Riddle and Rhyme

A Harry Potter fanfiction: book 1 of 7

(Note: I don't own rights to the Harry Potter Franchise or any of the characters mentioned, except, I do own the rights to the specific character Cid Kuneraze. This series I am starting is my version of the events that are precursors to the Harry Potter series. [If this doesn't seem to live up to the Harry Potter name, I'm sorry, I'm not good at description except in the middle of action.] Enjoy!)

Chapter I: Old Friends and New Allies

A voice echoes above the hills in the countryside of England. "How are you after such a long time?"

The voice belonged to an eleven-year-old child; he appears to be a rebel, with short, raven-coloured, untidy hair. Another boy ran over the hill and smiled at his old friend. "Sirius Black? Oh my God! I've been doing fine, how about you?"

"I've been just great, James. You know where Pettigrew is? I got a couple of presents for the both of you." James Potter looked delighted after he brought Peter Pettigrew to find that the presents were two acceptance letters to The Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and a wand for the both of them. Sirius chuckles, "I knew you'd be surprised. After Professor Dumbledoor sent me mine I asked if he could send your invitations to me, so I could deliver them to you as a surprise present along with your wands I bought for you two."

Behind them were two others, one had a nice, but strange, animal-like feel about him. And the other seemed dark and mysterious, with his slick, short, black hair and his pointy, beaklike nose "Oh, by the way, James, Peter. This is Lupin, and this is Severus Snape."

The animalistic figure, apparently, was Lupin, Which would mean that the black-haired kid would have to be Snape. Snape and Lupin greeted the group with a nice smile and a handshake or two. They appeared kind, but a destructive nature seemed to hide and boil to an inferno inconspicuously within their nature, between each other.
