Chapter 10: The First Order Strikes
Author's Note: Thank you to all the followers who are still reading this story or waiting for an update, I know its been a couple of weeks, okay a month perhaps but ALOT has happened and RL has been messing with my creativity with many stories, hopefully I'll get back on track soon but I wanted to get this chapter out there
Author's Note - I'm mixing canon and AU. The character Miramir is Rey's mother and here in this story, she is Obi Wan and Satine's daughter and so Rey is a Kenobi in this story
Anakin was struggling to sleep and tonight it wasn't because he was being plagued by more nightmares of Palpatine. He was thinking about the Resistance and the First Order. He couldn't bear to put his family through what they went through with the Empire. Luke, Leia and Keely saw things he never wanted them to ever see and he didn't want to put Henry, Ben and Rey through any of that. Anakin quietly left the quarters he was sharing with Padme and headed outside where he was startled to find that he wasn't the only one awake.
"Leia?" He asks seeing his daughter sitting by herself idly staring up at the stars before she turns to see him approaching "Is everything alright?" He asks worry in his voice taking a seat beside her as Leia rests her head against his shoulder. "Just thinking about what Admiral Stature said as well as Senator Sella. If there is a First Order building, it makes me afraid for what it will do to the galaxy again" she says adding "Ben's only seven. He deserves to have a normal life, a life without living in fear" she admits feeling her father gently squeeze her shoulder.
He looks down at his daughter "And he will. Ben is strong and he has all his family looking out for him. We'll stop this first order before they can take over the galaxy as did the Empire" he says as Leia sighs and he saw her brown eyes looking up at him. "Sometimes I think about uncle Obi Wan and what it would be like if he was alive" she says as Anakin looks down at her smiling.
"I remember the first time after the Empire rose when your mother and I reached out to him for his help. After you had been taken by the bandits" he says "Obi Wan had been reluctant to come out of hiding" he says
Flashback….21 years ago…
The twin suns were blistering down on Obi Wan and Satine as they moved through the desert once more after another long day. Their young daughter walking alongside them all three with their hoods up. Satine looked over at her husband, who was still thinking about his friends Anakin and Padme who had reached out for his help after one of their twins had been taken and Obi Wan had turned them down refusing to come out of hiding and suggested possibly bounty hunters to help them.
"Are you sure you made the right choice Obi?" Satine asks her in her soft voice as Obi Wan looks over at her taking her hand in his. "I'm worried for Leia too Satine however I know Anakin will think of something and I can continue to protect you and our daughter" he says seeing her smile up at him just as they neared their cave once more right as their droid sensor popped up. However instead of flashing blue to indicate it was safe once more, it was flashing red, meaning danger.
Obi Wan stops Satine. "Satine, stay here with Miramir, Something's not right" he says taking out his staff and moving towards their cave entrance as Satine watches him before she leads her daughter out of the sun's heat.
Obi Wan entered the cave cautiously and alert as he stepped forward into the cave. He hadn't used the force in 10 years and he dared not use it again for fear of who the intruder could be. He moves deeper into the cave before he stops and sees the hooded figure standing meters before them. "I'm unarmed" they spoke as Obi Wan immediately recognised the voice as figure turns towards him pushing back their hood. "Brother" they smiled as Obi Wan saw his short blond hair, now slightly longer and dressed in plain robes a vast difference from his usual black robes he had worn back in the day
"Anakin" Obi Wan breathes as Anakin smiles "Surprised to see me brother?" He asks before he moves over to embrace him. "Anakin, you shouldn't have come here and left Padme and Luke alone. You know my answer" he says as Anakin smirks "Who says I came alone?" He asks tilting his head "Padme and Luke are on the ship. I came to speak with you in person Obi Wan" he says giving him a small smile
"Please, she's only ten and I can't trust a bounty hunter to find her. I know her uncle Obi Wan will find and bring her back home" he says going on "We managed to find out that they're heading for Diu. They're using a smuggling route" he says
Obi Wan looks over at him "Anakin, I can't" he says before he sees Anakin's eyes fill with tears "She's my daughter!" He cries his anger slightly raising his voice before he lowers his head "I'm sorry" he quickly says as Obi Wan moves forward towards him.
"Anakin, I wish I could help but I can't leave Satine and Miramir here" he says as Anakin then speaks up "I'll watch over them. They'll come back with Padme and I with Luke and then when you rescue Leia you'll meet up with us" he says as Obi Wan is silent for a moment before he smirks "I'll bring her home Anakin" he promises before the two shared a long awaited friendly hug together
End of flashback
Leia smiles up at her father as she listens to him retell the story. "I remember when Obi Wan found me on Diu. He came into the dark room and I attacked him and tried to run away" she chuckles as she remembered her adventure with him "He saved me many times during our adventure" she explains as Anakin chuckles squeezing her shoulder "Yes he did. He also said how similar you were to how I acted when I was his padawan" he points out seeing her softly smile
"I believe he said he said fiery and passionate" she says as Anakin chuckles looking down at her "Definitely my daughter" he says before he sighs before he looks up to the stars "Something I wonder what Obi Wan would do if he were here" he admits "I'll admit he'd know exactly what to say to these Resistance leaders" he says as Leia looks over at him.
"Uncle Obi Wan would be very proud of you dad" she says as he looks down at her smiling as she grins "Although he'd probably be surprised at seeing you as a grandfather" she says as Anakin chuckles "Sometimes I wish I could find Miramir and see where she is. Something tells me there is a little Kenobi running around out there" he says as Leia nods "Perhaps one day you will" she says as they continued to watch the stars shining in the sky, not realising just how close a Kenobi really was to their family.
Ben smirks as he watches Rey sitting in his aunt Keely's lap as she sits silently in the courtyard with Grogu mediating although Grogu was now interested in the small creatures around them. Rey giggles as she sees one of the butterflies landing on his hand and watches him raise his hand staring intently at the small butterfly before he moves to eat it right as Keely then opens her eyes. She sighs as she sees him about to eat the butterfly "Grogu" she simply says as Rey giggles right as Keely lifts her up from her lap as she stands up herself.
"I think that's enough medicating for today" she tells them lifting Grogu into her arms. "How about we do some force exercises" she says right as Ben rushes over towards them "Can I join in too?" He asks as Keely smiles "Of course you can" she says before she looks over at a pile of rocks nearby. "Ben, Rey, I want you to focus on lifting those piles of rocks there" she says as Ben grins "Too easy aunt Keely" he says as Rey looks up at her unsure
"Are you sure I can do this?" She asks softly as Keely kneels beside her giving her a small smile. "I know it may seem like you can't do it. I felt the same way when my dad asked me to do the same thing but remember what I said about the force. It surrounds us, penetrates us and binds us" she explains. "My father and brother taught me how to use the force to my strengths which lead to me discovering the ability to feel other's emotions" she tells them. Ben looks over at his aunt before he tilts his head.
"Is that how you can sense when I'm feeling scared when dad or grandpa's angry with me?" He asks as Keely laughs "That's half correct" she grins "It's also because you run away and hide and that's when I can feel that you're scared" she says as Rey giggles just as Grogu becomes distracted once more with a small frog that had leapt out of the small pond beside him.
Keely then looks down placing her hands on her hips. "Grogu" she sighs once more seeing him with the frog in his hand before he looks up at him just as she bends down to pick him up as Ben looks over at his aunt. "Why does he do that?" He asks as Keely shrug "He's probably hungry. I don't know much about his species and he appears to eat anything" she says as Grogu tilts his head looking up at her as she looks down at Ben and Rey.
"Show me how you can lift those rocks" she says just as Ben closes his eyes stretching out his small hands as Keely watched two rocks begin to lift out off the ground as she noticed a third start to lift off the ground. She looks down to see little Rey with one hand stretched out in front of her. "You're doing it Rey" she whispers as Grogu smiles happily just as Henry and Ahsoka came out to the gardens.
"How was mediation?" Ahsoka asks as Keely turns to look over at them "Not sure Gorgu's into it but it's a start. Ben is showing how much he's come along so far and Rey is starting to believe in herself before she sighs "I just can't believe Luke trusts me to guide Grogu and Rey. I'm not a master yet just a big sister" she admits as Henry folds his arms across his chest "And even that's a questionable" he smirks as she rolls her eyes as Ahsoka goes on "It's a learning process. Your father was not ready for a padawan but I got through to him" she grins proudly making both Keely and Henry both laugh.
Ahsoka looked over at them both "Your father is proud of both of you, Luke and Leia. Some days I still can't believe that Skyguy's married, a father and a grandfather" she admits before she smirks "Although I always did think he and Padme were very much alike" she admits. Keely then looks over at Ahsoka.
"Ahsoka, what were my parents like?" She asks "When I was little, they didn't talk much about the Clone Wars" she says as Ahsoka nods. "The Clone Wars was hard for everyone and your parents spent much of the war apart from each other however any chance they were on a mission together, it was like they were the only two on the mission:
Flashback - Clone Wars, Naboo…
Anakin, Obi Wan and Ahsoka had successfully infiltrated Dr Nuvo Vindi's underground base and rescued Senator Amidala and Representative Binks. They had spilt up to go after the doctor and stop him from releasing the bombs.
Padme, Ahsoka and Rex were able to deactivate the bombs whilst Anakin and Obi Wan were able to capture the doctor before he could escape. Anakin then raised his com link to check in with Ahsoka "Ahsoka, are you there?" He asks as Ahsoka raises her com link to respond "I'm here, master, the bomb has been deactivated" she informs him "Did you find Vindi?" He asks as Anakin smirks
"Deactivated as well. Have you seen Padme?" He asks as Ahsoka tilts her head "She's right here next to me" she replies quickly adding "I'm okay too. Thanks for asking" as Padme lightly smiles shaking her head. It would appear that she was always on her husband's mind and the one he cared about the most.
End of flashback
Keely tilts her head smiling "Awe, how did they keep their marriage a secret?" She asks as Ahsoka shrugs "Well….to be honest, not the best because it wasn't hard to know where Anakin would go when he didn't need to be at the Temple" she points out as Henry shakes his head before he spies Ezra coming out of the forest and heads over towards him leaving Ahsoka and Keely together with Ben, Rey and Grogu.
The following morning, Han was prepping the falcon as Anakin, Padme and Leia all said their goodbyes to Admirals Ackbar and Statura. "Thank you for coming to see us once more Senators" Admiral Statura says as Padme and Leia both nod. "Admiral Ackbar spoke highly of you and having the Jedi protecting us, we could defeat the First Order before they had a chance to strike" he says as Padme nods, slipping a hand into Anakin's.
"Anakin and I will contact you once we've spoken with the rest of our family however I am certain they will be willing to help the Resistance" she assures them as Admiral Ackbar then spoke "We will be once again grateful for all the help" he says as Han comes down the landing ramp. "Alright, have we said our goodbyes?" He asks "The falcon is ready to head back to Yavin 4" he says as Leia nods moving over towards her husband "I'm looking forward to seeing our son again" she says giving him a soft kiss before Admiral Ackbar looks over at Han
"Good to see you again General Solo" he says as Han nods "Suppose I should see you around Admiral" he replies before he heads up the ramp with Leia with 3PO following them right as Padme and Anakin headed up the landing ramp before minutes later both Admirals watched the falcon lift off into the atmosphere.
However, it would appear as if someone else had been watching them and the minute the falcon left the planet's atmosphere, the hidden ship locked onto the falcon's coordinates right as the ship enters hyperspace. Han, Leia, Anakin and Padme had no idea the dangers they were about to face.
Rey watched once more as Ben continued to lift the small piles of rocks from one side of the pond to the other, only dropping one into the water. Rey looks over at him "You're really good" she says as Ben smirks looking back at his aunt and uncle Luke standing with Ahsoka and other uncle standing with Ezra.
"I've got some pretty good teachers" he says "It hasn't always been easy but you can do it too" he says moving over towards her. "Try it on that rock" he says pointing to the top rock on top of the pile he made. Rey looks up at him with her soft eyes "You think I can do it?" She asks as Ben smiles a comforting smile. "I know you can" he tells her before he sees her close her eyes and stretch out one of her hands. Her nose twitches as she focuses on the rocks. At first, the rock doesn't move as Ben looks over at her "Focus" he says seeing her hand shake lightly however she continues to focus and then Ben gasps as he sees the rock slowly lift up off the pile
"Rey" he breathes as she slowly opens an eye seeing the rock hovering there "I did it" she smiles as Ben grins placing a hand on her shoulder "See, you can do it" he says seeing her slowly move the rock over the pond, however her hand continues to shake which causes her to lose her focus and it drops into the water. Rey lowers her head as Ben smiles "It's alright. That happened to me the first time" he tells her "You'll get there in time" he promises adding "And I'll be here to help" he promises her seeing her smile. "I'd like that" she softly replies.
At the same time, Luke, Ahsoka and Keely were standing nearby. Keely was holding Grogu in her arms who was taking in his new environment right as R2 came up alongside Luke beeping and whistling excitedly causing them to look down at him "What is it R2?" He asks as Keely tilts her head before they see R2 activate his hologram protector revealing a small hologram of their father.
"Luke, Keely, Henry, this is a message to inform you that we've met with the Resistance and we're on our way back to the Temple now" he reveals "Once we land, we need to speak with you all about what we've found out and Snips, if you're listening….." He pauses to smirk as Ahsoka rolls her eyes shaking her head with a smirk as Anakin goes on "You can join in on our meeting because you've always been family and if you're hanging around, it will concern you as well" he says "We'll see you soon" he tells them before the hologram disappears as Keely looks over at Luke
"Do you think its good or bad news?" Keely asks curiously as Luke shrugs "Hopefully good news because if there is a new threat emerging we want to stop it now before they take over the galaxy again" he says as Ahsoka nods "That was a dark time. Being a Jedi was dangerous" she says as Keely listens quietly as Luke looks back at his sister
"Two years before you were born Keely, Leia was taken by a group of criminals. Dad wanted to go after them but mom managed to be able to convince him to protect us and ask Obi Wan for help. He was hesitant at first especially because he had his own family to protect" he says as Ahsoka blinks in shock "Obi Wan had a family?" She asks as Luke smirks and nods "He reunited with Satine and went into hiding and they had a daughter Miramir" he reveals as Ahsoka looks confused "Had?" She asks as Luke nods "A few years later, raiders came after Obi Wan again and killed Satine. He never found his daughter so he assumed she was too" he says as Ahsoka smiles once more "First Skyguy, then Obi Wan, I had no idea" she says smirking.
It was then at that moment Luke felt a disturbance in the force, danger and it was coming for them. "Keely, gather everyone in the hanger back now" he says as Keely is confused "Luke, what's going—" she pauses feeling the same disturbance. "Luke" she says as Luke only replies "Just get everyone to the hanger bay now" he says moving over to find his brother and nephew.
Whilst at the same time, in space…
"What do you mean they tracked us?" Anakin shouts to Han. They were in the cockpit of the falcon. Leia, Padme and 3PO were strapped into the seats back in the main hold as Han attempted to get through hyperspace. Han then snaps back at Anakin "It's what I'm trying to tell you gramps. Someone's tracking us" he informs him adding "And we need to get back to Yavin 4 now so we can evacuate everyone" he tells him as Anakin was trying to understand just who could be tracking them.
"There has to be a spy in the Resistance" he says "And we led them right to the Temple" he says as Han brushes past him "And whoever it is, won't defeat us easily" he says moving over towards the controls on the side "Stand by Chewie, I'm cutting the hyperspace power" he says flicking the switches as Anakin sees the stars streak past them and the red planet of Yavin appear before them before Chewie hits the thrusters and pilots the falcon around the planet and towards the blueish green planet of Yavin 4. It was then he could sense Luke, Keely and Henry through the force.
"They're getting ready for us" Anakin tells them as Han takes his seat once more "Good, because it's going to be a real short stay" he says right as a sudden blast rocks the ship as the monitors begin to flash. Anakin races from the cockpit "I'll attempt to slow down our tracker. Get us to the surface now!" He orders racing towards one of the gunners leaving Han and Chewie to get them back to their family.
Whilst back down on the planet's surface, Luke and Keely had managed to group all the students in the hanger back. Rey was holding tightly onto Keely's hand who was holding onto Grogu with her other arm. She looks up at to the sky hoping to see the falcon flying towards them but no such luck. Henry steps up beside her holding onto Ben's hand.
"Any sign of them?" He asks adding "I can sense them but I can't tell how close they are" he admits as Keely looks over at him "They're close. I can feel them" she says right at the moment several fighters flew into the planet's inner atmosphere heading directly towards the temple. "Luke!" She cries "We've got fighters!" She exclaims as Luke then looks to Ahsoka. "Ahsoka, how big is your ship?" He asks as Ahsoka moves over towards him
"I can take some of the students and Ezra and get out of here and the rest can go with you, Keely and Henry on the falcon when it gets here" she says as they hear the figures shooting at the temple exterior, the blasts beginning to make the interior walls crumbles. Luke looks over at Ahsoka "Get out of here now. We'll contact you when we're on the falcon" he says moving over towards Keely and Henry. "We're could be buried here if we stay here" he says seeing them both nod as Keely feels Rey gripping her leg tighter as Grogu looks between her and Luke curiously.
"If we go out there, we could get shot by one of those fighters!" Keely warns them as they hear more blasts hit the temple as Henry then looks over at them "We're going to be bury alive if we don't get out of here" he reminds them just as they heard a familiar voice over the comm "And sooner than you think kids!" Came the voice of Han as Henry and Keely both looked over at Luke just as Ahsoka takes off in her ship with Ezra and half of the students.
"We're approaching the temple now, better get out of there" he tells them as Keely lifts Rey up into her arms whilst still holding onto Grogu as Henry lifts Ben into his arms. "Don't have to tell me twice" he says as Luke turns to the rest of his students "Come on, everyone" he says as they rushed out of the hanger bay into the open courtyard as three fighters continued to shoot at the temple and ground however those fighters were quickly taken out as the falcon flew towards the courtyard.
Luke and Keely instantly knew who was shooting the fighters "Dad's at one of the cannons" Keely smiles as the falcon landed meters from them "Dad!" Ben exclaims as the landing ramp lowered before they saw Chewie standing on the landing ramp roaring for them to get on board.
Luke, Keely, Henry, Ben, Rey, Grogu, R2 and the rest of the students quickly all rushed up the landing ramp just at the moment they saw a large ship coming into the atmosphere. Keely looks over at Luke "I got a bad feeling about this" she says before they simply raced up the landing ramp straight into the falcon where once the last student was inside, Chewie shut the door down calling out to Han. "You don't have to tell me twice!" Han responds just as Luke, Keely and Henry saw their mother and sister hurrying over towards him. Henry hands Ben to Leia before he was embraced by his mother
"My babies" she cries before she goes on "Not quite the reunion we were hoping to have" she says as Luke then looks over at his mother "Who are they?" He asks just as Anakin comes up from the cannons. "It's the first Order. They tracked us once we entered hyperspace" he says before he then notices Grogu in Keely's arms.
"Who's your new friend?" He asks as Luke then looks over at his father "I sensed him through the force and it lead me to a Mandalorian on a Star Destroyer who he had been looking after him" he says as Anakin looks down at Grogu who was curiously looking at him with his big wide eyes. Anakin smiles. "I didn't think there were many of Master Yoda's kind left in the galaxy" he confesses "And he is very strong in the force" he admits as Luke nods
"I entrusted him into Keely's care because she can watch over him along with Rey and we can help with his force training" he says as Anakin nods "Once we find a new place to build a new Temple" he says as Ben, who was resting his head on Leia's shoulder looks over at his grandpa. "So we can't go back to the Temple grandpa?" He asks as Anakin smiles looking over at him before he wraps an arm around Padme's waist.
"Not any more Ben" he replies "Now that the first order knows about Yavin 4, we need a new place to continue to rebuild the Jedi" he tells them. Luke nods before he moves over to check on his students as Keely heads to the sleeping quarters with her mother, Rey and Grogu. Henry then moves over towards Luke leaving Anakin and Leia, with Ben in her arms, together.
Leia looks up at her father "Do you think there is a spy in the Resistence?" She asks as Anakin looks down at her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "I can't be sure but given what just happened, it's possible and we can't contact the Resistance now because if there is a spy, they'll report to the First Order about our whereabouts" he says. Leia nods before she looks down at Ben who was resting his head on her shoulder.
"I just hope we're doing the right thing" she says "I only want to keep Ben safe and what happened today with the Temple, only makes me want to protect him more" she says as Ben then perked his head up "I'm safe with you, dad and grandpa mommy" he smiles making them both laugh just as Han approaches them "That's right buddy" he smiles reaching over to take Ben into his arms before he leans over to give Leia a kiss. "You look like you kept out of trouble while we were gone" he says as Ben nods
"I'm helping Rey to use the force" he says as Han chuckles "Well, how about I give you another flying lesson on the falcon?" He asks seeing Ben's eyes light up "Yeah!" He cries as Han smirks at Leia "You know where to find us" he says before he moves away with Ben before Anakin places his hands on Leia's shoulders, before he gently touches her chin seeing her look up at him with her soft brown eyes
"Sometimes I forget you're all grown up" he says seeing her smile "Some days I still see the little girl who ran into my arms when you were brought back to us after you were rescued" he reminds her as Leia smiles as she remembers that day
Flashback - 23 years ago….
The hot suns of Tatooine were blistering in the morning sky as Anakin, Padme and Satine stood and watched as the transport ship land meters before them. Luke looks up at his parents. "It's Leia!" He breathes as Anakin and Padme look down at him before Anakin then felt his daughter's presence once more as the landing ramp begins to lower and two figures appear at the top, one short like a child.
It was then they saw the shorter figure running down the lamp as the other figure followed them "Mom, dad!" Leia cried rushing towards them before she threw her arms around her parents. Anakin kneels down to embrace his daughter "Leia, it's so good to see you safe" he says as Leia looks down. "I'm sorry for what happened" she softly replies referring to the kidnapping as Anakin holds her close
"Leia, it's not your fault. We're just glad you're back home safe and Obi Wan brought you back to us" he says as Leia sniffs as Anakin then looked worried "Leia, what's wrong?" He asks as he hears Padme speak up "Who are you?" She asks the second figure. They were darker skinned with black short hair but dressed in Jedi robes.
"I am Haja Estree" he says "I met your friend when he was looking for Leia on Deju. I may have had him thinking I was a Jedi but I was able to keep him safe even when bounty hunters were sent after him. I was able to lead him to an organisation known as the Path who agreed to help get back" he says as Anakin stands back up, Leia's arms around her father as he then asks
"And where is Obi Wan now?" He asks as Haja lowers his head sighing "We run into trouble with Inquistors and the Empire and Ben thought it would help if he confronted them and allowed us to escape" he explains as Satine gasps as Padme is quick to comfort her as Anakin looks over at Haja,
"Where is he now?" He asks as Haja sighs once more "He was leading the Imperials away from our ship. He made me promised to get her back home. However, after what I've seen from him, he's on his way here" he promises just as they heard a voice from the ship "Haja!" They called as he smirks "I best be going" he says turning to his back to the ship before they watched it take off once more into space once more. Anakin felt Leia holding him close as he looks over at Padme who was comforting Satine.
"He was right" Anakin says as they looked over at him "He's still alive" he says as Leia softly speaks once more "I hope so" she says looking up at her father "I gave him Lola so he'd feel brave" she says referring to the droid Anakin had made for her a year ago as Anakin smiles kneeling down to his daughter again "I'm sure you'll see them both again my little princess" he says before she then throws her arms around him "I love you dad" she replies as he just holds her close, happy to have her safe in his arms again.
End of flashback
Leia smiles up at her father "Everything that's happened is so that we can make the galaxy safe again" she says as Anakin looks down at her with a small smile before he places a hand on Ben's head "And to ensure our family can grow and be safe" he says as Leia nods "I won't stop till I know Ben can be safe always" she says as Anakin looks down at his daughter "You remind me so much of your mother" he says making her softly smile "I did have two strong role models to look to" she says referring to both of them before he gives her a kiss on the forehead.
Leia then nods "I'm going to go find Han" she says moving away with Ben as Anakin then watched Luke and Henry standing not too far from him talking to some of his students. All his family was back together, here on the falcon and he was going to ensure that he continued to keep them safe.
Keely sat on the edge of the bunk beside her mother as she watched Rey and Grogu both sleeping. "Luke has entrusted me with being responsible for them and I've never felt more responsible then I was during the attack on the Temple" Keely confesses "I felt Rey's fear as she clutched my leg fearing what will happen and Grogu wondering what will happen" she says as Padme looks over at her daughter before she takes one of her hands in hers and then places one of her hands on her daughter's cheek
"My dear sweet girl, sometimes I still can't believe how much you've grown" she admits "You grew up in dark times. We had joined the Rebellion when you were born, sometimes your father and I had hesitated with but we knew our friends needed us" she says adding "You've connected with Rey and Grogu because they may remind you of how you were when you were younger during those times" she says as Keely then moved closer towards her mother, her head resting on her shoulder, hand squeezing her mother's.
"Sometimes I still feel like that little girl" she says looking up at her "I'm happy I still have you and dad to watch out for me" she says as Padme smiles "Always will sweet girl" she says before Padme could see her daughter's dark eyes. "You should get some rest too" she says. Keely nods. She wasn't going to argue with her mother, she actually was tired and she knew she wouldn't win against her mother.
Keely then moved into the opposite bunker to where Rey and Grogu were sleeping as Padme then covers her with a blanket, bending down to give her a kiss. "Sleep tight" she says to her daughter before she quietly moves out of the quarters where she found Anakin waiting for her.
"You've always been a wonderful mother" he says as she wraps her arms around him. "I just want to keep them all safe" she says as Anakin tilts her chin up so she was looking up at him. "And we will my love" he says before they shared a tender, soft romantic kiss together before he goes on "Joining the Resistance will keep our family together and safe" he promises her going on "That attack made me realise I need to protect my family and being with the Resistance will be like being in the Rebellion" he says before he smirks
"Plus we have many more Jedi then we did back then" he says as Padme nods "We'll contact Admiral Statura once we speak with Luke, Keely and Henry" she says as Anakin nods "The sooner the better" he says before Padme then feels Anakin lift her into his arms. "Ani!" She cries as Anakin smirks at her holding her in his arms. "Come on, my angel let's get some rest" he tells her carrying into the quarters across from where Keely, Rey and Grogu now slept.
Luke and Henry sat in the main quarters of the falcon at the Dejarik table. Henry leans back in his seat as he sighs. "Well, that was quite the experience" Henry admits "What happens now?" He asks "Do you have another planet we can for the academy?" He asks as Luke looks over at his brother
"I have a few thoughts but I'll speak to father about it later. I sense he has more to tell us however the attack on the Temple changed that" he says as Henry then looks over at his brother "Those fighters who attacked us, I could sense the darkside around them and yet I thought the Sith died with the Emperor?' He asks remembering his father's story about how the Empire was destroyed.
"I know what you mean. I could sense something but I then was focused on ensuring everyone got out of there" he says "The Sith hopefully did die with the Emperor and Vader and its been seven years" he says as Henry nods before he adds "I always waned to prove myself and over these last few days I felt like I have" he says as Luke smiles over at his brother
"You've truly proven yourself and come a long way brother" he says "And something tells me you will continue to be able to have a chance to prove yourself" he says "Keely has come a long way and stepped up. I've entrusted her to look after Rey and Grogu" he says as Henry then looks over at him
"The force is very strong around Rey and Ben. I've sensed a connection and Keely has too" he says as Luke listens before he goes on "You're learning to quiet your minds and attune yourselves with the force. The force is guiding and speaking to you" he says "Continue to you let it guide you and it will help you" he says as Henry gives a small smile
"Thanks brother, I will" he tells him just as he finds the switch to turn on the game seeing the creatures come to life on the screen "So, fancy a game?" He asks adding cheekily "I've watched Chewie and Han play this game numerous times and I think I've finally gotten the hang of it" he grins as Luke laughs
"Okay, let's see what you've learned brother" he replies before he started to engage in the game with his brother as the falcon continue to fly through space.
Next time: There is a slight time jump - The Skywalkers are working in the Resistence as Luke and Anakin build their new Academy, with Keely, Henry, Ben, Rey and Grogu excelling in their training more and more, especially Keely's empathy skills whilst Padme and Leia work with Admiral Statura in the Resistence to discover more about the First Order as Han begins to fall back into old smuggling patterns and Anakin's nightmares deepen about Snoke as he watches Ben and Rey's connection deepen
