Disclaimer: I do not own anything from the Potterverse
A/N: Apparently all of my readers were disappointed that I wasn't going to write any more of this, so as a present to all of you, I decided to finish this up! It will be a bit darker than the previous chapter, and as I'm sure we all know, this whole story is not OotP-compatible.
Wormtail and Prongs are...
The laughter at the table stopped and everyone grew silent. They all looked at Remus and Sirius, both of whom were staring into air. Sirius's expression alternated between extreme anger and extreme sadness, and Remus's expression was carefully blank. Harry shoved his chair back and stood up, making all the eyes in the room, except for those belonging to Remus and Sirius, swivel to him. Harry walked around the table and stopped in front of his godfather's chair, kneeling down and taking Sirius's hand.
"Sirius." Harry said, but that was enough. Sirius slowly turned his head until he was facing Harry, and he blinked a bit. His blue eyes lost a bit of their darkness, and he smiled a bit.
"Harry," Sirius said, his voice a bit hoarse. "I...I can't tell them, I...it's..."
"It's okay, Sirius," Harry replied, giving his godfather's hand a squeeze and then releasing it. "I'll tell them."
"Thank you," Sirius whispered, and Harry stood up again. He straightened, and then turned to face the rest of the people at the table, all of whom were focused on him and what he had to say, especially Fred and George.
"Wormtail and Prongs...well, Wormtail was Peter Pettigrew," Harry said, and held up a hand for silence when Percy, Fred, George, and Ginny made outraged noises.
"A Marauder, become a Death Eater? Never!" Fred and George exclaimed together.
"That's what we thought too," Remus said, and everyone turned to face him now. Remus just gave a sad smile and lapsed back into silence. Everyone turned back toward Harry.
"Well, what about Prongs, then?" Fred asked.
Harry's expression grew thoughtful, and he gave himself a little shake before he finally spoke. "Prongs was...Prongs was my father."
"Oh," Fred said in a small voice. "I'm sorry, Harry."
Harry smiled, and genuine smile. "It's okay, Fred. It was a long time ago, and my dad wouldn't want us to beat ourselves up about it," Harry said, more to Sirius than to Fred or George. Sirius looked up, and he smiled when he met Harry's eyes, and when Remus put a hand on his shoulder, lending him strength and support.
"You're right, Harry," Sirius said. "James...much as I miss him, he wouldn't want his death to be the focus of my life. I'm just glad that you're still here with me."
Harry gave him a smile, and Remus squeezed his shoulder before letting go. Sirius smiled at his oldest friend before turning back to the rest of the table and saying lightly, "Well, now that that's over...I want to hear about the exploits of Hogwarts's latest pranksters! Huh, Remus?"
"Oh yes," Remus smiled. "We must judge if they are worthy of the Marauders."
The Weasley family and guests resumed their laughter as Fred and George happily related their pranks to their idols.
