Anger still courses through my veins as I seek Catherine out, Eddie's words echoing in my ears.

*"I always knew you two had a thing."*

I find her in my office, her knees drawn to her chest, tears coursing down her face. I've always hated Eddie's ability to do this to her.

I perch on the sofa next to her. There's no need for words as I wrap my arms around her shoulders and guide her face into my chest.

I hold her as she sobs, whispering softly into her ear, wanting nothing more than to take her pain away.
