"Hey Kenny, have you seen my other sock? I'm sure I had it somewhere…" the boisterous Tyson asked as he dropped to his knees to search under the bed. Dirty garments laid askew, covering almost every corner of the hotel room they were sharing. With his eyes still focusing on the floor, he did not see the younger boy retreat back into the embrace of his blanket. He did hear a very loud roll of thunder & an equally loud squeak. All thought of finding his lost socks abandoned, he turned to seek the source of the squeak & found his "roommate" huddled under the thick sheets. "Kenny…are you alright?" he coaxed gently as he slowly pulled back the covers.
"I'm fine…" Kenny replied shakily, trying his best to put on a brave front but obviously failing. Another flash of thunder & he instinctively pulled the blanket tighter around his body, eyes staring at the creases of the white material. Unexpectedly, he felt a warm body embrace him protectively.
"Sure you're fine," the dark blue haired boy grinned. He kicked off his shoe & crawled in beside Kenny, ready to fend off any evils coming after the Chief.
