Hi all! Ok so this is my first fic, I know it's far from perfect, but it's
an idea that has been lurking in my head for a bit and I just had to write
it. The parts in italic are from the song "Ultimate" by Lindsay Lohan (
From the movie Freaky Friday. Go see it if you haven't, Chad is gorgeous!!!
* drools * ) . I really suggest you download it and listen to it while
reading cuz my story was really inspired by it, plus it's a great song! Ok
so enough babbling, enjoy!
The Ultimate
Rory was sitting on the bus, on her way to Chilton. She was trying to read, but failing miserably, a very unusual thing for Rory Gilmore. Her mind kept drifting back to a certain blue-eyed boy. She and Tristan had become friends over the past year. They had gone through a lot together, and now their friendship was really strong. Just thinking of him brought a smile to her face. This year had been hard, no doubt about it. Truth was, she probably wouldn't have made it through if it hadn't been for him. Even her mom had been busy with the new inn, and with Lane always off with Dave, she had found herself glad to have Tristan by her side. After another tough break-up with Dean, it was Tristan's gentle words and soothing touch that had mended her heart.
You're the kind of friend who always bends when I'm broken Like remember when you took my heart and put it back together again
She had gone on a couple of dates afterwards, but after a while, she found herself tired of never feeling anything for the poor guys, so she just stopped dating altogether. Anyway, she had Tristan as a friend. Just a friend? Many people, including Lane and Lorelai, found it hard to believe, and Rory had tried to explain, but always found herself at a loss for words. The truth was, Rory had been noticing more and more lately how she would feel.strange when Tristan would do some simple things, like accidentally brush her hand with his .
You're the kind of guy whose hand in mine sends shivers up and down my spine You're the kind of guy that blows my mind
The more she thought about it, the more Rory couldn't comprehend why she had those weird tingles, why she found herself missing him and thinking about him so much.
You've been right in front of me, everything I need, why didn't I see?
And suddenly it hit her like a ton of bricks. "I'm in love with Tristan!" Her mind was suddenly filled with images, images of him comforting her, making her laugh when all she wanted to do was die, their heated arguments about books or music, the warmth, the tingles.
You're it, you're the ultimate It's automatic, I'm sure of it
She got off the bus, cheeks flushed, a girl on a mission. Her newfound discovery had given her the courage to face what she had been too afraid to see. Frantically looking around, she spotted him, leaning casually against a lamppost, waiting for her like he did every morning. Every doubt she might have had about him not feeling the same way flew away when she saw how his eyes lit up when he saw her ; she realized that light had always been there, reserved only for her, she just had never acknowledged it before.
You're it, you're the ultimate I've been waiting all my life for someone just like you
She ran up to him and, catching only a glimpse of his surprised expression, she threw her arms around his neck and kissed him with all her might. When she pulled away, eyes full of questions, he still had his eyes closed and a smile was slowly forming on his lips. And that was all the answer she needed.
You're it, you're the ultimate, you
The end
So this is it! I hope you guys liked it! I'm encouraging you to review but only if you have something positive to say cuz I wrote this for fun and I know it's not that good. Oh and by the way, I'm so sorry if this resembles another story, I just read so much Trory fanfic that I might have included elements of other stories without realizing it. But I don't think I did. oh well.
