Remember the Legend
By: Michael Pelland
In the distance I should see
Something that was not be
Mighty kingdoms born to fame
Now lie in bitter shame.
Three brothers sworn an oath
To die the same day as given qoute
Yet their promise was in vain
Cast the sword of anothers blame
Honor passed in family and blood
Lived the Tiger of the Sun
And yet his strength even failed
So lives the legend that forever taled.
Her songs as sweet as honey wine
Her hymns alone so sublime
In tragedy she was to bear
With no one present that could care
A mighty hero born to strength
Little survived past his wake
Though strong he was could he depart?
In that he betrayed his own heart.
A great leader as he came
Emerging from the ash and flame
Though many would flock to his will
His ambition alone denied his kill.
I look upon these last remains
Of what little is left of their fame
And though long has the eons been long
None forget this bitter song.
A time of trial and time of need
A dawn from which all should bleed
Yet even in the darkest days
Stood an ethic of honorable ways.
