Batman vs The 6 6 6
Chapter 8: Demon Night II
Dr. Loomis followed Batman for a couple blocks, heading towards the abandoned fairgrounds, until they came to a dark alleyway between two condemned buildings.
Batman stopped. "Wait here." He instructed in monotone.
Dr. Loomis stayed put. He then watched Batman travel into the alleyway until he completely vanished into the darkness. He put his ear out to try and get an idea for what Batman might be doing. He peered his eyes in closer, trying to see through the dark void.
Suddenly- The doctor's eyes were blinded when two bright headlights shined directly in his face, causing him to throw his hands up in front of his eyes in order to block the high beams from blinding him any further.
VROOM VROOOM! A vehicle could be heard starting up.
Within seconds, a sleek black vehicle, with armor-plating all around it, pulled up next to Dr. Loomis.
The passenger side door opened. "Get in." Batman instructed.
After his vision started to clear, Dr. Loomis noticed that Batman had put on a brand new suit, also having on new boots and a cape.
(Batman had previously lost his boots and cape when he fell into Laurie's traps at the abandoned apartment building.)
After the doctor sat down in the vehicle, Batman raced off down the street and headed for the fairgrounds, so that he could warn The Clowns of the carnage that was heading their way.
Minutes later, the Batmobile pulled into another alleyway close to the fairgrounds. "Stay here." Batman once again commanded the doctor.
Batman then sprung from the vehicle, launching a grappling hook towards the top of a building, and quickly ascended towards the roof. Dr. Loomis watched the flapping cape until it was completely out of sight.
While on the roof of the building, Batman pulled out a set of binoculars and then surveyed the abandoned park. He only counted about five or six Clowns, mostly hanging out near the entryway that led into the area which had old carnival rides. There certainly was no sight of the Clown Prince of Crime.
He then surveyed around the outskirts of the park, looking for the three demonic lunatics. Everything seemed quiet… too quiet.
When he looked back down at the ground, where he parked his Batmobile, He noticed that Dr. Loomis had made it out of the vehicle and he was now using a cell phone.
"Everything is going according to plan." Dr. Loomis whispered into the phone.
Suddenly, Dr. Loomis could feel something attaching itself to his ankles, and then-
WHOOSH! He was swept off of his feet, hanging upside down and rapidly ascending upward towards the roof.
He finally came to a stop, only to be looking Batman right in his eyes.
"You two are working together!" Batman snarled. "That's why you were already there when the building came down!... And you suddenly appeared at the entryway of the sewer!... Laurie knew I would turn back around and try to save Croc's men!" Batman proclaimed.
"I don't know what you are talking about!" The hanging doctor bellowed, face turning red from the blood rushing into his head.
Batman then released some of the slack on his grappling hook, causing the doctor to fall rather quickly.
Then, the line pulled tight again, about ten feet before the doctor could hit the ground, suspending him in air for a moment. And then the slack released again, causing the doctor to finally drop to the ground.
Within a second, Batman swung down and landed perfectly on his feet.
The doctor picked himself up from off the ground. "What the HELL did you do that for?" He piped up, brushing off his lab coat.
"I want to know where she is going!" Batman demanded.
"Your guess is as good as mine! You're the one that led us here, not me!.. remember?" The doctor retorted.
"YOU'RE LYING!" Batman exclaimed, grabbing Dr. Loomis by his collar, pulling him in closer, and getting in his face. "Based on the direction Laurie was heading, she knew I would have assumed she was heading for the old amusement park… BUT WE BOTH KNOW THAT ISN'T TRUE!" Batman growled, pulling the doctor in even closer. "WHERE IS SHE GOING!?"
Batman looked down at the doctor's lab coat. Upon doing so, he realized that the lapel read, "Arkham Asylum" and not "Smith's Grove."
"Dr. Samuel Loomis doesn't work for Arkham Asylum!" Batman declared, gripping the collar tighter, pressing on the doctor's throat. "Who are you!?"
Suddenly, explosions could be heard in the far off distance, coming from the same direction as Arkham Asylum.
Just as Batman looked up to see the newly formed smoke clouds from the explosions…
"I can't let you stop her, Batman!" Dr. Loomis exclaimed, suddenly shapeshifting into his true identity of… Clayface.
Batman jumped back, readying himself for battle.
"This is bigger than you and I, Batman!" Clayface proclaimed, lifting his arm, shapeshifting his fist into a hammer. "We must allow for the exorcism to take place!" He insisted, swinging down the hammer.
Batman quickly dodged out of the way. He then reached into his utility belt and pulled out a few devices.
POP! Smoke pellets exploded as they hit the ground, blinding Clayface with a thick fog around him.
Clayface began spinning in all directions, making sure Batman couldn't sneak attack him.
WHAM! He realized that he must have made contact with Batman.
When the smoke cleared, Batman was down on one knee, looking as if he was trying to recover from the blow he just took.
Clayface closed in quickly, raising his fist-hammer higher than the last time. "I've gotchu now, Batman! You're getting slower with old age!" He blurted, still using Dr. Loomis's voice.
Just as Clayface was bringing down the hammer, Batman leapt out of the way, revealing that he was secretly covering up a fire hydrant behind his cape… And then-
BOOM! The top of the fire hydrant blew off, causing a gush of water to shoot out directly at Clayface.
By the time Clayface's hammer-fist hit the ground, it splattered in all directions because the sudden addition of water made Clayface too soggy to keep his molecules solid. However, he continued trying, slinging mud pellets in Batman's direction.
Batman covered himself with his cape. He could tell that the pellets were beginning to harden, so he quickly grabbed hold of a trash can lid, jumped over to where the fire hydrant was spouting water, and redirected the water so that it would continue hitting Clayface head on.
Clayface couldn't get any closer as he gradually dwindled in size due to most of his body getting washed away.
Soon, Clayface knew he was beat. He then allowed the water to turn him into nothing but a puddle of mud on the ground and slowly seeped into a drain beneath himself.
"You must allow for the exorcism of Agitha Williams!" Were the last words Clayface spoke before finally washing completely away.
Batman had no time to decipher what he meant by that because he needed to make his way towards Arkham Asylum.
As he sped off in the Batmobile, he contacted his butler, Alfred. "Alfred… I need you to find out everything you can about a woman named Agitha Williams!" He instructed, gritting his teeth, stepping down harder on the gas pedal. "I'm heading to Arkham!"
