"A Parade of Ponies"

My Little Ponies aren't told
Only by symbols and colors so bold!
With plastic wings, and Clydesdales' feet,
A more motley bunch you'll never meet!
These things are a sight to behold.

The first set of ponies that ever came out
Had the typical bodies most stout.
You know that you have one by whether
Their plastic legs come together
For if they do, you have one, no doubt!

Rainbow Ponies were the next to be made,
Each with hair in four different shades.
Their symbols would shimmer
'Cuz glitter made them glimmer!
They were so popular, they were often remade!

Hasbro realized that they'd failed from the start
To bring boy ponies into their art.
They made Baby and Big Brothers
And to discern them from others
Hairy feet Hasbro did impart.

The first baby ponies were small
Versions of their mothers, that's all!
Colors and symbols the same,
They're considered rather lame,
But for new babies all fans joined the call!

The next baby ponies they made
Were really a terrific upgrade!
They were such little tykes
With their symbols alike
That newborn twins they portrayed.

Another new project attacked
Involved making animals abstract.
There's a sheep, bear and kangaroo
Each with a baby pony of the same hue
And identical symbols, in fact!

The next line of ponies to appear
Would lead ponies to a new frontier!
Flappable wings they bestowed,
But production rates they slowed
Because their wings simply did not adhere!

The hard plastic wings were adored
And the call for better ones not ignored.
Hasbro worked quickly
And soon rather slickly
Summerwing ponies joined the horde!

The next set of ponies were strange
Since their legs for a tail they exchanged.
They had babies and adults
And the final results
Had Seaponies broaden the range

One special assortment they made
Are ones that are proudly displayed.
Princess Ponies they're called,
And the fans are enthralled
With the gem in their hip that's inlaid.

Some new ponies one year were born
They met absolutely no scorn.
Their eyes caught the light
Making them sparkle so bright
In their eyes did jewels adorn.

Some babies had a feature granted;
To have blink-able eyes implanted.
They could open and close
So they looked like they dozed
And My Little Pony fans were enchanted.

Followers of the ponies did fear
That each year would be their last year.
After nearly a decade
Came the end of the parade
Bringing about many a well deserved tear.
