Title: Be Like That

Disclaimer: I do not own Buffy or any of the Scooby Gang to the Fang Gang. They are strictly Joss's.
Summary: This is a short little fluff about Buffy and Spike. Spike was on my mind so I had to write a little something sappy and sweet. I hope you like it.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Buffy sauntered down the sidewalk into the graveyard. Her mind wasn't on patrolling. Why did she was Spike so much? It wasn't right, she's the Slayer, he's a vampire. Ergo, the whole vampire slayage.
When did it become so difficult? .Angel. she thought to herself.
It was a quiet night. No vamps, that sucked. She chuckled at her little pun.
"Laughing at ourselves, are we?"
Buffy turned around, rolling her eyes,
"Don't you have something to do, Spike?"
"Yeah."
His smooth, English accent ran down her spine, making her tingle. She wanted nothing more than to reach out and grab him.
Spike moved closer, his hand stretched out. Buffy took a step back.
"Why you gotta be like that?" he asked with a frustrated sigh.
"Because I have better things to do."
"What?" Spike looked at her with his gorgeous eyes, "Patrol? On such an empty night?"
Buffy just turned around and continued walking.
"You can't keep walking away from me."
"I can try."
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Spike busted through the stone door.
"She doesn't have to be like that! What gives her the right?!" He gritted his teeth, "Damn Slayer."
"Curse me much? Maybe that's why I have so much bad luck. It's not the Hellmouth, it you."
"I thought you had better things to do?"
Buffy slid through the doorway a little uneasy.
"I-I do.I just...don't feel like doing them."
""You lost your chance, Slayer."
"I never wanted." she scrunched up her nose; he loved the way she did that, "a chance."
"Then what do you want?"
She started to get a little perturbed by Spike's quip, little, sarcastic comments.
"Well, all of my friends are out doing their own thing lately, so I wanted to.talk."
"Aw, poor Slayer."
"STOP!...calling me that."
He sighed, frustrated at himself for making her yell at him.
"Besides, didn't we establish the fact that we don't do 'talk'?"
Spike advanced again, Buffy didn't move this time. He continued forward and put his hands on her arms. She shivered slightly and her head dropped.
"Spike, it's not right."
"When did that ever stop us?"
She lifted her head and looked into his eyes, tears welling up in her's. He furrowed his brow,
"What's wrong?"
"Since when do we do 'talk'?"
She came back with his quick remark to hide her insecurity. He dropped his hands and walked away.
"Fine, if you wanna be like that."
Buffy dropped her head again, without making any sounds, her shoulders shook." She was crying, he had never seen her cry before, at least like this. He felt the undying need to hold her, like how he had held Drusilla, but like he..loved her. He truly loved Buffy.
She fell into his arms, molding into him. He rubbed her back and...kissed the top of her head.
