Heya! Welcome back to GOTM. Why the abbreviation? Because I'll be honest, typing Gamer Of The Multiverse every time I put an author's note here gets kinda repetitive and hurts my fingers. Well, maybe not "hurts my fingers" but it does get Menoetius doing it over and over again.
Now, I've gotten some DMS asking me when the Harem is actually going to show up. And my answer to that is: wait till this whole bit with the children has passed. You want a harem? You'll get a harem alright. I can't comfortably start the harem crap until I get these kids out of the way, otherwise, it'd ruin the tone I'm trying to achieve with this arc. Plus, it's just wrong to make it crop up right now.
Also, as I'm sure you've all noticed. The title of this is "Gamer of The Multiverse" and yet all I've done for the last 20 chapters is have Jolyne do a bunch of stuff within The Danganronpa Universe. I've also got some people who've DM'd me wondering when the actual Multiverse part will show up. And to that, I say: Be patient, one universe at a time, please.
I think I made it pretty clear in the first chapter that Jolyne will only go to the next universe once she is done with the current Universe she is in. Each universe will have its plot lines unique to its own, and each of them will be LONG. That, and I don't want to skip over everything, like character development and stuff like build-up, just because some of you guys want to see the harem get started. For an example, I had one guy in my DMS ask this: "When will we get to see Jolyne get her che—PFT, s-sorry, I can't. I can't type that out. It's too funny!
Look, just know that some of ya'll are MAD down bad, no, down horrendous, and it's funny. I won't name names, but ya'll know who you are. Look, I know one of the tags on Ao3 says "eventual smut" and trust me, we'll get to it when we get to it. Once again, I ask thee to be patient. As I said: the kid's safety is to be ensured first, and weird kinky lesbian and or straight doesn't really matter when talking about Jolyne, sex later.
And NOW! With that LONG ASS authors note out of the way, allow me to get to my response to reviews/comments. And OH BOY, this one's gonna be a bit of a doozy, so, uh… Ao3 readers? Yeah, prepare for this author's note to be a part of the actual chapter.
Oh, and by the way, from now, I won't be showing Jolyne's stats until she levels up in power quite a bit. Like, say, jumps up in power by 5 levels or something like that. Someone pointed that out in a discord server I'm in for writing, so thank you to them! I don't know if they read this, which I HIGHLY doubt they do, but still, it was rather nice of them to help me.
(Side note, it just barely made it in without having to be put into the chapter. Consider yourselves lucky)
[Response to Reviews/Comments]
(Qoutev) Dead Phone: What can I say, Jolyne's on that Demon Time! Those that get in her way die, and those that don't are on her good side. As for what'll happen when Jolyne joins up with Mukuro and Junko… well, if you thought that what happened in the DR3 anime was bad… oh boy, you ain't seen NOTHING yet.
(Qoutev) JammyJam: LETSSS GOOOOOOO! MAKE THOSE ABUSIVE SHITBAGS SUFFER!
(Qoutev) Shine375: Le Gasp! A platform hopper! Such a rare sight to behold!
(Qoutev) TACO SENSEI: Only now have I realized that I have not been doing your username the justice it deserves. I have been spelling it without caps lock on, and thus, I have betrayed the format. This has been fixed. Now, as for the other Gods finding out about what she's done… buddy, I think you're a little bit ahead of yourself. That's not gonna be tackled for a very, very long time.
(Ao3) TheGreatWave74: I JUST finished reading Jojolion for the second time a few days ago, and I can safely say that Soft & Wet cannot strip away concepts like luck. Now, if it was something biological, then perhaps so, but seeing as Luck is just a concept, I don't think it can be stolen, even if we're considering Go Beyond, which solely exists to let Gappy kill [Spoilers] Tooru. As Despair inducing as that idea is, it wouldn't work.
(Ao3) Shine375: HELL YA! DAMN STRAIGHT WE ARE DOING THAT—hey wait a minute… Le Gasp! The platform hopper! Damn… Jokes aside, the world shall know despair very, very soon.
(Ao3) TheSevenStars: I mean, to be fair, what else could Nagito really do in that situation? You know, originally, I had planned for Nagito to gain some sort of magical ability, but then after thinking about how I kinda needed Kirigiri to live, and seeing as I kinda set up Nagito to die, I decided to go with the only real option, and that was to kill bagel boy.
(Ao3) Spearow: Oh, buddy, do I got a treat for you….
Kolt999: Oh boy, you have NO idea just how crazy stuff is going to get in these next few chapters. When I say that Nagito's death is gonna cause some chain reactions, I mean that… literally. You'll see what I mean when I get to it. Also, please, I do NOT need that visual in my head. Nagito is already terrifying as is, he doesn't need something THAT bullshit to make his bullshit even bullshittier.
Welp, 980 words later, and the author's note is done… well shit. How about we move on to the chapter itself? BTW, prepare for one hell of a roflstomp coming up in the next few chapters, because it'll be hilarious.
[Warning: This chapter covers some rather disturbing topics. Reader's discretion is advised. Don't say I didn't warn you.]

Jolyne swiped away the screens that popped up in front of her as she walked down the stairs and away from the roof. She had to admit, the meeting with Junko went far smoother than she had anticipated, and with their partnership now formed, it was clear that things were starting to ramp up, and thank GOD for that because things were actually starting to kind of get repetitive.
Now, that wasn't to say that she was getting bored of doing what she had been doing. However, it wasn't unreasonable to conclude that it was getting kind of stale. To put it bluntly, it was starting to feel like something out of a Saturday morning, the villain of the week kind of dealio. And now that she had something to actually work towards now… a true, overarching goal… well, needless to say, that she was grateful for it.
And with that in mind, she thought about what it was Junko said back on that rooftop.
"Okay! So! The first thing that we need to do in order to jump-start this WHOLE thing, is for your class to feel as much Despair as possible! We're gonna need thralls if we're gonna pull this whole thing off! What're Gods of the new world without thralls? I'll tell you what type of Gods those are, PATHETIC LOSERS!" Junko said with a wide smile on her face as Jolyne hummed, listening intently to the strawberry blonde.
"Now! Originally, I was thinking hypnotization would work while watching one of their beloved classmates die. But…, after I found out that you killed that Yakuza thug, and saw their reactions to it, I realized that it wouldn't have worked out all too well. Then, I got to thinking…. What about torture? Maybe knock all of them out using some spell of yours! I dunno, you're the Ultimate Mage, right? So you gotta have something like that! Anyway, knock'em out, I'll have Mukuro kidnap that useless teacher, and then we can get straight to the good shit!"
That was the plan that Junko had told her. She wasn't going to lie and say that it wasn't all too bad. The only issue she had with it was knocking out her class. Granted, judging by how all of her reputations with them plummeted to zero after her conversation with Junko, and entered into the negatives actively as she walked down the stairs, she had to assume that they caught wind of Nagito's death.
It was strange, how Nagito, the most obnoxious bastard that she had ever met, would have his death be the catalyst for this nonsense. Hindsight was 20/20, so as far as Jolyne was concerned, what was to come next was all but unavoidable. She was going to have to beat the rest of Class 77 – B into submission.
Well… she could always avoid them like the plague… but then that would just make more problems for herself later down the line. It was better to make sure they knew their place first and foremost. That, and all she had to do was knock them out and hold them somewhere they couldn't escape from so that Mukuro could kidnap Chisa.
"Question is… where do I hold them captive? I can't hold them in the PTD, because the PTD is for my personal use, and would tear them apart if I tried… I can't lock them in my Ultimate Lab, Nekomaru could just break them out with ease. Oh…! I know what I can do…. IF what Junko said was true, then there's a basement in the school that I could take them to. The question is… where is it?" Jolyne thought, humming as she skipped down the last remaining steps.
When touching down on the ground, she took a sharp left toward her Ultimate Lab. She had a lot of prepping to do, and with the limited time that she had, that being 3 days before Mukuro attempted the kidnapping, she needed to be quick.
Now, granted, Mukuro could probably knock out everyone in her class with ease, she IS the Ultimate Soldier after all, and if her BIO wasn't inflaming her abilities, it was clear that she was quite the speedy fucker. Catching a bullet with her bare hands? That was pretty impressive for someone who lacked magic. That wasn't just talent, that was pure skill at play.
"Note, don't fuck with Mukuro," Jolyne thought, grabbing the handle to her Ultimate Lab's door. Opening the door, she was greeted with a file placed on the floor labelled "Elementary Division Student record."
A smile came across the mage's visage as she picked up the file. "So, The Headmaster completed his end of the bargain… good," Jolyne said, opening the file. When she did, five student profiles came out. All of the profiles had mugshots that only showed their faces and nothing else about them other than their names and talents. There was one there that Jolyne instantly recognized due to them being the person who caused the Quest to come up in the first place.
Masaru Daimon, Lil Ultimate P.E., a boy with red spikey hair, greyish blue eyes, and tan skin with a bandage on his cheek.
Monoca Towa, Lil Ultimate Homeroom. A girl with green hair in the style of a bob cut, pale skin, and emerald green eyes.
Jataro Nemuri, Lil Ultimate Art. A boy with their face completely covered by a mask made of random fabrics and what appeared to be an oxygen tube, the only thing visible about the boy's face being his mouth, the pale skin around said mouth and light brown eyes.
Kotoko Utsugi, Lil Ultimate Drama. A girl with long knee-length pink hair, dark pink eyes, pale skin, and a pair of bright pink… horns? Well, fake horns anyway.
And finally, there was Nagisa Shingetsu, Lil Ultimate Social Studies. A boy with chin-length blue hair, a pale complexion, and sky-blue eyes.
All of them were listed as The Elementary division's troublemakers, which was just the information she was looking for. Now that she had it, all she had to do was track them down and confront them. Jolyne pursed her lips, confliction dancing about her eyes.
How was she going to do this? There were plenty of ways to do so. The only issue was in which order? Deal with Class 77 – B? Or, deal with the kids? Or… both at the same time also works. Hell, part of her plan involved Whitesnake, so why not use him in the way he was meant to be used? Plus, she had to extract Ratt from the headmaster anyway, so killing three birds with one stone was a smart thing to do.
Summoning Whitesnake and issuing the command mentally, the Stand nodded as she gave it the DISC case. With it in hand, Whitesnake turned invisible and left the Lab. Jolyne followed the Stand out of the Lab, leaving the file behind as she headed in the opposite direction. And as she did, a notification appeared in front of her.
[The Day the World knew Despair – Part 1]
Description: You've been given an order by Junko Enoshima to knock out your classmates so that Operation Despair can get into action. Do as she says, and knock out Class 77 – B, and take them to the basement of the school where they cannot escape.
Warning: By completing this Quest, you will be perma-locking yourself into the Evil Route. Beyond this point, you will no longer be able to earn Neutral or Good Karma until going to the next universe. Any other Karma you get aside from Evil will be converted to EXP (1 Exp per other Karma points).
Quest: Knock out all of Class 77 – B (Difficulty – Hurt Me Plenty)
Rewards: Plus 5 affection with Junko Enoshima, plus 25 reputation with Mukuro Ikosaba, 50 Karma (Evil), 300,000 Yen, 10,000 exp, 10 Gacha Tokens, 3 Spell Tokens, 1 Blank Stand Disc.
Jolyne hummed as she read the quest. This was a lot to take in, especially with the whole "Perma-Locking" bit mentioned in the warning. Although, she already got to this point, so what would be the point in going back now? Besides, the rewards were worth it, and seeing as she wasn't attached to any of them, except for Gundham, what with him being her student and all.
The rest of them? They were nothing more than a way to gain perks. Was it wrong for her to think that? Maybe, but as of right now, that was all that they meant to her. She had picked her side, and if they were going to fight against it, even if it was only temporary, Jolyne wasn't going to give them any leeway.
Besides, she barely knew them.
Of course, there was still Class 78 to deal with, and their stupid magic show. But, that could wait. As far as she was concerned, it was optional. Sure, the Quest didn't say it was, but it was to her. She had far more important things to do now.
"Well, maybe I can do it afterwards… that IS a possibility. But… would it even be worth it? No, not really. There is Makoto Naegi to think about, though. I can't kill him, mainly because I feel like if I do, things will be TOO easy. I'd like for there to be a bit of a challenge, and I think Makoto would be perfect for that, even if I do hate his guts inexplicably."
With that last thought, Jolyne stood in front of the door of Class 77 – B's classroom.
It was show time.
[Mahiru Koizumi]
There was a saying that Mahiru clung to, and that saying went along the lines of this: life is like a photograph, it's precious, so don't waste your shot, 'cause it's the only one you have.
It was ironic because she was a photographer, the Ultimate Photographer to be exact. Her life was defined by that particular saying, and while most people would be bothered by having their lives summed up in one quote, Mahiru didn't. In fact, she was pretty sure it was her mother who came up with that quote, so that made it even better.
But, there came a time when life ended. Much like a photograph, human life was fragile, and pretty much anything could end it. It was a tragedy when one did end, and it was usually met with tears. And today was no exception.
Ever since Mahiru met Jolyne Brooks, she knew that something was off about her. The girl's overall demeanour about things unnerved the redhead, and her actions were just as unnerving. Hell, their true introduction started with her impaling her hand! That was not normal. And to make matters take an even more bizarre route than that, she could manipulate blood!
At first, Mahiru thought it was a joke, or at the very least a clever play of special effects; she was pretty sure most, if not everyone believed that to be the case, too. Then, Mahiru witnessed Jolyne sling fire from her fists towards someone who had been trying to kill her, later to be found out that they were hired by Fuyuhiko of all people, and that had sealed the deal for Mahiru.
Originally, she wanted to scold Fuyuhiko after that whole thing, but couldn't find him anywhere. She later learned or rather saw, the reason as to why that was, and it all led up to a conclusion that Mahiru had been working towards ever since she had watched Jolyne kill someone for the first time.
Death surrounded the mage, and everywhere she went, it followed. From all the assassins that had been killed by the mage, Because of her, to Fuyuhiko's death and Pekoyama's crippling—never to be able to practice her talent again due to her overlying injuries, the only way that the redhead could describe Jolyne would be to call her a walking, talking, living cognition of pure malice. Something so hateful, something so evil, that it masked its true feelings behind a charade of niceties, forming bonds, and "protecting" others. And once those people outlived their usefulness? Well, they'd die, usually in some gruesome, horrific, barbaric fashion.
The assassins? Burned. Impaled. Mutilated. Charred. Splattered.
Fuyuhiko? Thrown around like a chew toy, every bone in his body breaking, slipping into a coma, then dying two days later.
Pekoyama? She got lucky, only getting impaled, and she lived through it all. Yet, if you saw the expression on her face, she would've thought otherwise.
Now, granted, to call whatever Nagito and Jolyne had a "friendship" would be like calling the predation of flies to frogs a willing act of caring on the frog's part. There was nothing that detailed that Nagito cared for Jolyne or vice versa. If anything, Nagito was probably able to see Jolyne for she really was. And while it was in his own twisted way of viewing the world, calling Jolyne a "faker" wouldn't be too far from the truth.
And just like what a frog does best, Jolyne killed the annoying fly that was buzzing around their head without no hesitation, that annoying fly being Nagito. And what exactly did Jolyne do to him? Did she beat him to death? Made him suffer the same fate as Fuyuhiko? Or maybe burned him alive?
No. She liquified him. His body was nothing more than a giant sludge pile of flesh, organs, and barely recognizable features, his face marred with pain, betrayal, and fear. One could call it the expression of pure Despair.
And the worst part? There wasn't a single thing that anyone could do about it. Jolyne would get away with it. No one could lay a finger on her, with maybe the exception of Gundham and Nekomaru. And to say that EVERYONE was beyond furious after learning about what happened to Nagito so close to what happened with Fuyuhiko… Mahiru could've sworn that a switch had been flipped in everyone's heads. Even Gundham, who had defended Jolyne's actions against Fuyuhiko, couldn't deny that what she did to Nagito was a spit to the face.
With Fuyuhiko, they could understand. He sent assassins after her, so her actions were justified if a little brutal.
But Nagito? The MOST he did was insult her. Maybe he did something that no one saw. But when Jolyne got punched through by Akane, he put whatever bias he had aside and tried to help her. Even if he was mad about having to help someone he saw as beneath him, it was clear that he cared.
So for Jolyne to just kill him…. It was unforgivable. Even Yukizome-sensei was angry, and getting Yukizome-sensei angry was really difficult.
So, they devised a plan. They were going to make sure Jolyne paid for what she did. They planned to ambush her when she walked through the classroom door. And when the mage did, Gundham would freeze her, Nekomaru would knock her out, then they'd take her to the police station so that the authorities could put her away for a long time. They were sick of seeing their classmates get killed, injured, or maimed because of the mage's actions.
Footsteps approached the classroom door as everyone got into position. Kazuichi had a net set up above the door, held up by Chiaki by a pully system. Nekomaru was right beside the door, back to the wall, prepared to tackle her after the net draped over her with Akane as a backup. Sonia had a longsword on her that her parents allowed her to bring—apparently it was a family heirloom, which was kinda insane after she thought about it—while everyone else stood back, ready to jump in when need be.
When the footsteps stopped, Mahiru knew it was her, as did everyone else. Gundham had a bluish-white glow wash over his right arm as he narrowed his eyes toward the door, ready to freeze her when the signal was given. Nekomaru signalled them to remain silent as the door slowly opened. Nekomaru started the countdown using his fingers, and just as everyone was about to spring the trap….
"Despair Aura."
Jolyne's voice reverberated throughout the classroom, and when they did, almost in an instant, everyone who had been prepared to spring the trap froze up instantly. Chiaki dropped the net before Jolyne could even step in, and everyone fell down like toy soldiers, Mahiru included.
Several people tried to get up, but whatever had made them fall was keeping them there. The most that Mahiru was able to do was shakily grip her camera. She couldn't even scream, nor could she talk. The oppressive aura that Jolyne omitted was enough to freeze her entire mind and body. That kind of power was almost impossible to even consider ANYONE having.
And yet, Jolyne did.
Why did she even think her class stood a chance against her? Better yet, why did they even bother to try? It was clear as day that they were severely outclassed by her.
What came next was difficult to watch, if only because of how brutal it was. What was worse was that she couldn't look away due to the oppressive aura that Jolyne set out into the room.
When Jolyne stepped into the room, Gundham was able to fire off spears made of ice at Jolyne. Flames brushed against the ice the moment they came within her personal bubble, and in response Jolyne shot out Ice spears of her own at Gundham, hitting him in the shoulders and pinning him to the wall, the "Overlord of Ice" biting back a grunt of pain.
Nekomaru tried to get up, but failed to do so, falling back down on his face. Jolyne looked down at him, though Mahiru couldn't see her expression. The dual-coloured-haired mage scoffed, kicking him in the ribs as he groaned. Her emerald-coloured eyes scanned the room, shaking her head as she spoke.
"Who was the moron who came up with such a lacklustre plan?" When no one answered, she punched Akane in the face, making the dark-skinned gymnast spit up a broken tooth. Black strings came out of Jolyne's fingers and connected with Akane, the mage lifting her up from the ground and glaring at her. "Akane, who came up with the plan? Don't lie, besides, you're under my control, your limbs anyway. If you don't tell me truthfully, I'll bend you into a pretzel until your bones stick out from every part of your body. Understood?"
Akane glared daggers at Jolyne, sneering at her. "I… Should've… never…. Sympathized with you…!" Akane growled. Jolyne shook her head, sighing.
"That's not what I wanted to hear," Jolyne replied, moving her fingers in such a way that Akane's limbs twisted and contorted. The brunette screamed in pain as blood burst from her legs and arms, Jolyne narrowing her eyes as everyone who heard it cringed. "Let's try that again. Who. Set. Up. The. Trap."
Akane kept any tears from falling from her eyes, weakly glaring at the mage. Just as she was about to speak, another voice interrupted.
"I… I did!"
Jolyne's head whipped around to look at Chiaki, who looked at Jolyne with an expression mixed with disdain, but also confusion. "W-Why…. Why are you doing this…? I thought… I thought we were friends?" Chiaki asked as the mage sighed.
"Friends? Huh, that's nice. But, see, here's the thing. I have new friends now, and these new friends share my views. And seeing as they do, I've decided to cut ties with you lot. I mean, you all seem to hate me anyway, so why not?" Jolyne spat as Chiaki winced, looking away. "Well? Am I wrong? Ever since I joined this class, I've gotten nothing but grief. So, I've decided to strike out against it. Now… SHUT UP!"
And with that, everything went black….
[?]
When the school bell rang, she dreaded going home. Why? Because her mommy would try and make more money off of her. All of those old people would be gentle with her, hurt her, and her mother would make money off of it.
She hated every single second of it. But… she was a good girl. So she did what her mommy wanted her to do. She let those old men be gentle with her, she let them hurt her, all so that they could live a comfortable life, all the while her daddy would go see that friend of his at work. It all worked out, so why was she complaining?
The truth was, all she wanted to do was die. Ever since it started, up until now, all she ever felt was embarrassed; Embarrassed that older men would do things to do her, things she barely understood. The only time she didn't feel that way was when she was practicing her acting skills. After all, she was the Lil Ultimate Drama.
When practicing, she was able to escape the crappy world that all of those nasty adults forced upon her. There, she could be free. Freer than the freest of birds! It was too bad that her mommy would use that as a way to make her continue letting those older, nasty, vile men do those horrible, uncomfortable things to her.
Besides… she was cute, adorable, and charming! Girls like her had no choice but to go through bad things like this. Her mommy said that it builds character. Even if she didn't like it, she had no real choice. If she wanted to be a better actress, experiencing the worst kind of pain was the best way to make it seem real on the stage!
Her mommy also told her that if she were to speak a word of this to anyone, everyone would be "gentle" to her, and she didn't want that! No siree!
But… if she ever got the chance to make her mommy and daddy pay, she'd take it in a heartbeat.
As she walked past a classroom, just as she turned her back to the door, she felt something… slimy grab onto her left shoulder. She froze, clamming up almost immediately, not daring to look at whatever it was that was holding her shoulder. "M-Masaru-kun…! Whatever prank you're pulling with Jataro-kun is NOT funny!" She snapped, only for a deep-sounding voice to laugh at her, making her pupils shrink in fear.
When the laugh ended, she was yanked into the classroom, the door closing before her eyes as she found herself being sat down at one of the empty desks. Her eyes danced around the room as she looked for whoever it was that had dragged her into the room, only for her eyes to land on one of the teachers.
And said teacher had a giant hole through their chest with a white gooey liquid dripping from their eyes and mouth. The liquid reminded her of… of… that stuff. The girl shivered, her eyes scanning the room, only then to land on the… thing she had deemed responsible for dragging her into the classroom.
It was tall, really tall, taller than her daddy. It had white, gooey-looking skin, and was wearing… something? She couldn't really describe it, but whatever it was, it didn't cover up much. Although, she did recognize the black-clothed crown on its head. Its eyes looked as if they were melting, and all over its body were some sort of English-looking letters that she couldn't read.
And then, it spoke.
"Are you Kotoko Utsugi?"
Its deep voice scared her, so much so that Kotoko's heart started to race. It reminded her of those old men, though more distorted—like when you speak into a fan, and your voice comes out all weird and sputtery-like. That was what the voice of the monster reminded her of. It was hard to look at the monster because of that, but a part of her felt drawn to it, making her look up at the monster with curiosity-soaked fear. "H-How do you know my name…?" Kotoko asked as the monster smiled, unnerving her.
"Do not fear me, Kotoko. I am here to help you with your current predicament," the monster asked as Kotoko looked at the monster quizzically.
"Help… me…?" Kotoko asked, apprehension in her voice as she recoiled in the chair she was forcibly sat down in. The monster nodded, a smile on its face. It took a few steps forward, making Kotoko wince. She expected it to try and hurt her, only to be shocked to find that it was kneeling in front of her, holding her hand with its rather slimy one. It was a weird feeling, but at the same time, it was almost… reassuring.
"Yes, Kotoko. I can help you. I can give you something that will make your parents suffer. You'll be able to kill them and escape the hell that you live in. All you have to do is trust me."
Trust. That was a hard thing for her to do. She couldn't trust adults, heck, she couldn't even trust the other kids around her, who teased and made fun of her for her pink hair! Granted, it was dyed to make her look more "adorable" as her mommy put it, but that wasn't the point! How could she trust a monster, if she couldn't an adult?
Well, as it turned out, she did so rather easily.
"Y-You mean it…? Y-You can help me!" Kotoko asked as the monster nodded.
"Yes, in a way, I can. However, it's more as if I am helping you help yourself," the monster explained as Kotoko tilted her head in confusion.
"So… you can't help me?" Her tone of voice was saddened, which the monster seemed to catch onto.
"No, I can help you. But… hmm…. How do I explain this? Ah, I know. You see, Kotoko. I'm a Yokai, and I'm trapped within this school's campus. I cannot leave it, otherwise, I will cease to exist. However, I am not an evil Yokai. I sincerely wish to help you. I've seen all the nasty stuff you've been put through, and it pains me that those older than you would wish to subject you to such an awful form of sinful torment. What I can give you can allow you to take your revenge against them in such a fashion, that they will never, ever recover from it. Does that make sense?"
The monster used a lot of big words that Kotoko hardly understood. Although, thanks to Monoca, she was able to get the gist of it. Let it be known that while Kotoko hated Monoca for her manipulative ways, of which she WAS familiar with due to her mommy and daddy using them on her, she still found Monoca to be a rather smart cookie, and sometimes adorbs, especially with that dress she wore from time to time.
"I… I get it. But, how?" Kotoko asked as the monster put a finger to her lips.
"I cannot tell you, nor can I show you. Please, close your eyes. I'll be—" The monster cut itself off, pursing its lips as it searched for a different word or phrase to use. "This will hurt, but only for a moment. Once you feel the pain go away, you can open your eyes."
Kotoko didn't know whether or not to listen to the monster, but seeing as it had been nice to her thus far, and also avoided using the word "gentle" she thought she could trust it. So, she closed her eyes. Just like the monster said, her head hurt for a split second, and then, when the pain went away, she opened her eyes.
The monster was gone.
"Mister goo monster?" Kotoko called out, frantically looking around the room, only to see that nothing was there. The teacher's dead body was still laying slumped against their chair, but that was it. Normally, she'd care enough about that to scream, but they were one of the people who were "gentle" with her, so their death didn't matter to her.
No matter where she looked in the room, the goo monster was gone. Was it all an act of her imagination? She was known to have a rather strong one. But… if that was the case, why was the teacher still dead and leaking the white gooey stuff from their eyes and mouth?
Whatever was going on, Kotoko didn't understand. But what Kotoko did know was that she felt… strange. That was the best way to describe it. But, she did. She felt strange, but not in a bad way. She felt stronger, better even! But not physically, but mentally. She felt like she could take on any challenge presented to her! She didn't know WHY she felt that way, but she did.
Looking over at the time on the clock in the classroom, she frowned. Her ride was going to be waiting for her in the limo out front by now. Walking out of the classroom and then out of the building a few moments later, her head hung low, she walked up to the limo that was waiting for her. The door was opened by a man in a suit, and when she entered, the door was closed.
The men in suits were part of the Kuzuryu Clan, hired by her mommy to make sure she gets home safe. She recognized a few of their faces, and it made her sick to her stomach. Some of them were part of that group of people who were "gentle" with her.
She wanted to kill them, but she was scared to. Everyone knew that messing with the Yakuza was a bad thing. Of course, not many of them knew about what happened behind closed doors, because if they did, someone would cause trouble and speak up about it.
Her eyes idly tranced over to one of the guard's water bottles. It belonged to one of the people who were "gentle" to her. If only she had something to poison it. But… she didn't. So, she glared at it. For a split second, she could've sworn that the bottle tilted to the right, but upon rubbing her eyes, she decided that she was just seeing things.
The limo pulled out of the school's parking lot, and once they got five or so minutes away, the guard to her right grabbed the water bottle and opened it.
And then, something completely out of this world happened.
When the guard tilted the water bottle up to his mouth, nothing came out. The guard raised an eyebrow, pulling the bottle away, raising it to peer into the bottle. And when they did, water came out. But, the water was in the shape of a claw. Everyone in the car freaked the hell out, shouting, yelling, and screaming, as the claw made of water grabbed the guard's face, and ripped the guard's head clean off, stuffing it into the water bottle, the bottle crunching under the pressure and falling to the ground, along with the guard's body.
Kotoko stared in abject horror and fear as one of the guards shouted. "SHIT! IS THE MAGE NEARBY?!"
"NO IDEA! HAVE THE DRIVER ON THE LOOK—ACK!"
Before the second guard could continue his sentence, the spittle that came out of his mouth transformed into the water claw from before, and stabbed their throat, blood spewing everywhere as the guard next to him scuttled back, before the hand veered over to him and ripped his heart out, crushing it without hesitation.
And then, a voice whispered in the back of Kotoko's brain that made her headache.
"This is your new power, Kotoko Utsugi, GEB, named after one of the nine Egyptian Gods! Use it to take revenge against those who've wronged you! Make those who did those awful things to you, or never reached out to help you when they could've to pay dearly for ignoring you! As is the will of my user, Jolyne Brooks! Seek her out once this is over, and from there, she will train you and your friends to use your powers without harming yourselves!"
It was the voice of the goo monster, and it had put her at ease. An eerie look appeared in Kotoko's eyes as the driver shakily looked at her in the rearview mirror. A bright blue glow took over Kotoko and the water claw, GEB as she knew it to be called. Putting one leg over the other and clasping her hands together with a sinister smile, while putting in every ounce of villainous acting as she could, Kotoko spoke directly to the driver.
"Driver… take me to my parents, please. I would like to have a few words with them."
The driver shakily nodded, paying attention to the road. GEB disappeared, though instinctively Kotoko knew that it would be fine. She could feel its presence within her. And knowing that, twenty minutes later when she arrived at the house and stepped outside, she quickly ran inside, leaving behind everything.
She could hear a commotion coming from the living room, and when she stepped inside, she saw her mommy, her daddy, and one other random that she had never seen before. They were sitting at the table near the couches, all of which had a glass of water next to them. When Kotoko entered the room, they turned their attention to her.
"Is that her, Utsugi-san?"
"Why, yes it is. Kotoko-chan, can you get yourself ready? He's been waiting for you. He'll pay a lot, too. Be a good girl and do what I say, will you?" Her mommy asked as Kotoko's stomach churned with hatred.
"No." Kotoko barked, glaring at her with a sneer. The woman stood up, glaring at Kotoko.
"Being defiant, are you?! I thought I told you that I would—"
Just then, the glass of water shook, Kotoko glowed the same colour she did in the back of the car, and GEB manifested once again. Mommy wasn't able to finish her sentence as GEB shoved itself into her throat, and flexed its claws outward, decapitating her in the process. Daddy was next, as his eyes, along with his brain, were ripped out of his face, and finally, the stranger who wanted to be "gentle" with her had said eyes and brain shoved down his mouth, before then having his lungs ripped out.
And all of this—this tornado of gore and violence—took only ten seconds to accomplish.
And all Kotoko did was smile. Smile at the power she now had over those who wished to do her harm. Power over the demons who wanted to use her.
And she couldn't have been more happier.
