I've only seen her so bright once before, and that, I'm proud to say, was at our wedding day. She wears the same look she had back then: dreamy eyes, flushed cheeks, and a presence borne of an inner strength and knowledge that what she is doing is right.
The look she gave as she extended the impossibly tiny bundle towards me broke my heart. I could never love her enough.
I'm a daddy.
I touched a fingertip to a tiny hand, gasping as it curled around mine.
I looked up at Relena, eyes saying what I could not.
A wife. And now a son.
What a perfect life.
