-------------------------------------

Aya let silver tears drip down his face and fall softly onto the motionless body in front of him. He sat in shock, in anger, in pain. His head hurt and his throat clenched tightly, painfully every time he swallowed, his chest heaving for breath. "Omi" The man let out a moaning wail and dropped his head onto the bare chest before him. He ran long fingers through the silent boys honey brown hair and traced the bandages on his forehead lightly, as if not to inflict more pain on the one he loved.

It had happened so fast. Schwartz had ambushed them. If they hadn't just fought over fifty soldiers, it would have been fine. But the team of supernatural assassins had intentionally planned on catching them off guard and worn out.

He hated them. With ever fiber of his being, he hated them.

He cried silently, his mind going back in time and remembering the times they'd spent together..

**FLASHBACK**

It was late, it was dark, it was raining. But the mission was a successes.

"Omi!" Aya saw the smallest wiess member stumble and immediately called out in concern. His tone betrayed him and it was evident that the boy had thought the redhead to be angry. "I-I'm sorry Aya-kun I-" he flinched as Aya put one hand around his small waist. "A-Aya-kun?" He fumbled with the flower shops key and quickly opened the door letting Ken lock it. "I want to make sure your OK Omi, I'm not mad." The wiess leader could have sworn that Omi smiled. The tension in his muscles relaxed somewhat and he leaned on Aya like a long lost lover as they made their way to their rooms. Aya opened the door to the younger boy's room and ushered Omi in, laying him gently on the bed. "Aya. Aya don't leave." Somewhere in the back of Aya's mind a voice warned him not to get attached not to hope, not to care. not to feel. And he ignored it.

**END FLASHBACK**

Once bright blue eyes now leaked crimson tears, the life gone, the shimmering sapphire now a dull sea gray. White bandages covered the young boy's leg and his side, an expert medic had wrapped his wounds, snapped the bones back in place, and yet he had failed to stop the bleeding, no pressure would help, no bandage, no certain amount of care. The red kept flowing, and so it had been no use.

**FLASHBACK**

"Aya-kun stop! S-stop! That tickles!" Omi's giggles could be heard throughout the house. Aya's soft laughs were music to the young boys ears and he drank it in like the purest wine. "Aya." The blonde caught his breath as the taller man held him close. "Hai?" "I love you." Emotions flitted across the Prussian blue eyes of Abyssinian. "I'm sorry Aya-kun, I didn't mean to-" soft fingers cut him off. "Ai shiteru Omi-kun."
