The Greatest Sin

This is not a threat. This is merely something I decided to put on paper, to maybe, just MAYBE show that God does remember to get even. Thanks, and R&R.

He's black, she's Chinese,

He asks me (his best friend) If this is right. (Why shouldn't it?)

Shrug. Don't care. Just a dumb poor white boy. No opinion.

He got lucky. (She doesn't love his wallet.) They're soulmates. (Color be damned.) Besides, it can't be wrong, and It's none of his business.

First date, Movies. Jim Carrey takes lessons from God. They laugh, share popcorn, soda, kisses. Nothing wrong here, right?

Apparently there is.

Teachers sneer and I can see the reason Tolerate different colors, But not mixes.

Ignoring the fact we all came from Two People.

A's turn to C's. (Never knew a missed period was worth 20 points.) Frequent, separate detentions. (Wow, coming into class one minute before the bell is tardy, who'd of thought?)

Students are no better "Date your own kind" "Goddamn n----r dating a c---k" I stay silent. (The greatest sin so far.)

They're strong, however.

No heed to the hate is paid. Love conquers all. Somewhere a demon is losing sleep.

See him in the hallway Ask where'd he get that black eye He mutters something about a cop Then runs off. (America, right? I'm in America?)

Enough is enough. Parents move them to another school, Be together without (hopefully) The hate here.

Good for him and her.

Wake up to mom crying Dad puts a steady hand on my shoulder Some people didn't like what happened. Proved it with firebombs to both houses at night (Cowards)

Judge shakes head "Tragic accident" (I swear I see him wink at the murderers.) "Case dismissed".

Next day at school, Everyone is happy (blood is sweeter than wine) Pride runs thick. "We beat the system."

I am guilty. I said nothing. I stood by and watched two innocent people Die slowly . Did nothing. Said nothing. Might as well have joined in For all I did good.

They are guilty, Perverse demon-infested corpses Wielding a twisted version of "purity"

We shall atone together In hell we will pay Blood for blood None are innocent Not even I.

Tornado.

God's wrath comes Churning Raging Tearing Judgment is passed Vengeance has returned

An angry heavenly father makes the heavens scream anger For the loss of his children Debris pierces already dead corpses (No soul to speak of)

Jock who gave the fallen lovers hell Pleas to me for help (pinned underneath his own locked) Pretend not to hear him Let him know the hell he inflicted (I will too, probably.)

Ceiling shakes. Wall falls. Death has a feast. I am guilty. I accept the crop I sowed.

And yet.

I am not dead.

Beaten yes. Bruised yes. Not broken. Not injured. Not dead.

Maybe

This is God's idea of Justice Those who did direct killing Are killed directly.

Those who stood by Get to smell the decay And watch all the "pieces" get Dumped into graves.

Somewhere in heaven, I hope those two Have a sturdy bed Plenty of champagne And a sign that says do not disturb (They deserve that much God.) And I hope I can visit them To apologize And beg forgiveness Not for what evil I did But what good I did not do.
