(( A/N:  All characters (excluding fellowship) are real.  I am Chelsie.  Enjoy ^^ As this starts, Chelsie, Alex, and Brittany, three friends, are staying the night at Brittany's house to prepare for the upcoming dance recital the next morning.))

Chelsie stared at her reflection in the bathroom mirror.  Her dark brown hair was pulled up in a tight, neat bun, which was held securely to the back of her head.  Hazel eyes stared back at her, heavily coated with purple eye shadow.  Deciding to apply yet another layer of lip gloss, she picked up the small tube and unscrewed the cap.  She stopped, and looked to her left at the doorway.

Her friend Alex stood there, holding a pair of pink pajamas and glaring evilly at Chelsie.

"  I need to change."

Chelsie sighed a bit and picked up her makeup, leaving the room as Alex entered.  Alex then took up her place at the mirror.  Looking in at the green-eyed, blonde girl in the mirror, she smiled, baring braces, and then began to change into her pajamas.

Brittany, a very skinny blonde girl with braces and blue-gray eyes was hopping around the bedroom very hyperly, with light pink Pointe shoes strapped to her feet.  Her hair was also pulled back in a very neat bun, and was plastered to her head with what seemed like tons of hairspray.  Having worn herself out, she plopped herself down on the purple and blue patterned bed and heaved a sigh.  Chelsie soon joined her.

Chelsie couldn't wait for the upcoming dance recital tomorrow.  She'd been thinking about it for weeks, and the three friends had been required to go to many dance practices in preparation.  She sighed, thinking of the dance teacher, Rena.  Rena was always mad it seemed, and she liked to yell at her students for no reason at all.

Finding it hard to contain her excitement, she picked up her pink Pointe shoes off Brittany's bedroom floor.  Looking at the clock, she spoke.

"  We better get to bed soon… Or we'll be tired for dress rehearsal tomorrow."

Brittany had not been listening obviously, for she'd been staring at her reflection.  She looked very much like a clown with all the blue eye shadow she'd caked on, as well as the dark red lipstick that made her lips stand out.  Chelsie laughed at the thought, and examined her Pointe shoes.

The next morning came too early.  The three friends had woken up way too early, and gotten to sleep way too late the last night.  Instead of turning in at 11:00 like they'd intended, they had gone to bed at about 1:30.  All were yawning and dozing off as Brittany's mom drove them to the huge theatre.

In the dressing room, Brittany and Chelsie were doing their stage makeup, which was required by Rena to be excessively heavy and dark.  Chelsie took a couple of steps back from the mirror, to admire her teal dress.  In her opinion, her and her class looked like miniature replicas of the Statue of Liberty, for the color of the dress matched the statue's color exactly.  She left the room after strapping on her Pointe shoes.  Her feet ached with pain, for she'd gotten a few bruises and blisters the day before when she was dancing.  She walked down the halls, which were bustling with people.  Visitors crowded the halls in long lines, while dancers were scurrying back and forth between rooms, all wearing varied costumes.

Out of the commotion, Chelsie's eyes found Chris, the only boy in her class.  He seemed to be eyeing a strange, but attractive tall man with long blonde hair.  His costume was green and brown, and Chelsie figured that he was the lead in the ballet.  Laughing slightly, she turned the corner and went into Alex's class' dressing room.
