Dedication: Um.....for anyone who wants it, really.

Warning: Slash hints, still.

Author's Note: This one really isn't getting too much feedback. But I enjoy it, I personally think it's rather humorous. So I wrote another chapter. It was actually pretty easy going. So enjoy!

Past, Present, Future

Chapter Two

Sirius paced back and forth, hands shoved deeply into his pockets. He sighed, thoughts running back and forth inside of his head. He had tucked Remi's journal away, not wanting to read it. He could only imagine what had been written inside of it. And Harry had read it. Harry knew all of it. Knew about Remus' relationship with Severus, knew what Sirius had done, and why he had done it. And he probably knew about Peter, too.

//What am I gonna tell Remi?// That was the worst part. He was going to have to explain to Remus that Harry had found the journal, and that he'd read it. Remi would know there was something up with Harry, he'd be able to smell it.

//This is awful.// Especially considering the object of all this trauma was going to be arriving any minute. He was already in the school, he was simply speaking with Dumbledore.

//I've got to give it back to him.// What if Remus thought *he* had read it? The temptation was there, but half of him didn't want to know. He knew there would be a large amount of gushing over Snape, and that was one of the last things he wanted to read about.

"Sirius?" There was a knock at his half opened door, along with the quiet query.

"Remi!" He turned, arms open. He'd deal with everything in a few minutes, after Remus was settled. The werewolf went eagerly into the arms of his friend, hugging him tightly.

"What's wrong?" Remus immediately drew back, amber eyes full of fear and concern.

"Nothing all that bad." Sirius gave a little chuckle, shaking his head at the werewolf's reaction.

"You...you're worried about something..." Remus was searching his friend's face, mouth pulled down in confusion. //This is what I want to save Harry from...//

"Calm down. Compared to all the shit that's going on now, this is nothing." Sirius gave Remus a pat on the shoulder, before drawing away. He bent down under his bed, pulling out the journal. "It's just this..." He tossed the little book to Remus, who frowned at it , not comprehending.

"Is this...what I think it is?"

"Yeah." Sirius nodded, hands back in his pockets. "Harry found it...in with some of James' old stuff."

"Huh." Remus turned it over, and flipped through the pages. "I didn't write too much in it, did I?"

"I don't know." Sirius shrugged. "I didn't read it. But...Harry did."

"Oh?" Immediate fear. Remus' eyes shot upwards, locking on Sirius'. "How much?"

"All of it." Sirius nodded. "Yeah. He came right to me afterwards. He feels bad about it, but...I don't know. I don't know what you wrote in there, but I think it sort of freaked Harry out."

"I can imagine..." Remus sighed, sitting down heavily on the one chair the rooms provided. "Oh dear."

"What um...what did you write in there, anyway? Just...just so I have a rough idea..."

"Well, if I remember correctly I went into rather intimate detail concerning my blossoming sex life." Remus was flushing red now. "Oh god...this was when I lost my virginity..." He looked like he wanted to cry.

"You're sort of in a mess, aren't you?" Sirius sat down on his bed, struck by the humor of the situation. Remus had a tendency to a bit over-dramatic at time.

"And...I used names. I used names. Oh god!" It was as if a sudden thought had just struck Remus. A very, very bad thought.

"What?" Now Sirius wished he *had* read the journal.

"Just...just someone I slept with. Back in school. When I was upset." He shook his head, sighing. "You know...I don't think it's a good idea when you feel you have to justify your youth-especially to yourself."

"So you made a mistake.' Sirius shrugged. //So Harry knows he slept with Snape. Big deal...//

"Lucius Malfoy was more then just a *mistake*."

"What?" Well, that was something he hadn't known. "When did that happen?"

"After Severus and I broke up..." Remus sighed. "It was a stupid thing to do, and I regret it now..."

"I'd hope so!" Sirius made a face, and shuddered. Sure, Lucius had been good looking back in school, but a complete and total ass.

"What am I going to do?" Remus buried his head in his hands, groaning.

"Noting. It's over and done with, and you can't have Harry un-read it." Sirius patted his friend on the shoulder comfortingly. "It's really not that big a deal."

"Maybe not for you!" Remus snapped. He collapsed onto his back on Sirius' bed, sighing loudly. There was a knock at the door, and Sirius could only wonder who it was.

"Now's not that good a....hey, Harry." Sirius wasn't sure if this was going to improve things or make them worse. //More entertaining, either way.// And hopefully Harry and Remus would be able to clear the air and deal with things now. "Just in time! Guess who's here?"

"Oh no..." Harry shook his head, backing away. "He's not *here*, here, is he?"

"Yup." Sirius opened the door all the way. "Remus, Harry's here." He called out, which was met with another dramatic groan.

"Erm...hi." Harry said, slipping through the door. He was looking at the floor, and Sirius chuckled to himself.

"Hello, Harry." Remus said, his voice heavy.

"You told him!" Was the first thing out of Harry's mouth.

"Um....yeah." Sirius admitted, shrugging. "Sorry. I sort of had to."

"Professor Lupin, I'm *so* sorry. I...it was in with my dad's stuff and..."

Remus just held up his hand, to silence whatever Harry was going to say. Sirius gave Harry a sympathetic look. He'd read the journal, he knew how Remi was.

"It's all right Harry." Remus said, sitting up and trying to look calm. "All of that happened a very long time ago. Honestly, I'd forgotten all about it."

The look Harry was give Remus clearly said he didn't believe it. Sirius personally thought that it was a stupid, stupid thing to say. But Remus was probably still in the very quiet stages of panic.

"Anyway...." Sirius decided he had to step in. "Remus just got here, I'm sure he wants to settle down."

"I really am sorry..." Harry offered again.

"Harry." Remus stood up, smiling warmly. "It's really all right. We'll just not speak of it again."

"I think that's a *really* good idea." Harry said, nodding. "I'll just...I'll leave you guys alone. So you can settle in. Well, *you* can, Sirius already...I'm just gonna go."

Sirius had to stifle a laugh. It was funny, seeing Harry that way. His godson was backing out of the room, a rather stricken look on his face.

"Well this is a fine mess." Remus said, folding his arms at Sirius.

"It's no big deal!" Sirius didn't see what the problem was. So Harry had a little glimpse into Remus' misspent youth. So what? There were worse things, really. Well, probably.

"Maybe not to you, Sirius." Remus said. "But to me it is. And...you understand of course, that certain individuals can know *nothing* of this situation."

"Hey, I'm staying out of it." Sirius held up his hands. He thought it was funny, really. But Remus didn't. Well, Remus always was the serious one.

"Thank you." Remus said. "Now...well, I doubt Harry's going to be bringing it up."

"I don't think so." Sirius agreed, the corners of his mouth still twitching in an effort not to smile.

"And I certainly won't."

"Of course not."

"And so we should be fine." Remus smoothed his robes, and Sirius understood he was mroe trying to conviince himself. 'I'll...I'll speak to him about it."

"Probably a good idea." Oh, Sirius only wished he could be there for it.

"He's getting everything out of context, you understand."

"Certainly is."

"This isn't funny." Remus frowned.

"Not in the least." Obviously, Sirius hadn't been doing a very good job at keeping a straight face.

"Then stop grinning like that."

"Sorry." Sirius composed his face. "Look...you get settled in. Take it easy, and give him some time. Then you can talk to him."

"Yes." Remus smoothed his robes again-even though they didn't need it-and gave Sirius a small smile. "I'll just be going now. I'll come by later for tea?"

"Sounds good."

Remus gave another vague smile, and wandered out the door. Leaving-to Sirius' delight-his old journal...
