*I Don't*
~Brazen~ By Angela
Chapter 1The music started to play and Courtney walked gracefully down the aisle, it was as if she were floating. She never took her eyes off Jason; he looked gorgeous in his tux. She had been waiting for this day all her life. Her wedding from AJ had been nothing like this and it never would be. She finally made it all the way and stood across from Jason. She smiled, blinking back tears of happiness. They had agreed to make their own vows right from the heart. She hadn't even written her down, she remembered every single beautiful word. She looked him in the eyes and recited them. She managed to get through them without bursting into tears. When she finished, she laughed and wiped a stray tear from her eye. She looked at him, waiting for him to begin when all of a sudden she heard the doors burst open. Turning around to see whom it was, she gasped. It was Brenda; she glared at the brunette for ruining such a wonderful moment. She glanced at Jason, expecting him to have the same reaction but was surprised to see that he actually looked relieved.
"Brenda, what are you doing here?" He breathed.
"I'm so sorry for ruining you're day but I had to tell you." Brenda replied, out of breath.
"Tell me?" He asked in confusion. "Tell me what?"
Brenda glanced at Courtney in her white dress and veil. "I came back because I had to tell you that I love you!" She blurted out.
Jason looked at her in shock. She had come back to tell him that she loved him. He looked at Courtney, her usually beautifully face distorted into a look of horror. He looked back at Brenda and took a deep breath. He knew what he had to do. "I love you too." He said simply.
Brenda looked up at him with her big brown eyes and smiled for the first time since she had left Port Charles. He leaned down and kissed her, gently at first then with more passion. When the kiss finally ended, he opened his eyes and remembered that Courtney was there. He turned around to explain to her but she was already gone and the whole church was gaping at them.
"You will pay for that." Sonny glared at him and ran off after Courtney.
Carly walked up to Jason with tears burning in her eyes. "Jason, you've been my best friend for as long as I can remember and even if I don't always support you're choice of women, I've always supported you. But if you choose her," She said glancing at Brenda. "Then I will not." She glared at them and stalked off.
"Why don't we take this somewhere more private?" Brenda suggested softly.
Jason nodded and led her into the backroom. When they got there, they both sat on either ends of the couch. The silence was overbearing but Brenda finally broke it. "Did you really mean it?"
"Mean what?" Jason asked, confused.
She punched his shoulder, playfully. "When you said you loved me, did you mean it?"
"Of course I did. I was standing there not sure that I could go through with it. Marrying Courtney I mean and then you walked in. It was as if it was a sign from above or something. I knew right then and there what I had to do."
Brenda broke into a smile and wrapped her arms around him in a hug. "You know that she's probably never going to forgive you right?"
"I'll make her understand, she has to." He tried to convince her but also trying to convince himself.
