Friends?

Hey! My name is Cara and I go to carver high. I'm a sophomore and I want to tell you a story about a boy named Carl. Carl was not a very popular guy in fact he was not popular at all. He was more like a reject from school society. It all starts when I was walking home and I noticed people talking to him well, actually making fun of him. So I finally put my foot down, literally my first step over there I stepped in mud. After I cleaned my shoe off I went over there. And those people had dumped all of his books in the mud. He bent down bent and was cleaning some of his books off. And I said, "Hi!" he just looked at me and said, "Sorry am I in your way." I said, "No I was coming over here to help you with all your books. And why do you have all your books?" He just said, I couldn't keep my mind on my homework today." So the next day I noticed he was sitting alone so I went over to him and he just looked at me with disbelief and happiness. He smiled and I hadn't noticed that he was kind if cute with his hair kind of in his face and his blue eyes. So I said," Can I sit here?" He said," Sure!" So after school I went over to his house and he was very polite he opened the door for me and he was not rude at all. So he helped me on my Algebra and I helped him on his new look. I took him shopping and got him new clothes and after he looked nice he asked me if I could be his friend. I said," Are you kidding." He looked so sad. I said," duh! Of course I will!" So I went to his house the next morning to help him with his new look. When we went school people said hi and noticed him. I could see so much joy in his face. After school he gave me an unexpected hug. He said thank you so many times I lost count! So the next year I was his girlfriend and he still treated me the same way he did when we were best friends. So finally graduation came he was the highest in our class and became popular. We got into the same college and I was happy about that. That is what I was thinking but then I lost focus when Carl came to the podium. He said," These last few years have been a change for me a lot. See my sophomore year I was coming home and these people were picking on me and dumped my books in the mud. Then this beautiful girl came up to me and started to clean my books up. She started to talk to me I was shocked and she asked me what I was going to do with all my books I made this lame excuse that I couldn't focus in class. I was actually bringing my books home because I was going to commit suicide. So my mom wouldn't have to carry my heavy books to the car."

There was complete silence in the audience. He said," That was until I met Cara.." I could feel me blush as everyone looked at me. He kept talking, "She changed my perspective in life. The next day she sat with me at lunch she changed my look. And well, you know the rest of the story." I started to cry, everyone I think was shocked and teary-eyed. "So I want to say thank you Cara, because you changed my life forever. Thank you." Everyone clapped after graduation he purposed to me and I said, "Yes!!!" So I guess you can really change people in a lot of different ways.
