There I was, at King's Cross station, about to catch the train to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The only problem was that I didn't know how to catch the train. My parents, both being Muggles, couldn't help and anyway they had dropped me off and already left. I thought it would be better that way with them gone because it would be easier to leave without a big good-bye at the station. Muggles are people that are not of wizard or witch bloodline. Anyway, that was the least of my problems, I had five minutes to find platform 9 3/4, load my stuff and get a seat. Well, by 10:57, I was about to give up, I would just have to wait here till I could get hold of my parents to come and pick me up. I would have to write Hogwarts and tell them what happened. I could just imagine the look on my sister Petunia's face when they came to get me. She was always telling me that I was abnormal and a freak just because she was jealous of me. She would be only to happy to tell me what an idiot I was and that I couldn't even find my way onto a train. With only two minutes left, I started looking for a phone booth.
On the way, someone crashed into me. The impact of the crash was so intense that we both ended up on the ground. The person, that had crashed into me, struggled to get to thier feet. As they did this, I sat up and looked at the damage that had been done to my cart. My trunk had fallen off my cart and my ticket for the Hogwarts Express was on the floor next to me. I groaned but my attention was soon averted by a loud screech. I looked over at the person that had crashed into me and what did I see? I saw a boy about my age bending over a cage with an owl in it. The boy muttered a couple of words under his breath and the owl turned quiet. The boy then turned to me. I'm sorry, are you okay? he asked, helping me to my feet, as I stared at him with eyes the size of saucers. He was so handsome. I couldn't believe it. He still had a tan from summer and his hair was as black as midnight. His eyes, were the purest blue I had ever seen and yet there was a mischievous look about them.
I opened my mouth to answer him when his friend popped out of nowhere and started yelling at him. James, I swear. One minute you're behind me, the next you're not. Do you know, what it took me, to convince the driver, not to leave, so I could find you. And after all that, I find you here flirting with some girl. If we miss the train, we're walking to Hogwarts! The boy, James, had been trying to explain, but every time he opened his mouth, his friend would carry on and on and on, I finally put a stop to it. I think that you, in the future, need to sort out the facts before you go off half - ugh. Now, you said something about the Hogwarts Express, didn't you? I asked as I bent down to pick up my ticket. Yaeh, so, answered the boy who had been yelling. So, here's proof that that's where I belong, and the only problem is, I don't know how to get there, I said as I held out my ticket.
Well, we can have introductions later. Follow us, said the boy whom I had just told off with a smile.
