Relief
I look in the mirror, at my own face
Not believing my pointless disgrace
The gun at my head, the trigger ready
Trying to keep my focus steady
Brown hair meets dark brown eyes
As I repent for all my many lies
Sweat drips from my furrowed brow
Tired of the past, wary of the future, stuck in the here and
now
The trigger entices my weakening will
Yet the doubts cloud my mind still
There is one girl who could save me from me
Who could make me all that I was meant to be
She's gone now, and so am I
It will be so much easier for me to just die
A single bullet is all it would take
And I would no longer have to fake
My life and anything else that I have to do
As I pull the trigger I only think of you.
I look in the mirror, at my own face
Not believing my pointless disgrace
The gun at my head, the trigger ready
Trying to keep my focus steady
Brown hair meets dark brown eyes
As I repent for all my many lies
Sweat drips from my furrowed brow
Tired of the past, wary of the future, stuck in the here and
now
The trigger entices my weakening will
Yet the doubts cloud my mind still
There is one girl who could save me from me
Who could make me all that I was meant to be
She's gone now, and so am I
It will be so much easier for me to just die
A single bullet is all it would take
And I would no longer have to fake
My life and anything else that I have to do
As I pull the trigger I only think of you.
