your help with our investigation-" He began but All Might spun around with his hands up.
"Wait, before that, tell me all the students are okay, and Aizawa - er, Eraserhead, and Thirteen?" All Might waited with bated breath.
Tsukauchi's smile softened, "Aside from yourself, Midoriya, and Finley, the worst were scrapes, and both heroes are in stable conditions," This brought a collective sigh from the pair, the first real bit of good news of today. "If you heroes hadn't risked your lives, the students wouldn't have made it, you three saved that entire class of kids today," He too felt nothing but relief from that.
"You're not seeing the whole picture Tsukauchi," Now, All Might wore a stern face, his eyes burning with pride not for himself but for each and every one of his students. "Those students also risked their lives, they fought as hard as us, and faced demons we heroes face everyday without hesitation,"
This brought a warm feeling to Izuku, he felt like all they did was struggle to survive, but no, All Might saw them fight for each other, to defend not just themselves but their teachers. They stared down Shigaraki, Kurogiri, Nomu, and Meru Zena and walked away alive. "Thank you, All Might," Izuku murmured with genuine gratitude. But... he wished Ciana could hear this too.
"I don't think there's ever been a group of first years who faced a fight like this so early in their training, and not only survived, but learned what it means to be a pro," The man's smile was fixed with confidence. "Those villains made a mistake in attacking them, this class is strong, filled with courage, and drive. In my words, they'll become great heroes," All Might looked to his successor, giving him an encouraging thumbs up that despite the setbacks before them, they'd keep moving forward.
Eventually and finally… As they were talking, Ciana lightly gripped Izukus hand as she let out a groan… slowly she opened her eyes and only saw a blur for a few seconds before she met with the ceiling. Ciana blinked her eyes a few more times as she tried to recall what happened. "W-what's… going on…?" She mumbled out.
She tried to sit up but only winced in pain when trying, still very sore from the whole ordeal…
"Ciana!/Young Finley!" Both Izuku and All Might shifted to look at her, the latter wincing from his own injuries but managed to stare down at the girl with hopeful eyes.
"You're awake... thank goodness," Izuku sighed, that last inch of weight on his chest moving slightly.
Ciana was a little startled by the sudden call of her name plus her last, turning her head to see Izuku and her mentor, while she was relieved they were okay Ciana was very confused how she's still here with them and not taken…
"Izuku? Mr. Yagi? You're both okay!" Ciana smiled knowing they were alive, again she tried to sit up, holding back the pain as she did this time. "What about everyone else? Are… they alright too?" She now asked in much concern for their other friends.
"Yes, they're perfectly fine," All Might assured, turning a little so that Tsukauchi could wave slightly. "Tsukauchi here just finished giving us that bit of good news, aside from us, everyone walked away with minimal injuries,"
That brought some relief to the girl as she exhaled from the news… but now the next question in her mind is how she is still here, which greatly confused her. "That's such a relief… but, how… am I here with you guys? Didn't that guy… try and take me? I-I thought…" her gaze turned down to her lap now, he couldn't remember much besides being carried away in the creeps tail…
"I... think I know how?" Izuku drew their gazes as his brow creased. "There was an abundance of light from you, only briefly, but I think your heightened emotions caused a surge in your power. And taking into account your quirk stems from Meru Zena's it's likely yours and his reject one another at strong bursts of energy, he must've recoiled from the shock that followed," Izuku looked into her eyes then. "You're his biggest weakness, his own quirk."
"That definitely aligns with what I saw, but then why does he need another copy of his quirk? That part's been wracking around in my head but..." All Might shook his head, unable to find a concrete answer.
"I had heard from the heroes on sight, so, it appears our suspicions of Meru Zena's connection to Finley were true," Tsukauchi hummed. "We connected the dots only when he wanted us to, he's crafty given his disposition over the years."
Ciana was pretty stunned by what she's been told, her superpower weakened the guy? Ciana tried to recall more of what happened as she closed her eyes. "Right… I-I think I remember… he suddenly dropped me, and then…" her gaze lifts to Izuku. "You… you saved me from falling." Cianas memories were faint but she thinks she recalled that right.
Though now her frown came, clenching her bed sheets as she looked back down to her lap. "Everyone knows now… who I really am and what I'm used for…" Her grip tightened the sheets more, now starting to tremble. "But not only that… Everyone got hurt because of me…"
"About that," Tsukauchi spoke up, giving the girl a supportive look. "While yes everyone was attacked, it was clearly unavoidable and none of it was your fault, yes, you were his target, but everyone there hasn't spoken a word about blaming you, in fact, your classmates only asked if you, All Might and Midoriya were well, the topic did come up about whether or not you being from another world was true, to which I felt it best to leave that for you to discuss, other than that, not even your teachers broached the subject,"
"I told you, it doesn't matter if you are from another world, they're your friends," Izuku reassured, smiling again. "You're safe, and no one got seriously hurt but us, there's nothing to feel guilty about."
"He's right, Young Finley, while this attack caught us off guard, you most importantly gave me vital time to maintain my form, had you not, my true state would've been revealed long before Meru Zena ever chose to attack us," All Might bowed his head slightly. "As I said, you have saved me today as well, for that, I'm grateful,"
Ciana definitely didn't expect everyone would be concerned for her, her gaze lifted back up in surprise. "R-really?" Now wiping any tears that were about to come. "B-but… they heard I have a wicked superpower from a terrible villain, don't they… think that's concerning?" Ciana was still afraid of what her friends would say, especially Bakugo who probably thinks she's more of a freak now…
"But also if my power really came from him… d-does that mean… I-I'm gonna end up like a monster like him…?" Ciana was terrified at the possibility she would mutate the more she used her quirk, recalling what Meru Zena looked like when he made his full appearance.
"A quirk isn't evil," Izuku spoke up before All Might could interject. "Sure, bad people can use their gift to do terrible things, the villains today were a clear showing of that, but if they had gone another route, their powers could be used to save others. Like any weapon, it isn't defined by what it is but who uses it," Then he grabbed both her hands to help her stop trembling. "I'm not sure what will happen if your power grows, but I know it'll only make you even stronger, nothing about you will change just because your quirk does, Ciana,"
All Might had never seen his student so filled with confidence, not out of fear or necessity but genuine kindness and compassion. Everyday, Izuku only displayed more of the qualities All Might saw in that young man who chased after his shadow.
"The boy's right you know," Recovery Girl chimed in. "You can't fret over so many unknowns, it's not healthy for a girl your age, instead, focus on what is right in front of you, and work your way up from that."
Ciana eyed Izuku as he spoke as well when he took her hands. Listening to his calm and reassuring words was enough to make her feel so warm inside again. This brought her smile back a little as her eyes stayed on him, nodding at his kind words toward her as well as the nurses. "Thank you everyone… that means a lot, but what about the pros?"
Now wondering about the other heroes. "They heard of my sudden identity as well… Did they say anything? I can imagine this would be enough to get on the news…" Ciana is glad All Might's identity is kept but hers was revealed… wondering what the pro hero's think about all this too.
"The Principle and the other heroes agreed this news should remain private, even if word were to get out there's nothing in the law that can be used against you in the case of being a foreigner, especially since you've gotten official documentation making you a legal citizen," Tsukauchi explained, smiling a little more at that. "I like to think ahead in your investigation in the event more learned of your background, so no, nothing will change in regards to your standing here, as for your teachers, they may ask the occasional question I'm sure but you shouldn't have any significant changes to your life."
"Even so, I'd vouch for Young Finley myself," This came as a surprise to the teens from All Might. "She's just a kid, so I won't allow her to endure anymore hardships concerning her origins, so it's a relief to know the Principle is in agreement,"
This really took her back with a lot of surprise as her eyes widened, they really would go that far to vouch for her? Ciana's smile rose more as her happy tears now came out. "Everyone… I-I don't know what to say…'' she sniffled, her tears still streaming but her smile still stayed. "I-I can't thank you enough… as well as to express how sorry I am to have brought a lot of trouble to all of you..."
They might not take her arrival personally but Ciana still felt she had to apologize. "I never realized my arrival would bring so much trouble to be used for something bad as well as bring danger to all of you…" her concerned expression now showed as her eyes landed back to Izuku. "But… I can't help but feel worried about how far he will go next… especially to hurt all of you to get to me, I… I don't want to bring that into UA like what just happened with all those villains that showed up…" now her eyes looked away in sadness and worry, afraid they will get hurt worse next time…
All of them smiled a bit, and All Might leaned over to gently pat Ciana on the head gingerly, perking her up to stare at the skeletal man's fiery eyes. "There is nothing to feel sorry for, young lady, and besides, investigations like this will be common in yours and this young man's future so believe me, this is no skin off our noses, the villains today and Meru Zena are two battles that will test us, however, when that day comes, I know you will be strong enough to confront them, yourself, Young Midoriya, and your classmates,"
"You may have missed this, but the villains today made a big mistake attacking you all, for this experience will only spur you further toward becoming great heroes, and as for yourself, hone this power, turn it into your own so that you and you alone control it, something born from evil isn't inherently evil, remember that," He lowered his hand to cough into it.
The hero's kind gesture meant a lot to her inside as he made her smile again, this experience did make her feel a lot stronger and to help stand up for her friend who were afraid, something she always wanted to do for others. "I guess I could learn more about how I can protect myself and others… thank you Mr Yagi." She nodded as thanks to him.
"I'm glad I was able to be there to help you keep your identity a secret, once I recover enough I'll make sure to provide more stamina back to you again." Her smile rose more compassionately, she could see he still looked pretty weak and could use the extra muscle.
"Haha, I'll not rush your recovery..." He smiled nervously, feeling a dark presence over his shoulder. "Ahem! So, I assume you only came by to give us the report, or were you worried?" He addressed his detective friend to ignore the old woman's deadly glare.
"A bit of both if I'm honest, but yes, I've got a lot to compile concerning today's events," Tsukauchi put his hat back on. "I'll not keep you three, oh, and Midoriya, Finley?" The pair eyed the detective who gave them a gracious grin. "Thank you for today," He didn't elaborate further, simply taking his leave.
"Now, you three rest up, and while you only had a broken arm, I expect to see you sitting here until I say you can move, understood?" Recovery Girl pointed her cane at each of them firmly.
"Yes Ma'am," They reluctantly compiled.
"W-wait, you broke your arm?!" That caused Ciana to whip her head to Izuku in worry, did he end up using his superpower in the battle to protect her? "H-how did you manage to do that?!" Ciana never liked knowing or hearing he broke any of his bones… it scared her how much damage his body will take because of that new power he has.
Now came the part Izuku was dreading, massaging his now healed arm. "W-well y-you see when I p-pushed you M-Meru Zena may... have... broke my arm...?" He whispered the last part. "And... two fingers to escape... the... s-shipwreck z-zone..." He felt much, much smaller now.
That was enough to cause Ciana to gasp in shock and horror, he did that just so he could protect her…? Her eyes went to his now healed arm as this brought a lot of concern to her presence around him… if he went that far to save her, what will happen when Meru Zena comes back. "Izuku…" her hands went to her hovering over her mouth, terrified how far he would go for her next time…
"Will… I-I end up being the one to lead him to death…?" Ciana didn't like what she was theorizing now…
"I-I mean, h-his tail was lined with s-some tough scales, n-not to mention the amount of energy h-he probably accumulated broke my arm with a single swing, b-but I only really broke m-my fingers with my q-quirk," But this didn't seem to relieve her frightened look. "Ciana... I... you know this wasn't your fault, and I only ever swore to use my full strength when it was an emergency, that hasn't changed, I swear,"
"I've been meaning to ask, what was that new look?" All Might tried to help pull the dreadful conversation away, eyeing his successor. "You looked completely different when you rushed in to save me on both accounts, have you finally found a way to use One For All properly?"
"Ye-yes, thanks to Ciana, actually, s-she was the key to my breakthrough," He beamed, hoping that would cheer her up, he wanted to do more but... well, his mentor and hero, and a nurse were present so he'd save that for later.
Ciana still didn't like he hurt himself because of her, but the topic now being about her aid to Izuku brought her blush on. Her gaze looked back down as she felt steam coming out of her head from what he was implying. "W-well I-I helped a little… I-it's not long lasting though."
Just recalling their personal method was making her feel embarrassed to bring up even when they didn't say exactly how they did it. "J-judging how Izuku still hurt himself, it seems it's just temporary…"
"Hm? No, what I mean is it was how you utilize your quirk that gave me the breakthrough, your power was trying to compensate for the empty space in my body, so now all I have to do is keep One For All flowing continuously though I can handle about five percent at the moment, I'm not sure what would happen if that was applied with Ciana's Aura, if I can boost my percentage without any strain..." Izuku muttered a bit in deep thought until All Might spoke up.
"Getting creepy again!" Izuku deadpanned but shook out of it when he found All Might's fist held out to him. "Well, not bad kid, you've gone beyond my expectations, so, what do you call this new form of yours?"
His muttering just brought a giggle out of her as she still found it very cute, she might be the only one who doesn't mind it. "Hm? You mean his power level? I didn't think it needed a name for it besides just One For All."
Superpowers are just becoming more complicated to her now, Ciana didn't think she would ever get used to it especially how different and creepy some of them can be.
"...I was thinking... Full Cowling," That name brought a smile to his face again. "Yeah, One For All, Full Cowling,"
"Hm, not bad," All Might nodded in agreement. "Then you be sure to train well, and I'll do my part to guide you,"
"Thank you," Izuku nodded, bumping his fist to All Might's.
[Transition]
Ciana and Izuku were now able to move around again, giving them the time needed to join their class to change out of their damaged costumes, both still felt either exhausted or sore in certain spots, but they managed. With a small parting wave, the two took to their respective changing rooms, hearing the commotion from both sides.
Ciana still felt really anxious changing in front of the girls… it's not a public thing back home even if it's just girls… as she entered the change rooms, Ciana just headed to her locker and kept herself in front to avoid looking at the other girls changing.
"This still feels so weird… I wish they just had stalls so we can just change privately… I can't even look at the others without feeling like I'm invading their privacy…" now opening her locker.
"Finley!/You're okay!/How are you!?" Several voices surrounded her as she jumped, turning to Uraraka, Ashido, and Hagakure all yelled with the other girls turning around with wide eyes at the girl's sudden appearance, having slipped in as silent as a mouse.
She was incredibly startled by the call of her name as she quickly turned to see her gal friends, maybe except for the invisible girl… Ciana blushed incredibly red, noticing they were barely dressed as her head turned away to avoid looking. "Oh h-hey everyone! I-I'm fine as you can see, s-sorry to have worried you all…" she quickly responded, rubbing the back of her neck and still keeping her gaze away.
"We were so worried! That freaky villain nabbed you and, well uh... sorry," Ashido grinned, realizing that might've been a sensitive topic. "Right-right, but you're all good, that's what counts, right?" The other girls nodded happily.
"Just to address the elephant in the room, you're from another world? Is that true, ribbit?" Tsu dropped the bomb almost immediately.
"A few of us overheard the teachers talking about it with the detective guy, but... we wanted to ask you, if that's okay?" Uraraka asked more gently, the girls stepping back to give their flustered friend some room to breathe.
"Not to sound blunt, but it's really hard to believe," Jiro tacked on, waving a jack. "I mean, that basically rips the lid off like, thousands of theories in one swing."
She knew the question was gonna come out sooner or later… looking down and still keeping her gaze away, Ciana took a deep breath before answering. "…Yes… it's all true…" her sheepish smile came now, lifting her head up but only to bring her gaze away again. "I-I'm sorry, I know this is probably hard to believe but I would have said something sooner, but I didn't think you believed me or if you did you think I'm a freak knowing how different I truly am…"
Remembering what the Japanese do to apologize, she bowed her head but also doing this to keep her gaze away still. "I'm so so sorry about all this trouble… I hope knowing this now doesn't make you think any less of me but if you do then I'll understand if you're mad…"
There was silence among the girls for a time, some looking amongst themselves before Hagakure, merely a pair of floating gloves grabbed Ciana's biceps, shaking her slightly as the invisible girl jumped up and down. "This is so cool! A real person from another world! That's like - every fictional story ever come to life! What's it like? Is your world like ours too!? What about quirks!?"
"Hagakure, calm down, let her breathe!" Yaoyorozu yanked the girl away, shaking her head. "I must admit it is rather surprising, if not a little unbelievable, but..."
"Holy crap you actually are from another world," Jiro had the most shocked reaction, her jaw slacked and her eyes were wide. Since her hearing was good enough to tell when a person lied, she heard nothing but honesty from Ciana. "Holy crap, you're really from another world, holy... crap..." She had to grab her temples just to process this.
"That's amazing and all but why'd you think we'd be mad?" Tsu blinked, cocking her head.
"Yeah! I can totally get behind having a girl friend from another world, sounds awesome!" Ashido grinned ear to ear.
Ciana was… speechless, she didn't have the right word how surprised she was but also startled from the sudden shake from the invisible girl, now eyeing her friends around her without looking down… Ciana felt a huge weight was lifted off her now knowing they weren't upset or weirded out by her, her smile rose as she placed her arms behind her back in a shy manner. "A-alright… Well to answer some of your questions, my world is the opposite of yours. We don't have any quirks or superheroes, we're all just normal average people including myself…"
Freeing one hand now as she scratched her cheek. "It's a long story but how I came here was from that guy who wanted to take me… also I thought maybe you all be mad because I wasn't being very truthful of my real identity, and…" she looked away now anxiously. "I thought… knowing I'm from a quirkless world, some of you might think I was a freak… you know, cuz… I heard not many people here take the idea of having no quirk well…"
"Oooh, right, the whole quirkless thing, I mean, that's not really your fault, that's just how your world works," Uraraka shrugged, smiling silly, "Bet we'd be total freaks in your world, so who cares, right? We're all weird together,"
"Screw that, what if you didn't have a quirk now? Not like that's what makes you, you, get me?" Jiro brushed off.
"But it's awesome you do have one 'cause we got to meet another worlder!" Hagakure waved frantically. "Aaaah, this is so exciting~!"
"I am fascinated about what other differences there are, but let's save that for the dorms, this isn't the best place for a conversation this important," Yaoyorozu enforced to get the girls to let Ciana go, passing the fellow ravenette a kind smile before turning to continue changing.
Her friends' kind words brought more relief to her, truth be told Ciana was happy not hiding who she is anymore and now has more friends to share her story and situation with. She never felt so at home in a long time, feeling so warm and happy inside. "Thank you so much everyone… this truly means a lot…" she expressed happily to her gal friends.
Now turning around to continue changing, she starts off with her top off, grabbing her tank top out of her locker…
Over in the boys changing room everything was a lot less crazy, mostly in part to Kirishima's aid in asking the guys to hold off on pestering Izuku on everything that happened with Ciana. As they changed, Izuku looked to the redhead. "Thanks for that, Kirishima, t-that really means a lot."
"Hey, no worries, man, in the end it's Finley's choice to talk about it so I just asked them to keep the peace until then, you know?" He shrugged with a toothy grin as the two worked away.
But Izuku felt his chest tighten as he changed. "Ciana was so frightened when I mentioned I broke my fingers, not to mention one swing from Meru Zena's tail messed up my arm... maybe I should ask her about her dreams?" He really wasn't sure what to say in that moment.
"Hey, Midoriya, check it out, we hit the jackpot!" Mineta waved, practically trembling with excitement as he drew the greenette's attention. He stood by the wall, and of a small poster that had fallen slightly to reveal a small rounded hole in the wall. "Someone drilled a hole in this wall, a previous generation has given us a gift," This shocked half the guys into freezing in place, the realization digging in. "You realize what this means, this peers right into the girls locker room!"
"Don't even think about it! Peeping on that is criminal!" Iida berated but it was far too late, Mineta had torn away the poster, blood dripping down from his nose.
"Then you'll have to lock me up in solitary confinement because you can't stop me!" He leaned his head forward, drooling at the mere idea of what lay beyond. But he failed to see the dark static in the air. "I wanna see - ack!"
The wall split slightly as a single fist slammed over the hole, sparks of green energy rippling from the knuckle. Every boy felt their bodies clench when Izuku let out a long-winded breath. "We've just been through a traumatic day, we had our lives on the line, our friends put themselves in harm's way to survive, Ciana... has gone through enough," He glowered down at Mineta who was now trembling from something other than ecstasy. "Leave. Them. Alone."
"But we-" Mineta froze when Izuku glared down at him.
"I don't care what sick reason you have, don't insult the girls, or Ciana, got it?" Izuku warned him in a firm, deep voice.
"Y-Y-Yes s-s-sir," He quickly scampered back to his locker in defeat as all the boys relaxed instantly, and Izuku rubbed his face.
"S-sorry, I really just... h-have a lot on my mind," He admitted as Iida patted his shoulder.
"You did right, Midoriya - Sero, would you mind patching this hole up for us, I'll go inform Aizawa about this soon,"
"Uh, sure thing," He quickly made his way over to apply his tape while Izuku returned to getting changed.
Ciana still wasn't looking at the girls as she had her legs exposed and had her dirty pants off now, grabbing her shorts out of her locker next as she sets them down on the bench. Still not looking at the others while they were changing or staying just talking, strangely Ciana heard a little noise on the other side of the wall… perking her head up a little confused.
"Hey… did any of you hear something just now?" She asks her friends while glancing around after the noise, revealing she's in her undies and bra while holding her shirt over her chest. "I thought I heard someone yelling…"
Jiro, the super-hearing girl, had an even more bemused face that slowly curled into a tiny smile. "Well, a little perv just got put in his place by Midoriya, so I'd say it was a good noise, little runt tried to sneak a peek," Jiro extended her left jack, tapping the wall where a small hole could be found, had it not been pointed out they'd have missed it. "Sero got asked to use his tape to cover it for now while Iida said he'll speak to Mr Aizawa about this, hah, God I wish I could see the look on that runt's face right now..."
"That little pervert!" Hagakure growled.
"I swear, one of these days he's going to be expelled for his actions," Yaoyorozu scoffed at the indecency.
"Gotta admit, didn't expect Midoriya to be the one to crank down on him, I'm impressed," Ashido chuckled.
Ciana flushed red at the idea of someone, especially the pervy kid peeking in on their privacy, he's definitely more creepy than she thought. "No way, there's a hole in the wall and the kid tried to peek? What a sicko!" Ciana said in disgust, approaching the wall to see where it is.
Though hearing Izuku put the kid in his place had her very surprised as her eyes widened toward her friends. "Really? I-Izuku stopped him? That's… really surprising, he's usually the type to feel too awkward to get involved in that kind of stuff, even to yell at someone to stop that kind of behavior…" It really stunned her because Izuku is too kind and innocent to show much anger toward someone even when he notices they are doing something dirty.
"Perhaps being around a cute girl all the time's got him feeling more confident, hehehe," Ashido grinned cheekily.
"Midoriya's shy, sure, but his heart's in the right place all the time so it really seems like something he'd interfere with when the situation calls for it," Uraraka reinforced, happy her friend stepped in when he did.
Izuku sure surprises her in so many ways, she smiled more with a blush on her cheeks. "Yeah… he really is the kind of guy you can rely on… when I first met him he was so shy, but now I noticed he's become less anxious when it comes to being around girls. He didn't hang out with many before." Ciana now turned to Uraraka as her smile stayed.
"Meeting you has also helped Izuku become more confident Uraraka, I'm glad Izuku met you because you helped him make him feel more like a hero like he always wanted." She expresses happily knowing he has more friends now he can look up to.
"Ah hah, really? I mean, it's always you he admires," Uraraka rubbed the back of her head bashfully. "Sure, he's a great guy and all but anytime it came to someone he could rely on, you were the one he'd look to without question, so I think if anyone makes him more like a hero, it's definitely you,"
"I can second that, his heart rate goes all over the place," Jiro chimed in as she packed up her costume, now wearing her casual clothes.
Ciana blushed more at what her friends were saying, Shyly she smiled and looked down to try and hide it. "I-it's not really m-me he looks up to… All Might is the one Izuku truly admires and inspired him to become a hero." She smiled sharing this but they probably already knew about that. "When I first came to this world I was being chased by some thugs when I arrived… but then I ran into Izuku who saved me from being caught by them." Her smile rose at the memory.
"It was pretty scary for me at first finding out where I was, but without him I wouldn't be here now… I have a lot to owe him for that, I haven't left his side since then." Ciana blushes a bit more pink in a happy manner, even her heart picked up talking about him.
The girls, of course, cooed at the adorable and chivalrous act that led to Ciana meeting the fanboy greenette. Though now they had many more questions for the boy later at the dorms. Those left quickly changed and gathered their costumes that needed repairs, leaving to both report what happened and to finally ease up after the events that unfolded today. All of them, no matter how relieved they were, they couldn't shake the tension in their bodies. What occurred at the USJ would linger in their minds, and the course of the afternoon would ripple for months to come.
[Transition]
The class headed back to their dorms for the night, most returning to their families for two days starting tomorrow. Everyone was exhausted so dinner was about the only eventful occasion before most headed off to sleep and try to forget what happened today. Most did the odd hobby to distract themselves, though thankfully UA was open to offering counselling to those that felt a little shaken up by the USJ Incident.
Izuku sat in his room, staring up at his ceiling while a bedside clock ticked by. He held up his phone, scrolling down page after page concerning today, already, the news spread like wildfire, with his mother talking his ear off for most of the afternoon left, but she was happy he was safe. Neglecting to mention having a man break his arm like a toothpick with their tail. But his thoughts lingered on Ciana.
Everyone knew and asked her numerous questions, to which she answered to the best of her ability or opted to avoid and wait until she was well rested. Out of everyone, Izuku was really worried about her mental health. She not only was nearly kidnapped, but the idea of her quirk directly correlating to Meru Zena's, and the unknown of what she could become with it clearly frightened her. "Maybe I should go over...?" He murmured, wanting to help but not knowing how best to approach the subject.
Ciana was in her room sitting at her desk as she was writing away in her notebook, her arm plopped down on the hardwood while using it to hold her face up as she thought over everything that happened. "So… I came to this world because I was meant to be used for an evil plot for a villain to plan… I have no idea how to take that all in!" She thinks out loud, leaning back in her chair now.
"That doesn't make much sense… I mean if he was looking for someone to use why couldn't he just use another quirkless person in this world? Are they really rare to come by here?" Ciana narrowed her brows. "I still don't get what makes me so special… unless he thought I was willing knowing my mom is dead…" now another thought came to her as she stared at the ceiling. "Izuku was willing to go far to hurt himself to make sure I was safe… if he broke his arm to do that… how far would he go next time for me…?" The idea already terrified her as her fear began to show in her eyes.
"H-he hasn't even mastered his power yet… that guy might come back for me any day or any night now… I-I can't lead Izuku to get hurt because of me…" her arms plopped on her desk as she holds her face up with both her hands, shaking up a bit. "What do I do? Last thing I want is to be responsible for someone's death, especially Izuku…"
"So I'll say this only once. Will you aid us? If so, no harm will come to you or your friends, no one will die, and you can return to your world again, that is why you've been fighting all this time, right?" He cocked his head a little.
Meru's words echoed in Ciana's head, and she hid her head behind her arms, unable to piece a clear answer. She had the support of her friends, teachers, and mentor, but what would it matter if Meru Zena came for her and succeeded? What then? How many would be hurt because of that?
As her thoughts drowned her heart, a soft knock at the door pulled her head upright. "Ciana? It's me?" Izuku's voice softened her nerves but tightened like a snake around her heart. She silently approached the door, opening it to the hallway and to her partner who gave a small, awkward smile. "I-I, uh, wanted to check up on y-you, now that... i-it's just us,"
"Oh, hey Izuku." She brought a small smile back as she opened her door wider, letting him step in the room if he wanted. "Sorry I hope I didn't worry you, I thought you wanted to be alone after everything that's happened."
"I'm still processing most of what happened, but... I can check up on my g-girlfriend, right?" He asked meekly, stepping into her room.
Ciana chuckles a little the way he brought up calling her his girlfriend shyly, he still wasn't used to a relationship which was cute… now closing the door once he was inside. "There's nothing wrong with that." She responds, now facing him with her arms behind her back. "Oh since you're here I wanted to thank you for stopping that pervy kid before from peeping on us in the change rooms…" she surprisingly brings up with a wide smile. "I heard you gave the guy quite a scare too…" she giggles just mentioning that part.
"I-I really don't know what came over me," Izuku murmured with a frown. "Something just... bothered me when he was about to start rambling about the girls, and-and I guess I'm still really annoyed by what he said about you days ago, t-that and it was rude and borderline sexual harassment but I'm sure Mr Aizawa will tear into Mineta far more than I-I did," Though if Izuku was honest with himself, he wished he berated Mineta further but what he said did the trick.
She smiled more at this and blushed a little. "Well whatever the reason we all were grateful for your heroic act…" she giggles again. "I admit it surprised me a bit that you stepped in to stop him, usually you feel too awkward to get involved with anyone doing something like that, but… it's sweet you thought of me that made you have the courage to step up to do that…" Ciana's smile became more warm, now shyly playing with her hair, feeling special he made a acceptation for her.
"Like I said b-before... he's blind... n-not seeing how beautiful you are," Izuku whispered, averting his eyes with heat rising to his face.
Now that comment really made her blush darker, her heart racing again knowing how he felt about her brought a bright smile to her. "I-it's understandable why he thinks I am too bland… b-but I'm really happy you see me more than that…" since his gaze was away, she took that opportunity to kiss his cheek…
Izuku smiled stupidly at that sensation, and raised his head to move closer to embrace Ciana gently, maybe it wasn't just for her, maybe he just needed to know she was still really here, he failed, down an arm and couldn't do a thing to help her when she was taken."She probably blames herself for me getting hurt again, I have to improve, as fast as possible," His arms tensed around her back. "...I'll get strong enough... so you'll never have to worry about me, I'll always win, and save everyone, I promise."
Ciana was a little surprised by the embrace but she immediately melted into it as her head laid on his chest, Ciana perked up when he predicted what she was thinking. Giving off a sad smile as her gaze looked down. "I believe you will… I always did, But…" Her arms wrapped around him now. "I don't want you to do something rash like that again… even for my sake, I don't want you to break your bones because of me… or worse…" she shut her eyes tightly at that, not wanting to lose someone else she came to love…
"I'll do everything I can to keep that promise," He smiled to himself, staring straight ahead. "...because it means you get to smile genuinely more. I... don't know if you'll still be here, if... you return home at some point, o-or..." He swallowed the lump in his throat. "But I'll treasure every moment with you,"
Ciana opened her eyes as she was surprised to notice Izuku was uncomfortable by the idea of her leaving… her gaze looked up at him as she frowned sadly at that. "Izuku…" staring up at him for a few moments, she lowered her head back down to nuzzle her head against his chest. "I'm not going anywhere… not for a while." She smiled, closing her eyes to take in the embrace.
"At first I did want to go home… more than anything, but… the more days I spend here… the more I realize how happy I am when I'm here." She smiled more saying that. "I'm a student at this school after all, I can't just leave without getting a proper education first…" she giggled. "And besides, if I ever do decide to go home. I want to figure out how I can come back before I do…"
"You... would?" He sounded almost breathless, clutching her back tightly. "B-but w-what if you ca-" Her fingers reached up to tap his lips, keeping him from saying any alternative.
"That's my decision to make when the time comes… but one thing I know for sure is that I don't want to leave your side." She smiled and eyed him full of warmth and love in her eyes, him being the real reason she wouldn't just take off now.
Then and there Izuku realized for the second time how hard and fast he was falling. He moved his hands to hold her shoulders, staring deep into her eyes. She had no idea how she'd find a way to move between worlds, but she was honest and firm on that belief. If she could be brought to this world, and that others can travel between the two, then out there somewhere was a solution. Izuku felt his eyelids fall slightly, there was barely a gap between them as he lightly kissed her lips to express what he couldn't say.
Once he closed the gap, Ciana's eyes fully closed as her own arms went behind his neck to hold him in place… she could feel the warmth firing up inside her as well as her heart racing the second they kissed. Already she forgot her worries and is more focused on the boy she fell hard for the moment she arrived into this world…
This time, Izuku leaned back just shortly after parting, pushing a little more to completely forget everything that had happened today, he just wanted to spend as much time with Ciana as possible, running his right hand through her long, raven hair while his left move to cup her warm cheek.
Ciana felt her own heart becoming louder the way Izuku was showing his love for her… she was caught in a trance from the feeling of his lips and hand on her cheek. Ciana leaned her face into his hand as she used her own to caress his own beautiful face, humming happily the way he was even stroking her hair with his other hand. Ciana never felt so warm and happy inside…
Eventually, they had to separate to breathe, leaving them panting softly so close to each other's scarlet faces, neither taking their eyes off one another as they sat on the edge of Ciana's bed, with Ciana leaned her head against his shoulder and his sat atop hers peacefully. Izuku couldn't believe how he did that without falling apart, then again, having someone as affectionate as Ciana as his partner was probably a step up in the confidence department.
Ciana couldn't believe how drawn she was to Izuku to do something like that… it felt like her heart was guiding her how to be closer to him… Cianas eyes closed and smiled silently, like before she took in the feeling of being so close to one another… her hand placed down on his, her head snuggling more into his shoulder as her heart still felt it was soon ready to burst.
"...hey, Ciana?" Izuku murmured softly.
"Hm?" She didn't look but squeezed his hand to let him know she was listening.
"It's a bit overdue, but... do you want to come with me to see my Mom tomorrow?" He suggested since he promised her what felt like ages ago to do so.
Ciana was pretty surprised by the question, her eyes opening back up just so she can lift her head to meet his eyes. "R-really? I-I mean of course!" She looked pretty happy by the idea as she smiled wider. "I thought you would never ask… I have been wanting to meet you mom for a long time."
"Then I-I'll let her know beforehand tomorrow," Izuku replied. "Just have to get through how I'm going to explain that the mysterious friend I've had for over half a year is not only a girl but said girl seems to want to date me of all people, hahaha..." He now realized how screwed he was. "...I can't back out of this, can I?" He gulped, face dropping in dismay.
She glared at him a little after that… narrowing her eyes at him. "Too late now… is it really that embarrassing to introduce me to your mom Izuku?" She asked with her arms crossed now as and one brow raised higher.
"...absolutely," He replied shortly after. "I-I mean, this is my mom we're talking about, she's... well, I know I can be emotional but when she learns I have not just a friend who happens to be a girl but a girlfriend she probably won't stop crying tears of joy for at least half an hour," Then his expression soured. "Plus I've never really let her in on anything about my social life, so..."
"It's no wonder she would be that teary eyed then…" she rolled her eyes playfully. "But I can understand why you don't say much after hearing what went on before you met me…" At least she didn't take this too personal. "Honestly if I introduced you to my dad about now, he would question your green hair…" She giggled, remembering she thought it was dyed at first.
"I just... wanted you to myself, I guess for a little longer," Izuku admitted, his face pulled in an awkward expression.
Ciana… was very taken back by that sudden response, blushing very red with wide eyes now as her eyes landed back on him, staring at him a little longer before a big smile came to her face. What she did next might be a shock to him because Ciana suddenly pounced on him to have Izuku lay on his back on the bed with her on top… laughing as she laid her head on his chest as well as her body pressed on top of him now while still smiling and even laughing. "If you really wanted me that much to yourself then all you had to do was say so…" she playfully says with a chuckle, wrapping her arms around his body.
The sudden shift made Izuku's head spin as his heart practically burst from how easily Ciana got the best of him, and that look of hers, if only brief, was full of mirth, especially her smirk and little laugh,... it was really cute. He didn't refuse, slowly wrapping his arms around her waist to hug her tightly. "Mm," Was all he could manage, closing his eyes to enjoy the warmth coursing to every inch of his body. It was so easy to tell apart the sensations of OFA, Aura, and simply Ciana. The third made him feel he hadn't a care in the world.
Ciana smiled more as she snuggled into his embrace on her bed, this new position made her feel more warm and loved in his arms… she could get used to this… her heart once again began to pick up, her head lifting up a little to eye his face. Ciana was kinda surprised Izuku didn't look too flustered about what she did but more like he was enjoying this as much as she was… which made her cheeks turn pink and her smile becoming more warmer. "Hey Izuku, I meant to ask…" her gaze now looking down. "…Did Bakugo happen to say anything about me after hearing who I truly am…?"
Opening his eyes to stare into hers in the dimly lit room, a lampshade by her desk the only source, he shook his head. "No, he just looked like he always does, a scowl and all, he didn't even seem interested in what the guys were asking me about before Kirishima stepped in," The longer they remained at UA, the stranger Katsuki became to Izuku, or had he just not seen it before.
That only caused her to frown, predicting what he thought of her now. "I see…" she responded sadly, knowing how Bakugo feels about quirkless people. "I guess I shouldn't be too surprised… he probably thinks I'm more of a freak and a blank now…" she mumbled.
"I wouldn't think so..." Izuku's remark drew her eyes again. "I mean, he only thinks I'm lying because there's no real proof. But with you, he's seen that you do have a quirk and where it originated from. But, if you're talking about how your world lacks quirks well... I guess that's his problem, really, I'm sorry, I'm not sure how he'd react if and when he'll speak to you," Izuku really didn't have an answer concerning Katsuki's thoughts on the subject, or on many things.
She sighed, thinking she lost her chance to try and befriend him now… Ciana decided to accept however he feels about her now whether as an equal or a quirkless freak. "I guess I'll give him some distance for a while… he might be mad I wasn't truthful to him anyways…" Ciana does though recall Bakugo was trying to fight Meru Zena off, though she wasn't sure if he was trying to save her or just wanted to take another villain down. "I should at least try and thank the other guys for trying to help me… Todoroki and Kirishima didn't have to step in but I'm grateful they tried to help me too… I actually haven't got to know Todoroki much since he's usually so quiet, which is why I want to thank him for trying to help me."
"I haven't really talked with him either, only when we were helping All Might," Though Izuku wasn't going to judge, he knew what it was like to try and keep to yourself. Focusing back on the amazing girl on his chest, he smiled a little. "Do you want to stay like this a little longer?"
Ciana did smile more in response as she held him tighter. "I don't mind if we do…" though suddenly she might have heard a noise on the other side of her door… almost sounding like a giggle, which caused her to sit up in alarm, narrowing her eyes. "Wait a second…" now getting off Izuku… Ciana quietly stepped to her doorway, reaching her toward her handle quietly… now turning it to quickly open it as she now spots Ashido who was leaning against her door….
"Ah haha, hey there, Finley, how's uh... how's it going tonight? Good?" The pink girl grinned toothily but Ciana wore a flat expression, not at all impressed. "Sooo... I'll just, uh, be going - oh who am I kidding, Midoriya's totally in there, lemme in, lemme iiin, I wanna know the deets, girl, come ooon~!" She dropped her act and went to begging. "You two are like the only ones that have the tells of a romantic couple, I can tell!"
Ciana should've guessed the girl would be spying now, as much as she finds her personality really funny, Ciana didn't want their privacy to keep getting pry on. Ciana blushed incredibly red in embarrassment as she tried to close the door to avoid her peeking. "I-Izuku went to bed! W-why would he come over here when he can't handle the idea of being in a girls room…?" She tried to come up with an excuse.
"Okay, first, bad acting, but yeah, that does seem like something Midoriya would be timid about," Ashido chuckled then glanced around herself before dropping to a lax smile. "Look, I just heard you guys talking about Bakugo, guessing how he'll take knowing you're from a world that's 'quirkless', that's about it really, you should invest in soundproofing like Jiro," She suggested.
Then, she gave Ciana's shoulder a supportive squeeze, "Still, it's nice seeing you give a real smile again, I think only me and Jiro could see through it, so if Midoriya sneaking in to spend some time with you works, more power to you!" Ashido giggled, then winked. "You've definitely got a keeper, seeya tomorrow," With a chipper wave, Ashido skipped away with a hum.
Ciana had no idea what to say after that, watching as Ashido now skipped down the hall in silence. Her face became incredibly red as she now closed her door quietly… slowly her head turns to face Izuku again with a sheepish smile. "I… guess secrets finally out…" she had no idea what else to say as she felt incredibly embarrassed.
"O-oh, g-guess we aren't that good at t-this..." Izuku scratched his head bashfully. "I-I mean, if it's only A-Ashido s-she did say to me s-she wouldn't say anything... except to the girls," Then he face palmed. "Oh God, we're screwed..."
"Tell me about it…" she does the same, face palming herself. But after a few moments… Ciana began to laugh. "I think the girls basically knew I really liked you anyways judging how they reacted when I talked about you in the change rooms…" she admitted. "But what I'm more worried about most is Mineta and Kaminari bothering you about us."
"I-I can handle them, just so long a-as one of them doesn't mouth off about you..." Izuku grumbled as he approached her at the door. "Though f-for now I think I should go to my room, j-just encase someone else wants to eavesdrop on us," He sighed, feeling like no matter how much they wanted to spend time together something got in the way.
"That's dorm life for ya." Ciana responds playfully, but also kinda bummed they can't get much privacy. "Alright, I'd rather not embarrass you with anymore gossip that might get around… maybe we can try going into the woods again next time…" she mostly jokes, giggling after that.
"...or a d-date..." Izuku half muttered in private to himself, and half suggested to Ciana. "On our second day off, o-or maybe next weekend, w-we could... go out somewhere?"
Ciana perked up at the idea, blushing pink shyly as she now had her arms behind her back with a smile coming up. "R-really? I-I would really like that actually…" she looks away to try and hide her pink and shy smile. "We haven't really gone out to do much since we attended UA."
"Th-then we'll do that," Izuku smiled shyly, shuffling toward the door. "I... guess I'll see you tomorrow? I'm t-thinking we should leave before noon, is that okay?"
She eyed him again, smiling and nodding in response. "Yeah, sounds perfect. I can't wait until then." Ciana secretly squealed on inside, already looking forward to spending more time with him. "Until then… have a good night." With that, she leans up to kiss his cheek.
"G-goodnight, Ciana," Izuku stuttered, then quickly looked around the edges of the hallway, no sign of prying eyes or objects being used to view them. Quickly, before Ciana could close her door, Izuku moved closer to kiss her back, leaving with a sweet smile. "Rest well,"
Soon, he made his way to the stairs leading down to his floor, feeling more awake than ever before, the fatigue of today washing away.
Cianas heart raced the moment he kissed her, once he separated she smiled and waved to him before closing her door. Once she did… Ciana let out a happy squeal after that, feeling so giddy and happy whenever she's with Izuku like that… Ciana even forgot about her worries before, once she was dressed in her nightclothes which were a tank top and short sweatpants, Ciana slipped into her bed to sleep away with a smile on her face. But… it doesn't last long…
As Ciana was asleep in her room, her sleep didn't end up being pleasant… Ciana started to tremble and even sweat as her head was tossing and turning. "Izuku…" Ciana whispered his name.
In her dream she saw herself being somewhere dark, the man known as Meru Zena appeared once again. This time Izuku was in it too… Izuku stood in front of her to shield her from the man… Ciana stood in fear as she tried to stop him. "Izuku stay away from him! he's too strong!" But Izuku did not listen… he was in his power up One For All stage as he was trying to fight off Meru Zena… but he only laughed as they fought, in the end Izuku ended up badly injured as he now laid unconscious…
horrified by this, Ciana screamed out his name "Izuku!" Now she tried to run to his aid, only to be grabbed by Meru Zena… "This is all your fault, your only leading him to a terrible fate…" Ciana cried as she looked at Izuku's unconscious injured state, trying to reach back out to him as she kept calling his name. "Izuku! please open your eyes!" The pathetic state only made Meru Zena smirk wider, her gaze turning back to meet his demonic eyes as his other hand reached out to take hold of her…
This is when Ciana shot up awake as tears streamed from her eyes. "Izuku!" She yelled, but once her eyes opened up she could see she was still in her room and still nightfall. "A-another dream…" she panted, hand on her heart as she tried to calm herself. Now looking down at her lap as she recalled her dream… "Izuku… h-he tried to protect me, is he… will he…?" Ciana couldn't help but be worried for him already if he's being targeted too… getting up, Ciana reaches for her door handle, but then pauses when she realizes something. "Wait… if I go to him like this, the others might hear me knocking on his door. He is in the boys area… and who knows if Ashido will spot me if she hears me step out…"
Thinking it over… This might be a creepy idea, but… recalling her dream, Ciana couldn't help but worry… Turning to her new direction to her balcony, Ciana opened her door to step outside. Looking around, Ciana suddenly powers up her quirk… remembering what Izuku did, Ciana memorized where Izuku's balcony was as she leaped right onto his, using the other balconies to leap across to reach Izuku's.
Once she made a quiet stop, Ciana powered down. "I-I really hope Izuku doesnt find me creepy for doing this… but I want to make sure he's okay…" Taking a deep breath, Ciana checks to see if his balcony door was still open… turned out it was. "Huh… he really should remember to lock up more…" Quietly she peeks in now, stepping in as she closes it quietly. Now looking over to Izuku who was fast asleep in his bed, she couldn't help but smile how cute he looked… Ciana blushed pretty embarrassingly as she stepped before him, crouching down to about his level.
"He's alright, thank goodness… I knew this was a stupid idea!" Ciana scolds herself, though now that she's here… Ciana was afraid to go back to her room when she could continue her nightmares of something happening to him… She sighed as she made a bold decision. "Please don't think I'm a creep for this…"
Gazing back at Izuku, quietly but lightly she reached her hand out to gently shake him. "Izuku… wake up, Izuku?" She whispered a bit loudly.
Izuku's face scrunched up as he stirred, cracking his eyes open in the moonlight to find someone had shook him lightly, "Huh...?" He blinked, processing their image. Female. Black hair. Green eyes. Familiar voice - his tired state vanished as he shot up in his bed, eyes wide as his body trembled with heat. "C-c-ciana!? H-how are you - when did - I uh-" Her hand covered his mouth, tapping a finger to her lips. Slowly, she let her hand slip. "...why are you in my room - did... did you climb using the balconies? You had to at least wrap around the building to... Ciana..." He sighed her name at the end, though it was out of concern for her.
"I got here using my quirk like what you did to get back here…" she whispered, then rubbed the back of her head embarrassingly as she looked down. "I'm sorry, this is… probably really creepy of me to just suddenly come here like this… I would have used the door but… I was afraid someone would have heard or saw me come here…" she admits with her cheeks turning more red. "I-I had another bad dream and… I-I just…" she looked away now, her expression now looked almost scared. "I-I wanted to make sure you were alright…"
By now, Izuku had sat up entirely, holding her biceps to gently rub them. "Hey, I'm okay, nothing's wrong," He reassured her softly. "Ciana, no matter what if something comes up that you think is bad I'm won't mind you coming to me, even if that meant more people potentially find out about us, I don't care, not if it jeopardizes your safety,"
Ciana was very relieved that Izuku didn't think she was weird for coming to his room like this… exhaling as she went to hug him. "O-okay… I-I'm glad to know it's alright of me." She says, looking up at him with a small smile now. "Sorry to have woken you anyways… I'm relieved you're alright, I-I thought maybe you were being targeted too…"
"We're safe at UA, the only reason the villains broke in was due to that warp guy, Kurogiri, it'll be okay," He held her gingerly, rubbing her back in slow circles.
"I-I know they just wanted All Might, I-I meant…" she sighed, holding him more tighter. "I think Meru Zena was sending out a threat towards me… but maybe more directly towards you…"
"Why do you think he wants me? N-not that I like the fact you're his target, but still," He asked.
She frowned in response in silence for a few moments, shuttering her eyes tightly to avoid possible tears. "H-he… he said I was… leading you to a terrible fate if you keep staying with me…"
"Ciana... look at me," He pulled her back a bit so that he could view her completely, his face dead serious. "He's strong, very strong, but I won't let that happen, something like this isn't set in stone, and since we were both together, we have a better chance at changing that threat of his against him. This was a dream that he created, I know that we can alter whatever comes our way, it sounds stupid, maybe I'm just blowing hot air most of the time, but this… this I'm certain we can change," He offered her a confident grin, not a shred of fear in his eyes.
She stared up into his eyes as she processed his words, it's true that it's his dream created and knew he was trying to scare her, but Ciana still had some concern in her eyes as it wandered to his arm. "But…" Ciana remembered the times he broke his fingers and his arm, it could be what he was trying to show her. "Y-your… you still get severely hurt when you power yourself up…" she whispered out, her gaze now looking down…
"Right now, I can move around with about five percent, eight is when I start to straight, and the absolute limit is ten if we combine the Breathing Technique," He really didn't want to worry her, but what could he do? Exhaling slowly, he held her hands. "Listen, I... can't always keep my body from being injured, that's not possible, but I can prevent my bones from becoming broken, I just need to practice at the limits I have now, eventually, my body will adjust and I can increase my output, but I need you to trust me, I don't want to worry you but I can't force myself to remain in constant safety margins otherwise... I'll never be a close match to Meru Zena, and... I don't really want to think about what ifs concerning that..." He looked down, hopefully, he didn't come off as apathetic to her worries, but he had to say it less it caused worse issues down the line.
Ciana didn't know what to say or think after knowing what his power could do to him, She knew Izuku was willing to go far to stop him from harming her… he probably would even sacrifice himself for her to get away alive… that thought terrified Ciana, now with her tears starting to appear. Ciana immediately threw herself in his arms as she buried her face into his chest, trying her best to hold back her sobs as she held him. "I-I just don't want you to push yourself hard to make sure I'm okay… I don't want you to go that far for me… it wouldn't be worth it if I knew you died because of me…"
She... was afraid he'd die protecting her. In a way, that was the truest sense of a hero, wasn't it? Though, the impact that death would have on the people around Izuku... he couldn't bare to put anyone through that, not now or ever. Holding her tightly, he stared at the dark skies beyond his balcony. "That's why we're a team, isn't it? Neither of us will let the other die," He whispered, stroking her head as he leaned against his headboard, allowing Ciana to rest against his chest as he closed his eyes, placing his chin atop her head. "I won't die, neither will you, we'll survive together."
Ciana gladly laid in his arms as her tears continued to stream down her face, her head laid silently against his chest and held him tighter in response. Nodding her head at his words as she stayed where she was, Ciana was still scared at the possibility Izuku would die for her… but the only thing she can do is get stronger and look out for him the best she could, right now she doesn't want to leave him… Ciana didn't even make a move to leave, the stroking of her head had her calm down little by little…
Without really thinking about it, the cool night air and the exhausting battle with the new League of Villains and Meru Zena had finally taken their toll as both teens fell asleep in each other's arms, not once plagued by twisted dreams.
