Harry laughed haughtily, "That was horrible Ron! But it did have its charm…"
Ron grinned under his freckles mischievously, "I warned you, but could you imagine Hermione's face if she'd been here?"
Harry laughed some more as he stuffed a bite of scrambled eggs into his mouth as Hermione set down on the other side of him. "What's so funny guys?" she inquired.
Ron's face had became incredibly red when she'd came to the table but Harry spoke first, "Nothing' 'Mione, just guy things."
Hermione shrugged and helped herself to some toast, "Well, if it's any recollection to you two I think we should…"she stopped suddenly as a blob of rice pudding splatted on her face.
Malfoy's high laughter rang across the hall, "Look at the Mudblood pig!"
Hermione whipped out her wand and brandished it in Malfoy's direction, "We'll see wh-" she was cut off by Ron pushing her back, "I'll take care of this…"
Ron leapt over the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff tables. Just as he reached where Malfoy was sitting (Malfoy was looking quite bemused by now and quite unprepared) he stopped in mid-air just above the Slytherin table. "MR. WEASLEY!" Prof. Mc Gonagal shouted across the room as she paced toward him her wand pointed at him suspending him in mid air. "What do you think you are doing?" she asked him scornfully. He then realized what exactly he was doing. He was defending Hermione. His face suddenly became nearly purple as he blushed. "I-I I-I…" Ron stammered, "I was-Malfoy hit Hermione in the face with pudding Proffessor!" Malfoy's face also began to redden but with anger.
Hermione had bustled her self over to the place where McGonagal still had Ron suspended. She was wiping the last bit of pudding from her face. "Well I have no record of Miss Granger having any thing to do with this so Mr. Weasley, you and Mr. Malfoy will meet in my office after breakfast for punish now if you two will kindly return to your seats, I would like to finish my meal."
She let Ron down to the ground gently and he and Hermione walked back to the Grypffindor table. Ron's face was still quite red, "You missed a spot 'Mione."
