Disclaimer: I don't own any of the charies except for the offspring (which appear later). This fic is based off of FF9 and 8-Bit Theatre characters (and I asked Brian's permission so it's ok ^^). This is my first fic so be gentle, comments are cool, flames hurt my feelings.but constructive criticism is greatly appreciated :D If you haven't played FF9, I don't think I've spoiled anything for you but those who HAVE played it will find that I HAVE tweaked the story a wee bit but keep in mind I started writing this story before I finished the game. And those fans of 8-Bit.Brilliant isn't it? And those who don't know what the HFIL I'm talking about, go to www.nuklearpower.com and start reading! Thank You! I'll shut up now.

A series of lightning strikes raged across the deck of the airship, blinding Vivi as he faced Black Waltz 3. The black mages guarding him went sailing backwards and over the rails as parts of the ship disintegrated beneath their feet. Waltz 3 landed, his eyes glowing with a hatred never before witnessed by the small group of travelers. Garnet rushed to Vivi's side, and they ran back in the small cabin to Zidane behind the wheel and Steiner not far behind. Images of black mages hurtling helplessly toward the ground flashed viciously through Vivi's mind and he was overcome with an unseen rage and he bolted to face this horrendous foe. The other's soon joined him and they brought Waltz 3 crashing to his knees.
Other than the ship falling to disrepair, the group thought they were safe. Their journey on the airship continued toward North Gate until a small aircraft was seen directly behind them. Waltz 3 had come back for more and another bolt of lightning appeared in his hand as he careened to the bow of the airship. Vivi stared wide eyed at the massive energy but blocked it none the less with his best fire attack, sending the Waltz's ship spinning out of control and almost causing himself to fly off the ship. Waltz charged after them as they entered North Gate and charged up more lightning as Vivi hung helplessly by Zidane's hand off the back of the ship. The bolt was too strong, however and a series of sparks were flung into the small plane's engine, causing a massive explosion and the end of Waltz 3...So it was thought.
