Disclaimer: I do, in fact, own the Harry Potter books. Problem is, all I refer to when I say that are the five books stacked by my computer. So yeah. Don't sue. You don't want me to get out my chainsaw wielding froggy demons, now do you? *evil cackle*
WARNING!: The very first line of this is a spoiler. If you haven't read the 5th book and don't want to ruin the surprise, shoo! Shoo, I tells ya!

My father is in Azkaban.
I think that's the first time I've ever put that into words without 'but he'll be out soon' directly behind it. They say that admitting what's hurting you helps you deal with it, even if it is only in your head. Huh. That's funny. Then why do I feel like someone hit me with a load of bricks?
My father is in Azkaban.
Out of all the people I've ever thought to end up there, Lucius was certainly never one of them. A foolish thing, I know, considering I knew about some of the things he did in his spare time. I guess I've just always thought him mighty and all powerful, above whatever trivial things the Ministry could do to him. Guess what? I was wrong.
My father is in Azkaban.
You know, it's funny that I still think of him that way. He's tried so hard to drill into my head that he is nothing but my better. Someone to please, someone to fear. None of those lovey-dovey feelings that muggle-loving fools like Weasel believe in. Emotions interfere with judgment, after all. I never listened. I loved him, and sought to please him out of that rather than fear. Or I thought I did, anyway. I've begun to notice the a distinct lack of fear around me here after they took him away. Well. Looks like I was wrong again.
My father is in Azkaban.
The place where horrid, evil people go when they've committed their horrid, evil crimes. For murderers.. and for Death Eaters. I suppose it's really the same thing. I've always known that he prided himself on the purity of our lineage, but serving you-kn-- Voldemort? I never thought him the type to do others' dirty work. Seems I'm wrong quite often.
My father is in Azkaban.
And though I try to think I have, I don't think I can accept it.

So there you go. A short drabble by my favorite character, Draco. I dare say the poor guy had next to no part in OotP. *sigh* Oh well, anyways. This will be a one shot unless my muses(or reviewers! *hint hint*) come up with an actual plot.
