That fateful day,
He gallantly fell,
for the sake of his country,
He served them all well.

He guarded the miko,
With all of his strength,
Yet it wasn't enough,
To defeat the enemy's life length.

The dazzling jewels,
The golden royalty,
Was only the exterior
Of this man's loyalty.

Narcissism was only a little,
For he was much more,
His heart was so gentle,
So caring to the core,

He only loved one,
But his wish unfulfilled
He did find another
Not fully by will

He always loved her,
How could he not?
But she was not his,
By Tamahome the priestess was caught.

In his last attempt to speak,
He uttered her name,
His only true love,
Miaka...
