that great. It starts out boring, but it will get better, Trust me!**
Chapter One
One bright August morning, a young girl of fourteen woke to a blue sky. The birds outside were chirping a merry little song. Corrine Reiley yawned deeply and got out of bed. She sat on her window seat, and looked out the open window. She smiled as she watched the little robins and cardinals flitting around outside. How she wished she were a bird, happy and carefree.
"Corrine!" The peacefulness of the morning was broken by the piercing yell of her mother, Tabitha Reiley. She pulled on her satin lavender dressing gown and fuzzy royal purple slippers. She stumbled down the spiral staircase, and came to a quick halt at her dining room, using the doorframe to steady herself.
"Yes, mum?" Corrine asked a sunny smile on her face.
"Corrine, dear, why aren't you dressed? We're leaving for Diagon Alley in thirty minutes!"
Corrine's smile faded. She had completely forgotten that she and her best friend Lindsey were going School shopping today. "Yes, Mum. Give me five minutes!" She rushed back upstairs. She pulled on a pair of khaki cargo capris, a white tank top with suede laces on the front and her favorite denim jacket. She pulled her long layered brunette hair into a messy bun and hurried back downstairs.
She grabbed her favorite lavender cloak and sneakers out of the hall cupboard and ran back to the dining room. She sat down and helped herself to a piping hot pancake. She ate quickly and drank a glass of orange juice. "Mum! I'm ready!" she ran into her mother's studio. Her mother worked for Madame Malkin's robes for all occasions. Corrine often helped her mother by thinking of design ideas for new robes.
"Good. We can go pick up Lindsey now. Her mother was dressed in satin aqua robes. Corrine could never have satin robes, because she would ruin them in a heartbeat. She helped her daughter put on her lavender cloak. Her mother sighed, gazing into her daughter's grey eyes, her hands on Corrine's shoulders. "You've grown up so fast."
"Mum," Corrine said annoyed, "are we going to get Lindsey or not?"
"Right. Let's get going."
Well?? What did you think? I really wanna kno! Please review!!!
