One Sunday, at Confirmation class, we had a guest speaker, who, to my surprise, was actually pretty good. And something he said really stuck with me. Most people, when they think about Jesus dieing for their sins, think about Him dying for the sins of the world. What they don't usually realize (and this includes me) is that even if you were the only person in the world, He still would have died for your salvation. Sooo, a wonderful new poem (OK, a sucky new poem) from yours truly. Here it is.

He came to earth to pay for your sins

To die for you - just for you

He left the glory and splendor of Heaven

For you - only you

He suffered and died

To save you - you, and you alone

Beaten and whipped

Not for humanity but for you - only you

And He rose again, giving you a chance at Heaven

You - just you

Because He loves you, as if you were the only person on this planet.

You, and only you.

I know it sucks, all my poetry does. OK, all my writing in general. Just review the stupid thing, will you? Feel free to flame, but please,
constructive criticism only. I'd really like to improve, which I can't do until I know what needs work. What are you waiting for? Review!! Now!!
