thunderofdeath97: For chapter 12, the others where all exhausted after all the fighting they had been doing back to back to back. And chapter 13, sorry to hear that. The Royal Knights are, unfortunatly, a concept that does not really work with normal Adventure Canon. So you either go by what Tri did, which was just put them in there and try to ignore it and the contradictions, or you try and make some shit up like Ghost and I did. We tried our best is all I can really say.
hoshistar17: The way I, personally, interprit the lore is: Alphamon is in charge and Omegamon is second in command and takes charge when Alphamon is gone. And because Alphamon is a free spirit, that tends to be fairly often. And of course we are gonna tie it into Adventure and 02, if it is a sequel it SHOULD. *glares at the canon Tri*

Defending Yggdrasil
Meicoomon was lazily walking away, her mind not really paying attention to her surroundings. She was lying in the sun, near her master's place of rest 'It's warm. Have to make the most of this.' She thought to herself. 'We are approaching the final days, after a...' Her ear soon twitched, hearing something coming out from somewhere along the wind.
It was Gennai... And he looked afraid.
"Huh? What's with you? You look like you're about to piss yourself." Meicoomon commented.
"They've escaped!" he snapped/yelled
Meicoomon got to her feet in shock as he said that. 'Escaped'? How? That was Chrome Digizoid!' She was shocked, horrified... And a bit impressed 'Heh.' She thought to herself as her lip trembled a little almost into a smile. "We have to find them."
"The lord wishes to see us, first." Gennai commented
"Right. Of course." Meicoomon answered. She followed, frowning a bit to herself as she walked on all fours behind him.
"We must hurry, they can't get-" Gennai ordered as he pointed.
"I get it, I get it." she deadpanned 'How did you escape?' She thought as she looked around for them, while her mind went to Meiko. She didn't think about the others at first, her mind went to her fake partner.
*flashback*
It was within the first week Meicoomon had joined her 'host family'. She was quiet, slinking along the darkness as her stomach grumbled "Meicoomon? Are you okay?" Meiko asked as she saw her 'partner' slinking along.
"I am fine child-Meiko." The cat quickly corrected herself, huffing
"Well, it's nearly dinner. Mama said to hurry up. I made your favourite." Meiko giggled
Meicoomon looked on at Meiko, that honest smile though she was being manipulated. But to say she had made 'her favourite'... it gave her a small warmth in her core. "Fine." She sighed, following
They walked to the kitchen, where Meiko went to a table that had four chairs set up.
"Alright, girls. Get ready." Meiko's mother spoke.
"Smells great, mama." Meiko responded.
Meicoomon's nose twitched as she smelt good food, or what she thought was good food. She had only eaten sparingly before coming to Earth.
"Meicoomon, would you like to come up?" Meiko asked as she patted the empty chair.
"I-What?" Meicoomon asked as she looked at the empty chair.
"You're part of the-." Meiko's mother began to speak as Meiko looked at her partner with a smile.
FLASH!
Meicoomon was back in Meiko's home again, she was sitting on her own as she was outside of Meiko's room. She was trying to get cosy outside the room, it was all she knew compared to the cold woods of the Digital World. She had to get accustomed to the 'luxuries' of the Human World. And as she saw with feral or pet cats, they were to stay outside.
However she was a bit worried.
Meiko had been in her room alone and silent for a few hours. She had came in after school and hid away in her rokn. Normally the girl would pet her and scratch her chin. It felt... 'good', she had to reluctantly admit.
What could she say in this situation? She didn't know how to deal with humans when they were like this. Maybe... asking her if she was alright would be best? A knock on the door or something?
"Hmm..." She got up from the quiet and looked at the door and knocked gently. Her strength had to be lessened, just in case of breaking the door.
"Who-Whos there?" Meiko sniffed
"It's. It's me, Meiko." Meicoomon responded. "Are... you okay?"
...
"Can I come in?"
"U-uh-huh." Meiko responded after a moment's wait.
Meicoomon leapt up and got the handle opening the door to walk inside, there she saw Meiko bundled up in her quilt. "What happened?" She asked softly
"I know I shouldn't let them get to me... But the kids at school are so... So... So cruel..." Meiko whimpered to herself
Meicoomon's ears drooped as she heard that, going closer to her 'partner' and was unsure what to do next, but just patted the quilt. "Do you... want to talk about-?" Meicoomon asked, seeing Meiko's crying face and was pulled in by her arms. "Gah! M-Meiko!"
Meiko had grabbed Meicoomon and sobbing into her fur, not on purpose but she needed this closure. "Thank you. Meicoomon." Meiko sobbed as she held her close, hiccuping between her words.
"For... What?" Meicoomon blinked in confusion
"Just. Thank you." Meiko whispered as she hugged her. "For being here. With me."
"Um. I." Meicoomon blinked and double-took before softly responding. "You're welcome."
"Hmmm..." Meiko mumbled as she closed her eyes and... Relaxed
Meicoomon looked behind her as she heard the human calm down. 'I guess this is nice.' She could feel Meiko's arms around her and she instinctually curled up with a small smile on her lips.
FLASH!
Meicoomon was with Meiko, the two walking through the street together as they headed to school. It was a cloudy day, but the sun was peaking through. "So why do you keep coming here?" Meicoomon asked as she walked with her.
"It's because it's school. I have to go." Meiko answered.
"If any of those bitches mess with you again, I'll take care of them." Meicoomon informed, flexing her claws.
"Aww. You're so cute, Meicoomon. Protecting me." Meiko giggled
Meicoomon blinked and then scratched her fur from the compliment. "Well, you know. We live together; right?"
Meiko hummed and nodded as they walked through the school gate and onto the main path. "You're my best friend, Meicoomon." Meiko said happily, the sun shinning behind her as she looked down at Meicoomon "I hope we can be together forever!"
*end flashback*
Meicoomon's eyes began to water as she recalled those memories; why did she have to experience them now? She and Gennai came to a stop... under the palace.
In their Lord's Domain.
"My lord, please forgive our intrusion, but we have news about the prisoners." Gennai apologised profusely and knelt. The darkness rumbled, their master growling at them. Commanding an answer.
"Find... them..." UltimateChaosmon ordered, its voice reverberating in the air.
"M-Master?" Meicoomon asked "I-I do not know if-if that is possible."
"Are you denying our lord's request?" Gennai whispered.
"Why... do... you... think... that...?" It responded
"They have taken flight. More then half their team are flyers. And they would have taken Alphamon with them. Meaning they are traveling to the part of the Digital World you have yet to concur, my Lord. The place the Digimon Emperor's castle once crashed and exploded. That is a blank spot, we have no idea where in that large area the Royal Knight's base WOULD be." Meicoomon explained calmly
"The... Royal... Knights... are... gone... their... powers... spent." UltimateChaosmon answered. "We... Will... get... them..."
"Yes, but we must find them." she stressed "Which is not something we can do, in the current situation."
rumble~
And suddenly... UltimateChaosmon began to MOVE!
Both Gennai and Meicoomon were horrified as they felt the world shake. Their master was turning slightly around as massive arms continued to fly. The rock above them began to crumble, their master begining to rise into the air.
"We're moving again." Gennai whispered in awe, looking at UltimateChaosmon moving and soon fly. As they looked up at the sunny desert sky.
From the Core of the Digital World...
*with the DigiDestined*
"How are you doing, guys?" Tai asked the Digimon as they soon arrived at a secret location.
"We're fine." Pegasusmon assured as he and Nerfertimon ladned, the group unsure where they where. After all, the place was enveloped in darkness.
The crash site of the Digimon Emperor's castle. A ruin of a bygone age of the Digital World and one that they wouldn't forget. The mountain that was the castle once was... was long gone. Destroyed, reduced to particals from its own destruction. But something new was in its place. A large tree.
"... Was that there from before?" Kabuterimon asked.
"Nope, that's new." Kari answered.
The tree... it was giant. It looked so large it seemed to go into space itself. The wood was a deep, facinating white. While the leaves where a calming amber.
"This was your base?" Tai asked as he and Agumon carried Dorumon.
"No, it is a new base that we have set up. In the one place UltimateChaosmon can not easily find. We call it Yggdrasil." Dorumon commented
"It's beautiful!" Mimi whispered
"HALT! Who goes there!" a voice snapps down from the tree
"Who's asking?" Matt called back.
"It's alright, they're with me." Dorumon called out.
"Dorumon? Oh no, what happened?" The Digimon called down and leapt from the branches.
Coming down was a quadrupedal white scaled Dragon-like Digimon. Its claws were black to contrast against its white metal-plated limbs, its whole body was covered in the same armour-like riveted white-metal plating, its tail was straight with plated metal and a black tip; a black lower jaw on a spiky white metal head with a black nose-horn, two large grey ears with white metal outsides. And finally, a long tattered red cloak that acted like a scarf and a pair of goggles around his neck.
"Who's this?" TK asked.
"Huckmon, I'm alright. these are the DigiDestined." Dorumon reassured.
"I thought you'd died with that stupid plan you and Gennai had." the now named Huckmon snapped softly
"That 'stupid plan' almost worked, but they stopped me." Dorumon answered.
"They what?" Huckmon glared at the Digidestined.
"They couldn't have known about Meicoomon. They were tricked by her." Dorumon answered.
"And we lost Gennai." Huckmon hissed
"Yeah." he agreed "And, again, nearly died. But they decided to torture me instead."
"Why didn't UltimateChaosmon try rewriting your data? Like he did with Gennai?" Huckmon asked, Dorumon shrugging "Revenge for us sealing him so long ago?"
"Not to be rude, but you're a Royal Knight too?" Mimi asked.
"Yes, I am." Huckmon nodded
"Huckmon, we need all the help we can get." Dorumon added. "Please, show them inside."
"What about you?" Huckmon asked his friend in worry
"I'll be fine, I rested on the way." Dorumon answered. "Come on, we have to regroup and get inside."
"Right." Huckmon sighed "This way!" He called out before jumping into the tree
"We're supposed to jump up there?" Gomamon asked.
"Don't complain." Tentomon responded, the flying Digimon turning back to their own Rookie Forms.
"... I don't supposed anyone has climbing gear?" Tai joked at the impossible scenario, sighing in defeat
"ER..." Meiko mumbled, holding her hand up "I have... Some rope."
"How prepared are you?" Izzy asked in shock as Meiko was crazy prepared.
"It was... To help set up tents." She blushed, pulling out the rope from her bag
"Ah, simple answers." Izzy answered as Meiko got the ropes out to tie together.
"If one of you could fly up and tie this to a branch, a strong one, we can start." Matt said
"I can use my vines to climb up." Palmon informed, taking a free end of rope. "That'll save anyone with tired wings.
"Plus you can catch others if they slip." TK said cheerfully
"Yeah, that too." Palmon nodded. "Poison Ivy!" She called out as she thwiped her vines onto a branch to find a sturdy one.
"Well, let's go." Kari suggested with a nervous shrug
"Ladies first?" Tai offered.
"Don't peak up our skirts." Mimi pointed at him.
"... But, you're not-" Tai blinked.
"Ah, pap, pap. No talking back." Sora answered as she patted her boyfriends cheek, giggling

"Burn." Matt jokingly pointed.
"Shut up, Matt." Tai groaned as he face-palmed, the girls going up the rope first.
*time skip*
Inside the tree, it was a vastly different world. A castle within the branches of the tree, hidden away by the rules of the Royal Knights and the laws of the Digital World. "Wow, this is... more like a castle." Kari whispered.
"We've incorporated the former Digimon Emperor's base into the tree, he had more space than he knew what to do with it." Huckmon responded.
"At least any parts that remainded." Dorumon added
"Who was the Digimon Emperor?" Meiko asked in confusion, not fully knowing the history.
"She doesn't know?" Huckmon asked.
"She only became a DigiDestined a few months ago." Dorumon answered.
"I'm not a DigiDestined!" Meiko suddenly snapped, making everyone jump
"Meiko." Sora frowned as she heard Meiko drag herself down.
"This thing... It... It's fake!" Meiko ranted, throwing her Digivice to the floor as she fell to her knees "I don't have a partner! I'm... I'm not a DigiDestined! Why am I even here?!"
The DigiDestined frowned as they wanted to help her, Kari kneeling down and holding her. "You're here... because you wanted to help."
"Huh?" Meiko mumbled
"You wanted to help us, you made an overstuffed rucksack filled with everything we could want." Kari explained.
"Anyone could-"
"You've fed us, sheltered us, protected us. You've kept us going." Kari answered. "All of that was because you care, you were responsible for helping us get here."
"I. I'm still not a DigiDestined." She sniffed, rubbing her eyes under her glasses. "I'm not like you all. I'm not... Special. I'm me... Boring. A no one. It's why Meicoomon chose me."
"I think you have potential," Joe answered.
"Wh-what?" Meiko asked.
"When we were younger, I felt like I didn't belong, that I was holding everyone back." Joe admitted.
"You were?" She asked.
"Yeah, but then I found my place in the group. And though you may feel like you don't belong with us, you'll always have a place with us." Joe answered.
Meiko looked down at the tossed fake Digivice and sniffed sadly, as she hugged Kari.
"They seem to be close," Huckmon whispered to Dorumon.
"They are. They're friends and family." Dorumon answered, slumping to a soft pillow.
"Like we where... We are all that is left, Huckmon."
Huckmon sighed heavily, realising the truth of what he said. "Yes, we are." He admitted to himself sadly.
"I should have gone with you to Earth."
"No, if you had then we both would have been captured when we came back. And with both of us, he would have killed us both." Dorumon argued "I think he and Gennai thought you where in on the plan. That I'd have told you and you'd be waiting for me to return. And either be there to greet me or would come to my rescue."
"They where half right. You DID tell me. And I called you an idiot and refused." Huckmon laughed
"Shows that power really does make you ignorant and overconfident." Dorumon nodded.
"Yeah." Huckmon sighed "... It may soon be time for a new generation of Royal Knights. If either of us survive, that will be our creed. Agreed?"
"Absolutely." Dorumon agreed. "But at the end of the day, it'll be up to them."
"Exactly." Huckmon chuckled
"Do you feel better, Meiko?" Joe asked.
Meiko looked a little vacant, but this reassurance that all these friends were giving her... made her feel worthy of them. She closed her eyes and leaned into Kari's arms a little more as she felt safe with them. She felt safe... but she did not feel worthy. Not yet.
"Well, at least now... we can rest." Tai smiled sadly
*with Meicoomon*
The cat Champion followed her Master and Gennai, as they walked through the desert. "Urgh, this heat." Meicoomon groaned as she felt the heat from the sun on this barren location, not that it was lasting for long. She hated her long fur at times. It made her remember how much she loved being in front of the fan near Meiko's homes back door...
'Damn it, not now.' She thought to herself, realising where her mind was going. 'I have to... have to stop think about it!' As she walked, she saw the army of Digimon they had with them. Ultimate's and Mega's, all evolved by her Lord's power.
"You're slowing down, Meicoomon. What's wrong?" Gennai asked.
"It's hot!" She snapped "Have you SEEN my fur?!"
"We're close, you can manage it." Gennai responded.
"Easy for you to say, you're wearing clothes that protect you." She grumbled as she looked up at him. Suddenly she heard noise behind her and frowned
A Boltmon and a RustTyrannomon where fighting. Ripping and clawing at each other. The disgusting, 'might makes right' and 'only the strong survive' mentality that made her want the world to fade away on clear display. The two idiotic members of her Lord's army trying to end the other for who knows what.
But as she saw the battle... Meicoomon gasped. There, by their feet, was a girl with black hair and glasses. Screaming as she was about to be stepped on.
'Meiko!' she thought, a fierce need to protect filling her as she bolted. In a flash she Digivolved, forming Meicrackmon, as she planned on scooping the bispecaled girl in her arms and getting her out of there... Only to pass through 'W-What?' she thought in momentary shock, before realising what that was. A mirage. A fake. The heat getting to her.
...
But that desire to protect had been real.
She gripped her head as she realised she had made a mistake, now in her Ultimate Form and shaken her head. She felt her emotions conflicting as she didn't know what else she could do or explain herself.
Why?!
Why was she liked this?!
What... What was WRONG with her?!
"GYAAAAH!" she yelled, letting out a pulse of purple energy that knocked the two Mega's back. As shadowy figure appearing over her for just a moment... Before fading away as she panted. No. No she... She had to control herself! If she let all her power out, if she lost control, her rage would destroy them all. All but her Lord... but his forces would be gone 'I-I won't let you. Ruin this.' She thought. 'I won't... Ruin this! I'm... I am... My Lord's weapon. I have to... I have to help him. The world... Should end...'
'Meichoomon!' HER cheery voice rang out through her mind, making her clench her claws
"Why did you stop up?" RustTyrannomon growled, snapping her out of her thought
"Because... You are wasting time. We have a job, a mission." She hissed
"But this bastard-!" Boltmon glared, pointing at RustTyrannomon before he was interrupted.
SLASH!
Meicrackmon's claws lashed out, cutting the sky and almost them in two. "I said. 'We have a mission'. Stop your petty squabbles and march." The Ultimate snarled up at the two Mega's
"Y-Yeah. Okay." RustTyrannomon gulped.
"Understood." Boltmon agreed.
"Good. Now get going!" she ordered. Meicrackmon panted as she was in the blistering heat trying to cover her head with her hands as she almost drunkenly walked back to the front lines and with Gennai.
"You handled that well." Gennai commented.
"Shut up." She hissed, reverting to Meicoomon
"Care for a hat? Or a hood?" Gennai offered, though with his tone, Meicoomon wasn't sure if he was being sincere or antagonising her.
"I said, 'shut up'!" She snapped. "Or I am cutting you at the ankles!"
"Okay, okay." Gennai responded, holding his hands up defensively. He gave a childish laugh, smirking down at her
'That damn human.' She thought, seething him in her mind and only imagined clawing that smug smile off his face.
*with the DigiDestined, later that night*
The group were all together and having had something to eat, with TK and Matt keeping a look out for any enemies. They where high atop the tree, above the Digital World.
"Jeez, it's scary up here." TK whispered, looking out over the desert of the Digital World.
"Yeah." Matt commented, pulling out a harmonica
"You still carry that?" TK asked in shock.
"It's my lucky harmonica. I may be a guitarist, but I still hold onto this and practice." Matt smiled.
"You still know how to play?" TK joked. And within seconds Matt was playing his harmonica expertly, the tune was hopeful and haunting, letting the music carry on the wind.
TK chuckled, sitting back and relaxing. Listening to his brothers playing, as nostalgia filled the air.
It felt like he was back with his brother after their adventures in the Digital World, sitting by the beaches and just being normal.
He closed his eyes as he gave a soft sigh, the two relaxing. Just enjoying each others company 'How long has it been since we've done this? Just be brothers and have fun.' TK thought to himself.
Sure the two hung out. Spent time together. But there was always the stress of school, of work. For years there was the awkwardness of TK being gay and not telling Matt. And then latoey the awkwardness of how Matt's relationship with Sora was going down hill, before the two finally broke up
This? Right now? It was what both brothers needed.

The two didn't react at the noises at all. Patamon and Gabumon sitting by their side. Both partners were sitting there and listening to Matt's music.

Downstairs we see the other DigiDestined were together in pairs, each of them overhearing the harmonica. Izzy and Mimi were sitting together, with the computer genius trying to find something on UltimateChaosmon to how to beat him.
"Hnn! Argh! What am I going to do? I can't out-think my way around this." Izzy whispered, trying to find a weakness to UltimateChaosmon.
"Izzy, calm down. You'll think of something." Mimi urged
"Oh, THANK you Mimi! That's a BIG help!" Izzy snapped "What am I gonna do, give him a damn computer virus?!"
"Rude." Mimi huffed, looking away
"You don't know what I've got to do!" He answered. "We're facing a god damned monster of Eldritch proportions!"
"And it's not bad to ask for help, you're the smartest person here." Mimi answered, not keeping her cool, but being assertive.
"You don't just have to do it all alone just because you're the smartest! You should be asking for help because you're the smartest!"
Izzy grumbled as he slumped down and huffed in his spot, it was hard for him to ask for help, he didn't want to burden anyone with this. But... She was right. "I'm, I'm sorry. I'm not... It's hard for me to ask for help." Izzy apologised.
"We're all friends here, Izzy. You don't need to feel like you've got to hide and do it alone." Mimi sighed, chuckling "So... What've you got? ... Simply, please?"
"Okay. From what I can gather." Izzy calmly explained, trying to dumb his own sentences down so he could be understood and he wouldn't go off the rails. "UltimateChaosmon is the 'Recycle Bin'. We know this."
"Right." She nodded
"And so, he is made up of... Basically random bits of pieces of hundreds of thousands maybe even millions of different Digimon." Izzy continued
"Like how it has a human arm while on the same shoulder it's got a reptile arm being part of it?" Mimi nodded, remembering the enormous hands it had.
"Exactly." Izzy continued. "Being made of all that, has made it... conflicted. And enormous."
...
...
...
"It's like a recipe!" Mimi gasped as she clapped
"... Please explain." Izzy asked as he blinked at her in shock.
"Okay. So I'm not a good chief. Much more into fashion. Heck, have you SEEN me? I could make trash look good." Mimi rambled with a laugh "But I did enough shit in New York that I understand the process. So, think of UltimateChaosmon as a recipe. And all the Digimon who made him up are the ingredients that make him up. They have to be in perfect balance, especially with just how MANY there are, or he'd just crumble apart! Right?"
"... Yes... Yeah, exactly!" Izzy slowly began to connect the dots.
"So... What if we can make those ingredients be reduced? Or... Disappear?!" Mimi grinned
Izzy's mind began to work into overdrive, much more than he was at his computer job.
Inspiration had struck.
"Mimi... You are a genius!" He cheered, typing away
"I try." She giggled

We zoom through the tree once again, going to another group of our chosen heroes. Joe and Sora were looking at the group, things were looking tense, but the music seemed to be helping.
"Looks like they're getting ready." Sora whispered, seeing Joe working hard with the medical supplies... something she guessed that he only did when he was stressed. "We've come a long way from scaring off a bunch of Bakemon with a boombox. Huh, Joe?" She chuckled
"Oh god, I forgot that." Joe laughed as he recalled that. "Yeah, we are."
"Yeah." Sora whispered with a nostalgic some
"It's been so long since we've been on the front lines; before you say, yes this time doesn't count." Joe responded.
"I know what you mean, since Davis and the others, and only some small named people trying to start trouble, we've been fairly quiet." Sora answered. "Three years before this. And three years before that was our final battle. Outside small scraps... We've not been heroes for a long time. At least, not the shining stars."
"It's like some joke; right? Three-year intervals." Joe joked.
"Seems like it." she chuckled
"Although there was Diaboramon between us and Davis' team. And Armageddemon between them and now. So... at least we can prepare, haha. Make sure none of us are pregnant during year three, haha." Joe noted
"Ha-ha. Ah-ha...Yeah, 'pregnant'." Sora chuckled nervously as she thought about that. She wasn't pregnant, none of the girls were; but with how much time they had spent together, it was now on her mind. They just had to be careful with when that stuff happens... If, if it did. They all wanted carriers after all. But... But she would like a family.
"Oh, sorry. Did I just drop a bomb or something?" Joe apologised.
"Huh? Oh? Nonono! Hahaha!" Sora laughed, waving her hands "No, no. Just... Future stuff I've never thought of till now. You know?"
"Yeah, I understand." Joe nodded as he looked at the supplies.
"It'll be okay, Joe." Sora smiled down at him
Joe sighed gently and nodded. "I hope so, I want to see Ciel again."
"You two do make a good couple." Sora smiled
"I, thanks. That means a lot." Joe responded, blushing a bit. "I don't think I've ever had a relationship with a girl outside of being friends."
"You'll do your best." Sora assured
"Thanks for the vote of confidence." He responded. "I think we've got as much as we have, considering that we used a lot of medicines and bandages."
"Well, we have to wait until after the battle. Worry about it then." Sora encouraged
"I hope we can get back home." Joe added. "All of us."

We move through the tree once more, to where Kari and Tai where sitting and relaxing "Matt's playing his harmonica again." Tai chuckled, hearing his best friend.
"Yeah...Tai, I'm worried about Meiko." Kari admitted.
"Yeah. What happened to her... It's messed up." Tai agreed
"I just want to be the best girlfriend I can be for her, you know?" She looked down to see Meiko there.
"Yeah. I get it." Tai nodded, kissing her neck "Trust me, I know."
"Tai~." She moaned a little as she felt his gesture. "Not here."
"It's just... a small moment." he promised, his head falling back against the tree behind them "... I've been thinking."
"Thinking about what?" She whispered as she looked up at him, feeling his breath on the crook of her neck.
"About the future. In a way." Tai mumbled "Years in the future. Humans and Digimon."
"Yeah? What do you have in mind?" She whispered.
"Lots of people." Tai commented "Lots of people are distrussful of Digimon now. They need help."
"And you want to be the one to help them? Fix the broken system?" Kari asked.
"Yeah, exactly." He nodded. "The Digimon... they need a voice. They need help."
"Are you going to be a lawyer or something?" She smiled.
"No, nothing like that. Maybe." He answered. "Or maybe a diplomat or something, it's something I think I can make the most changes."
"You? A diplomat?" she asked with a raised eyebrow... and smiled, nuzzling against him "I'm gonna miss the hair. It was easy to hold onto when I wrap my legs around your head." she joked/teased
"Jeez, why'd you have to bring that up?" He whispered.
"Why? Feel like doing it now?" she joked "Because you know I'd never say no to it. I'm sure we could sneak off somewhere..."
"How are you going to handle beating a kindergarden teacher? You are insaciable!" he laughed before he pulled out the ultimate attack... "TICKLE BARRAGE!" he called out his fingers quickly assaulting his sisters stomach
Kari's eyes widened as she felt his fingers tickling her stomach, making her laugh as she covered her mouth to stop others from hearing her. She laughed uncontrollable, squirming against him. Both grinning ear to ear.

And finally we zoom around... to Meiko. Silently looking down at her Digivice.
A Digivice that never glowed. That never beeped.
Nothing but a heavy chunk of metal and writes.
A fake.

*Time skip, the next day*
The sun was high in the sky, the denizens of the Royal Knight's tree were up and ready for the war that was to come... and what it meant to fight the oncoming terror.
Yggdrasil swayed in the wind as they looked on.
"We can see it." Biyomon said as she and Patamon flew higher than anyone else "Eight Mega's, Gennai, Meicoomon and... And UltimateChaosmon. He's... He's giant!"
"Yeah. I think we can ALL see UltimateChaosmon." Gomamon gulped as they looked down at the world.
FINALLY able to see their foe for the first time.
It was a creature of titanic size. A singular large muted-blue left arm with a holy ring around its wrist and purple nails; whisps of ocean green water from behind the arm. A purple bat-wing that looked stretched thin and almost see-through; clouds of sky blue vapour combined to look like a snake tail, with a toxic purple smog in the shape of a dragon's head. On the right-hand side was a shock of dark electric blue lightning that crackled in the sky; a white feathery wing with three claws protruding from the joint, a quake of brown earth that looked like a wrought sword. A three-clawed reptilian arm with a black bind at its wrist and a plume of orange flame in the shape of a bear's head. And finally, two bands made of black rags and red fire that looked were its shoulders, tearing and reforming as they held themselves together. And the shoulders, two perfectly spherical golden jasper eyes with slit pupils.
But strangely, in between the middle of the shoulders was a semi-humanoid figure; silvery-white with emerald green eyes, a singular sapphire orb embedded into its chest, armless as it was all connected with its ragged black and red limbs that connected its 'arms' together. And it seemed almost as big as the tree Yggdrasil.
"Well... This is gonna be fun." Tai laughed
"I see... A RustTyrannomon. A Boltmon. And a Lotsumon." Patamon called out
"I'll take Lotsumon. You take the Boltmon, and you take the dino-oven?" Palmon asked Gomamon and Tentomon
"Sure." Gomamon smiled while Tentomon nodded
"Who else is down there, Biyomon?" Sora asked
"I see a Darkdramon, a DarkKnightmon and an Ornismon." Biyomon called down
"Biyomon and I can take the Ornismon." Sora said as she looked at the others
"Seraphimon should be able to kick DarkKnightmon's armoured backside." TK nodded
"And WarGreymon will have an advantage against Darkdramon, full Dramon Destroyer time." Tai smiled
"The last two are Nidhoggmon and Mitamamon." Patamon called down
"Us Nidhoggmon, you two Mitamamon?" Kari asked as she pointed between herself and Matt
"Go for it." He nodded
"We will hold UltimateChaosmon off as log as we can." Dorumon commented
"But we DO expect backup at some point." Huckmon joked
"We'll be right there." Agumon answered.
"We'll back you up." Gabumon added.
"Once we've dealt with UltimateChaosmon's flunkies of course." Gatomon nodded
Tai threw his Digivice into the air, and caught it with one smooth motion "Let's not leave the lunatic waiting." He smirked
"We're ready." Agumon rolled his shoulders and flexed his claws.
Dorumon and Huckmon nodded as they began to glow alongside the Digidestined's Digimon.
"Dorumon! Warp Digivolve to..." The little dragon/bat/dog howled as his body glowed and, exploding out of the light, was the mighty Mega. Clad in black and gold armour and as tall as a skyscraper. Gold lined the edges of his armour, his armour having a royal feel to it. Large rounded shoulder pads, thick rings around his wrists. His chest jutted forwards in an almost triangular shape from its heavy protection. His waist was tiny compared to his powerful and muscular body, however. At the front of his crotch armour was a red diamond symbol surrounded by gold. From the knees down his armour was large and bulky, to help support his large frame. Three golden claws poked out from under him.
Off his back flowed a slightly tattered dark blue cape, set between two large back and gold poldrens which flowed off his back. The poldrens seemed top be connected to his shoulder pags and almost looked like jet boosters of some sort. His armour was, over all, covered in sharp edges and harsh angles, increasing his aura of dominance. And finally... his head. Covered in more black metal, he had a pair of piercing golden eyes. A red pentagon was set on his forehead, surrounded by gold. A series of flowing spike-like protrusions came off around his jaw and his head. And he had a blood red mouth plate, almost looking like a mouth surrounded by readied fangs from the armour surrounding it. "ALPHAMON!"
"Huckmon! Warp Digivolve to...!" Huckmon proclaimed as he grew in size matching Alphamon.
His draconic body soon turned humanoid, his hind legs turned into pointed silver and white swords, overlapped by white metal with golden star-like shin guards; skeletal metal thighs and skinny waist that was rib-like with a glowing elongated octagonal diamond in his chest. His shoulders were white with golden tipped spikes and blue energy crystals; jet thruster styled white metal bracers with blue energy crystals embedded into the middle protrusions with two long silver swords with red Digi-Code engraved along the blade. A long layered plate-mail tail with a red sword as the tip with silver Digi-Code engraved upon it. Lastly was his head and neck; his neck was covered by Huckmon's red scarf which had grown with him that reached all the way down to his tail and looked like wings. His head was draconic, silver-white metal with a golden jawline and points on his horn and ears.
Floating by Huckmon's new Digivolution were three balls of pure energy, they looked like balls of pure orange fire with two stubby legs and a pair of lengthy swords for arms. Scored into their helmet-like faces each had a different Latin Alphabet letter on their foreheads. 'A', 'P' and 'R'. "JESMON!" He proclaimed.

"JESmon? As in... Jesus monster?" Tai blinked "WHY IS A JESUS MONSTER, A DRAGON MADE OF SWORDS! That is WAAAY too awesome!"
"... Um, thank you." JESmon blinked and took the praise from the leader of the DigiDestined.
"Wait until you visit the Human World, they thrive on our designs in fiction." Alphamon chuckled.
"Let's go guys!" Agumon cheered
"Right!" the others nodded. They all jumped down as they began to glow, as did their partners Digivices.
"Agumon~!" the orange dinosaur cried out as he was enveloped in orange light, flipping a bit as he exploded with power. "WARP Digivolve to!" he roared.
He outright roared as he almost seemed to explode with power, growing up into the full form of the mighty Greymon with the mighty burst. His form was completely coated by orange energy, causing his features to be blurred and barley visible. The powerful beast took a step forwards, his tail thrashing around as he took a step forwards. The step was followed by another explosion of power, his form shifting once more. The tattered purple wings, the metal arm, the chest piece and the helmet. After the second explosion of power, he had changed into MetalGreymon. The cyborg dinosaur almost seemed to spark as he roared, taking another step. His body exploding with another blast of power.
STOMP!
Slamming it's foot onto the ground, the orange skinned dinosaur man Digimon stood tall. The world around him exploding into flames as armour formed around him. An armoured chest with red twisting wires binding it together, rounded shoulder pads with singular spikes, a hexagon shield on his back that split in half as the Crest of Courage formed it's shape onto it's surface. Metal shin armour took shape around his... well, his shins. More red wires keeping them locked in place. His head, completely encased in it's metal armour with three powerful horns traditional for its line. Red hair flowing out of the back of the helmet, not long but noticeable. His green eyes flashing to life. Armour formed around his forearms, the powerful Digimon crossing his arms as he readied his body. The flames growing higher and higher...
SHINK!
The claws suddenly emerged from his gauntlets as he threw his arms out, shattering the flames "WAR!" he roared, his body arching slightly as a giant sun was clearly forming behind him "GREYMON!" he roared, standing mightily among the burning flames
"GABUMON! WARP DIGIVOLVE TOO!" Gabumon began to glow blue as he howled out to the moon. He opened his hands that held the Garurumon fur-pelt around him and lurched forward, the fur merging with his form as his tail thinned down and his horn retreated into his skull as the hands fused with the claws and became his own limbs. Gabumon's round body soon became slim and wolf-like, his ears perked up as he turned once again into Garurumon.
"AROOO!"
But it didn't last long, as his body jutted upwards into a human-stance, as data streamed around him, but no solid form or colour appeared as the outlines of trousers with spiked kneepads grew out, his front paws turned into hands that clenched deeply into his palms as knuckle-dusters and the outlines of shoulder-guards and belts formed around his person, almost lashing onto him to secure the clothing into place.
"ARWOOOO!"
CRASH!
Gabumon, or whatever that form was, crashed front paws first as the sounds of metal and ice formed around him. Once again a quadruped, metal and ice formed around Gabumon, his claws once again grew and shone a metallic red, crawling up his front paws was a blue metal with black wires attaching the joints, on his shoulders were some spikes on blue metal, a yellow neck to his stomach, bearing the blue and purple marked belly of Gabumon, while on his shoulders were yellow rocket launchers with silver spikes protruding from them, his back was covered in the same blue metal and riveted together, his hinds legs had red lights on the top joints while his back-legs had blue metal armour and a black wheel-joint.
SHINK!
Folding out from his back was a pair of yellow protruding wings that looked similar to jetstream wings and a bladed sabre-like tail. And finally, his head, covered with blue metal and fanned blue vents with metal ears and showing his piercing red eyes and white-furred mouth and a glowing red light nose. "METALGARURUMON!" The new form of Gabumon howled proudly as ice seemed to form beneath his feet as the moon itself acknowledged this form.
"Palmon!" She called, preforming a quick backflip "Warp Digivolve To~!" As she landed from her backflip, she was enveloped by a massive pillar of green light. Togemon emerged from the light, preforming a few quick jabs before the body 'shattered' revealing Lillymon. The Ultimate form preformed a quick flip, spinning into the air. As she flew higher, a light came rushing down over her.
A naked woman emerged from the light and landed, black high-heeled latex-like boots forming up her legs to her thighs. A red latex-like bodysuit following case that stopped at her breasts, red latex-like gloves nearing her shoulders. Following that her green leaf cape formed, a vine wrapping around her. A pink flower boomed between her breasts, a red rose clown forming over her head. The light of her skin died down as her peach skin became visible, her bright red lips curling into a smirk "Rosemon!" She proclaimed proudly, whipping at the ground for a few seconds. A massive forest growing around her in seconds.
"Gomamon..." the little white seal called, preforming a back flip as the power of the Crest of Sincerity flowed through him and silver energy burst through him "Warp!" as he flipped, the world shifted into the ocean, Gomamon doing a spin in the air as he dove down into the waters. Waters that where quickly becoming torturous and wild "Digivolve to~!"
SPLASH!
He landed face first into the water as it raged. Silver light bubbling from underneath as the waves exploded out, Ikkakumon pushing himself above the waves as he roared. The fur, and the rest of the body of the Champion, completely encased in silver light as ice began to come rushing down. Snow, snow pattering down onto the raging waters as Ikkakumon dashed forwards. It was almost magical, his form completely changing between the blink of an eye. From Ikkaumon to Zudomon between a small flurry of snow, almost between two individual flakes of snow, a mere blink of existence. Zudomon crawled out of the water, silver still encasing his form as the snow turned into a full blizzard. He roared as he flashed with power, but was quickly frozen over.

SHATTER!
The ice shattered away, revealing the white furred form of Gomamon's mega as he emerged from his prison. Using his pure strength to break through the hold. Straps and a furred pelt quickly took shape onto his body, his shields forming onto his shoulder and his viking helmet also taking their required place.
SHATTER!
And his morning stars flew from his back, shattering a giant glacier that had been falling towards him, before taking their place on his back "GRAAAAAAAAAAA!" The Mega howled out, flexing his muscles as the ice came crashing down behind him "VIKEMON!" he roared into the arctic wasteland
"Tentomon!" the red bug cried out as he took flight, purple energy sparking around him like lightning as he flew towards the skied. Skies that where beginning to grow dark and crackle "Warp Digivolve!" Tentomon cried as he entered the storm clouds, the purple lightning spreading into the clouds but also growing over his own form until he appeared to be within a cocoon of pure energy "TO!"
BOOM!
With a thunderclap, a glowing purple Kabuterimon burst through some clouds, roaring and slashing at the clouds. Almost seeming to try and pull them in towards him. The energy began to grow and grow more, lightning coming down to strike his body
BOOM!
MegaKabuterimon threw himself out of the clouds, roaring as his body was still crackling with purple energy. Unable to withstand his own strength. Landing in a wasteland, MegaKabuterimon was crouched down a bit. His form shaking, as several large purple lightning bolts came rushing down at him. Aimed right at him
KRAKABOOM!
The Digimon roared, the Mega Level of Tentomon throwing himself out of storm as the golden shell took shape. Hardening. His four arms spread wide as he roared, his jaw opening with another mighty roar. His three horns sparked with power as he posed, snarling out "HerculesKabuterimon!" he cried out, lightning sparking across the ground wasteland
"Biyomon Warp Digivolve to!" Biyomon called out proudly as she jumped into the air, taking flight. Her wings pushing powerfully, throwing herself into the sky. Her form glowed bright red as she flapped her wings, throwing herself up towards the clear skies. Flames surrounded her, throwing her higher and higher. The fire bursting away to reveal Birdramon, the bird dragon roaring/screeching as she flew high. Rushing higher and higher, clouds passing in the blink of an eye. Birdramon was surrounded by a small tornado of fire, Garudamon flapping her wings as she burst from the clouds. Growing larger and larger, the stars becoming visible as she neared another layer of clouds...
FWOOSH~!
More flames surrounded her as she flew past the clouds, hear the boarder of space. The flaming form of Biyomon's Mega form flapped her four wings proudly, the golden feathers glittering as the sun rose above the planet slightly. Her tail feathers flowing freely behind her, her golden helmet placed proudly atop her head as she gave out a mighty cry of her name "Hououmon~!" she cried out, the sun glowing behind her as she flew at the boarders of space
"Patamon!" the flying hamster cheered as he flapped up high, doing a spin as his body eroupted onto light. He almost seemed teleported into a holy realm, the yellow energy growing to form an egg as he sat there surrounded by clouds and temples "Warp Digivolve to~!" he cried out as the egg grew... and shattered out. Angemon widened his stance, grunting softly as his body flexed. Emerging from the egg, glowing with power, as darkness ruished towards him. MagnaAngemon span, bringing his energy blade down to eradicate the shadows as he stood back up slowly.
FLASH!
A brilliant glow then enveloped Patamon's now Ultimate form, hiding MagnaAngemon from view entierly as he grew larger.
CLANG!
The sound of smashing metal filled the air, as an armoured fist smashed through the light. Heavenly light flowing down onto the now Mega as he stood tall. His regal armour shimmering in the celestial glow "Seraphimon~!" he breathed out confidantly
"Ga~to~mon!" the cat called out, sitting in a medow as she gave a feline roar, a flick of her tail throwing her Holy Ring into the air. Lowering herself she prepared to pounce, her body tensing, before throwing herself upwards with all her might "WARP!" she yelled, passing through the ring as her body turned into pink light "Digi~volve~! To~!" The pink glow flew up as heavenly streams flowed down. The Holy Ring growing larger and hanging there like a gate in the sky.
The pink glow shattered away to reveal Angewomon, the female angel striking a pose before she began to descend. A look of peace on her face as she passed through the Holy Ring once more, feet first. The Ring faded slowly as she passed through it. As angel went in, out came a holy beast. Until the angelic dragon let out an all powerful roar "Magnadramon!" the cried out as the peaceful medow was filled with small angelic beings, brought down by her holy protection.
The world returned to normal around the Eight, the Mega's charging forth
"CHARGE!" Alphamon proclaimed as they surged forth and caught the attention of Gennai and Meicoomon.
"My Lord! They are here!" Gennai called
UltimateChaosmon looked down at the Megas flying right at them, uncaring and looked at Gennai. "Advance."
"DIGITIZE SOUL!" Alphamon roared, unleashign a powerful blast of digital energy forward and attacked the army, its origin came from Alphamon and ready to end this horrible fight. "ULTIMATECHAOSMON!" He roared as, in a flash, he transformed. Changing into OURYUKEN mode "MODE CHANGE! ALPHAMON! OURYUKEN MODE!" he roared proudly, his wings bursting open as he gripped his giant golden axe/sword
"I know those swords." UltimateChaosmon looked upon Alphamon and JESmon.
"OC GENERICS!" JESmon cried as he was surrounded by his power, preforming a mighty X energy slash. The Digimon who followed UltimateChaosmon saw this oncoming attack and dodged out of the way, only for the massive hand come down to block it.
"COME ON!" WarGreymon roared, rushing at Darkdramon. The Darkdramon saw the oncoming WarGreymon and snarled. It wouldn't be beaten by such a weaker Digimon.
CLANG!
The Dramon Destroyer and Giga Stick Lance clashed and sparked, these two powerful Dragonoid Digimon glaring right into each other's eyes. "I'm gonna show you why I'm the Dragon Slayer!" WarGreymon snarled
HerculesKabuterimon charged forwards, slamming his powerful horn into RustTyrannomon's chest and trying to drag him into the air "Grr! You damn bug! You can't lift me! I'm a Metal Empire type!" RustTyranomon glared. "You stupid Insect!"
"Just shut up!" HerculesKabuterimon grunted as his wings were sounding like thunder. "It doesn't matter what field you are! If you're in a fight with Megas, you're on equal footing!"
Vikemon roared as he came rushing down, bringing his morning stars down to clash against Boltmon's axe The two Digimon grunted as they glared into each others eyes. "You're strong, you overgrown walrus!" Boltmon jeered. "But it's not enough!"
"It takes more than just strength to win a fight!" Vikemon responded, sparks flying past his fur.
Hououmon let out a battle cry, rushing towards Ornismon. The pair clashed within the sky, letting out battle screeches as the shook the clouds away with their mighty wings. Fire, both golden and purple, flying across the sky as the two tried toi strike the other
Rosemon gripped her whip and struck forwards to the Lotsumon she had chosen as her opponent, a trail of rose petals leaving her Cape "Time to prune this weed!" She mocked, using her whip to deflect the bursts of energy her foe shot at her
"There's only room for one Prima Donna here!" Lotusmon glared as she fired at Rosemon.
Seraphimon flew forwards and began to fire upon the DarkKnightmon, his glowing fists slamming into the armoured body of the Virus Mega. The black clad knight used his Lance to slash at Seraphimon, snarling in rage at him. The two opposites glared right at each other and continued their assault. "Keep your holy face out of this, angel!" DarkKnightmon glared.
"I won't give up this easily, fallen knight!" Seraphimon answered.
CLANG!
CLASH!
Next, we see a giant volcanic black snake-like dragon Digimon, hissing with two massive red claws, orange-yellow 'wings' jutting from its back and rows of eyes in its head, as Magnadramon flew over it and rained down dragon fire from above. "Burn! This world will all burn!" Nidhoggmon glared as he spewed flames at her.
"No, we are going to protect this world and the human world!" She proclaimed.
"FREEZING BREATH!" MetalGarurumon roared as he shot out a blast of freezing energy right at his enemy. Dodging out of the way, but clipped on their hooves and wheels, was Mitamamon skating away.
"Such vulgarity. Such belongs to the rambunctious humans." the mystical mega frowned
"Stop sounding so superior!" MetalGarurumon snarled.
The humans arrived down at the base of the tree, watching as the chaotic battle continued
"You've got this, guys!" Tai called out with determination.
"Come on! Kick their asses!" TK yelled out
"You've got this, Rosemon!" Mimi cheered up to them.
"Soar high, Hououmon!" Sora called out.
"Take them down, HerculesKabuterimon!" Izzy cheered.
"Freeze them solid, Vikemon!" Joe followed.
"Rip them apart!" Matt followed up.
"Go on Magnadramon, show them no mercy!" Kari cheered
"M-" Meiko was about to cheer... And stopped herself, looking down in shame. She didn't have a partner. Not anymore. And this meant so much more than just cheering for them.
"Those damn Royal Knights, I thought we took care of them!" Gennai thought angrily to himself.
"Ultimate! OURYUKEN!" Alphamon roared as his blade glowed with a golden might, slashing at the giant. A massive wave if energy that ripped the ground below it apart... And UltimateChaosmon just slapped it to pieces
"... Weak..." UltimateChaosmon's voice echoed through the area, having grown past this fear and 'weakness'.
"With two of us this may be impossible..." Alphamon frowned
"But who cares! We're gonna try anyway, fighting for what's right! Foe the justice we believe in!" JESmon roared "Watch me, Sensei! I'll make you proud!"
"The justice ... They believe in?" Meicoomon whispered. As the Megas on their side were fighting the DigiDestined's group, a strike of powerful lightning came from Boltmon who had gotten a clear view at the DigiDestined. Meicoomon's eyes widened in shock as they saw the bolt of lightning come down at them, specifically down in Meiko's general direction. "NO!" She cried out and leapt forwards through the battle.
In a burst of energy, Meicoomon Digivolved into Meicrackmon, seeing the lightning crash towards her, she felt slow...but she had to get faster, she had to save her!
She rushed forwards and got in front of the DigiDestined, shielding them all with her body as she screamed in agony "MEICOOMON!" Meiko screamed in horror as she saw the Digimon sparking. Meicrackmon screamed as she tried to take the power of the Mega, jerking in pain as she was taking such a powerful strike. When the strike finally ended, she reverted to her champion form. She crashed to the form, Meicrackmon as Meicoomon once more and then reverted lower. Back to Plotmon, her rookie form
"M... Meicoomon?" Meiko asked in shock and confusion, getting on her knees
"Mei... ko..." Plotmon whispered, her eyes half-lidded from the pain and tried to stay awake.
"You... You fool! You idiot! Why did you do that?!" Gennai snapped
"Get back, Gennai! Our partners may be fighting, but we know how to throw a punch!" Tai threatened.
"Yeah. We have trained over the years." Matt grinned
"Meicoomon... Plotmon! Why?!" Gennai ranted
"Because. I chose. Her." Plotmon whispered. "She's. My family." Her statement made the DigiDestined and Gennai's eyes widen as they froze "I chose Meiko. Over destruction." She tried to get up, her fur slightly singed from the lightning. "I CHOOSE Meiko... Over destruction!"
"W... What?!" Gennai gasped
"I have been following UltimateChaosmon... Because I was alone. Because I was dealt an unlucky hand. Because the world wanted to beat me down and kill me, day after day after day. I wasn't some lucky Digimon created to be the partner of a hero. I wasn't some great wise Digimon who found their purpose and grew. I was a rookie.
