The Unbelievable Battle: Harry vs Ron
This couldnÕt be happening. No. Hermione was in disbelief. She had encountered times when her two best friends had been at eachothersÕ throats, but this was much more serious. Here they were, thirty paces or more parted across a room with a slight fire in both of their eyes, vying for the one goal: to have Hermione. They were glaring at eachother with undeniable ferocity. Harry yelled.
ÒYou think I was going to just hand her over to you? YOU??Ó
Ron replied, ÒOH what?? Mr. I-always-have-to-be-the-center-of-attention? You think youÕre all that just because you survived a curse. WHO CARES? YouÕre just a self-pretentious, big-headed, attention loving fraud. YOUÕRE NOTHING!Ó
Hermione was becoming quite ecstatic from these events. How could this happen; two guys fighting for HER heart? It was unbelievable. She had to stop it.
ÒWhy are you two DOING this? IÕm not worth youÕre friendship being destroyed!Ó
Harry and Ron yelled in unison ÒTO ME YOU ARE!Ó
ÒWHAT,Ó Ron screamed. ÒYOU ONLY TOOK NOTICE IN HER WHEN I DID!Ó
Harry looked taken aback. ÒAre you joking??? IÕve loved her ever since I set EYES on her!Ó
Hermione interjected. ÒThen why didnÕt you ever tell me?Ó
Harry turned to her. He opened his mouth but nothing escaped besides the slight wisp of air that passed by his lips as he sighed. He dropped his head and said nothing.
Hermione began to become teary-eyed, ÒSo what Ron said is true, isnÕt it Harry?Ó
ÒNO!Ó He yelled with a look of pitiful terror in his eyes. He was cornered. He loved her, but was it for the right reasons? Was he just doing it to spite Ron? No not at all. I mean hes way over Ch-
ÒWhat about Cho, potty?Ó Ron said. That was the first time he heard Ron call him ÔPottyÕ. ON the outside he was flaming with uncontrollable rage, but inside he was weeping wildly. That was it. He became stern and solemn. ÒOnly one way to settle this, Ron. And, trust me, youÕre not going to like it.Ó
ÒDo your worstÓ Ron said with a minute twinge in his voice.
ÒA duel. You and meÓ Harry said. Ron looked aghast. He couldnÕt beat Harry. He was thinking hard to himself. YouÕve got no chance. HeÕll blow you awayÉno donÕt think like that. Psyche yourself up. ItÕs for HermioneÉsheÕs all that mattersÉ
