"Greyhound Bound For Nowhere" by Miranda Lambert

"Rain on the window makes me lonely
And time keeps on passing so slowly
The old man sitting next to me is falling asleep
On a Greyhound bound for nowhere"

Elizabeth looks out the window and sighs. The rain was making her feel even worse. Her heart was breaking. She couldn't be surprised in what she saw. Ric wasn't a good man; even she knew that after the whole Carly thing.

"The sun's going down on my misery
Another day gone by with broken dreams
That telephone I hear ringing, I keep wishing it was you
On a Greyhound bound for nowhere"

But leaving was best, nothing was left for her in Port Charles except a few friend who all had their own lives and problems now. She begins doddling on the fogged up window of the bus as she recalls the last evening events.

"That ring that you were wearing, don't mean everything
And the way that you stood staring, as you watched me roll away
She loves you and you need me, but there are some things we can't share
I'm on a Greyhound bound for nowhere"

Elizabeth remembered everything so vividly. She had gone back to the house to tell Ric she still cared and wanted to work things out. The door had been left open she noticed as she was coming up the walkway. "Oh no" she thought, "Sonny and Jason must have done something." Elizabeth ran to the door and peered in. Her heart stopped. There they were wrapped up in a blanket on the couch passionately kissing. Faith and Ric.

"And I'm gonna find some place I can ease my mind
And try to heal my wounded pride"

Elizabeth slammed the door shut and Faith and Ric looked up. Ric instantly got off Faith as Faith sat up smiling. "Well, hey little girl" Ric approached Liz butt naked holding a pillow in front of himself, "Liz, I thought you." Liz's eyes teared up, "They were right, you are sleaze..." Liz then looked back at Faith, "He's yours" and with that she left.

"And the way that you stood staring, as you watched me roll away
She loves you and you need me, but there are some things we can't share"

Ric stopped her by her car, "Liz, I love you." Liz looked at him, "You don't love me, you just need me.I want to be loved Ric, everyone's needed me, but no ones loved me." Liz got in her car and rolled out of the drive way as she waved to Ric standing there watching her leave.

"Rain on the window and I'm still lonely
And time keeps on passing so slowly
You're with her and I'm alone, and you're wishing I was there
I'm on a Greyhound bound for nowhere
We're all on a Greyhound bound for nowhere"

Liz realized she had been doddling Ric's name. She wiped the window with her hand. Leaving really was best, Lucky was busy with the Cassadines, Emily was fighting her cancer, Jason, and well Jason didn't care about Liz anymore. That was it. That was all she had there besides Ric. It was time to leave. Liz looked at her watch, 45 minutes to...to where, to nowhere.
