Beauty and the Beast.
Tale as old as time, True as it can be, Barely even friends, Then somebody bends, Unexpectedly.
Just a little change, Small, to say the least, Both a little scared, Neither one prepared, Beauty and the Beast,
Ever just the same, Ever a surprise, Ever as before, Ever just as sure, As the sun will arise.
Tale as old as time, Tune as old as song, Bittersweet and strange, Finding you can change, Learning you were wrong.
Certain as the sun, Rising in the east, Tale as old as time, Song as old as rhyme, Beauty and the Beast.
James Logan was a wealthy prince. Wealthy, yet rude. He stayed away from people, and shunned whoever came near him and his castle.
One night, an old beggar woman came knocking at his door. She pleaded for a place to stay there away from the cold January night. In return she offered him a single red rose. He saw the beggar woman's haggard appearance and shunned her away from his castle. She warned him though. Appearances may be deceiving, she said. Logan scoffed at her warning and turned to walk away, but something stopped him.
The beggar woman burst into flames. Originally Logan started to panic, but from the flames, out came a beautiful redheaded sorceress. Logan immediately fell to his knees.
"Wh-who are you?" He asked in shock.
"I am the Phoenix," she replied, "and because of your horrible judgment and behavior, something has to be done." With that she worked her magic, cursing Prince James Logan and his entire castle. "You may be able to redeem yourself, Prince Logan. I am giving you this rose. If you can get someone to love you for the real you, not how you may appear by the last petal wilting and the rose's death, you can return to yourself." And in a burst of flames, The Phoenix left.
Logan was left devastated. Who would ever learn to love a Beast? Much less… A Wolverine.
A/N- OK so it's short, and it might be off to a bit of a rocky start. Please review tho, and no flames Sil Vous Plait? I kno this isn't exactly how the Xmen saga goes, but hey, I thought it would make for an interesting story. Just wait till you see who Cogsworth, Lumierre, the stove, and all of them are. Hehehe… BUT you have to review to find out! Or else, I'll be too depressed to write another chapter! Lovya!
