Unfortunately.
He stared at his reflection in the lake. The one he had seen that day looked almost identical. An almost identical body and the exact same messy hair. Just the eyes...the eyes were a beautiful, brilliant green. He picked up a stone and threw it into the water, shattering his reflection. Just like Lily. He sighed and shook his head to clear his head from the thought.
At first he thought it was a crazy fan, trying to look like him. But he had changed his mind as soon as he remembered that no one, no one had the same kind of hair like his. 'Maybe he's a morphing-thingy guy, like Tonks,' he wondered later.
But later he had different thoughts. 'It could have been a hallucination...'
"Hi James," called Sirius as he plopped softly onto the grass beside his friend. "Whatcha thinkin' bout?"
James shrugged before sighing.
"Evans, eh?"
James hesitated. 'That's a good excuse...' "Yeah."
"Look, kiddo-"
"Don't call me kiddo."
"-she'll come to her senses-"
"She already is in her senses."
"-it'll take time for her to realise-"
"She realised pretty well enough."
"-you're not bad-"
"Not bad?!?! NOT BAD?!"
Sirius jumped back. They had had this conversation a million times before, the same words and everything, and not once had James shouted at him.
"Relax, buddy, take a chill pi-"
"Not bad?! I mess up my hair thinking it's CUTE. I try to show off every chance I get. And I randomly play tricks on everyone. Not bad?!"
"B-"
"Don't tell me to take a chill pill." With these words James got off the ground and stormed off. Everyone stared at him before changing their line of view towards Sirius. He shrugged. "Don't look at me, I'm just his best friend."
