A small group entered the graveyard alone. It was quiet, not even birds or bugs disturbed the quiet around the group. They were here to pay their respects to the people intured here, even if they felt the ones here didn't deserve it. They moved quietly through the maze of grave, picking their way along the pathes to the ones that were their destination.

Promises

The group stopped before a couple of gravestones. The two women, a red head and a lady with brown hair, both in formal kimonos stepped forward away from their male companions. They knelt before the graves and prayed for several minutes, the two men with them bowed their heads in respect. They stayed for several minutes before the men stepped forward. The one with glasses offered his hand to the brown haired girl, while the one with the bandanna in his hair placed his hand on the red heads sholder.
"Let go." he said in a quiet voice. "You've kept your promise for the year."
"Just a minute more." she said in a quiet voice. The dard haired couple walked back to the walkway and stopped, waiting for the other two.
"Do you ever regret what happened?" the redhead asked after a minute.

"Yes, I regret many things that happened. Would I change anything. No. I think I would go through it all again to be here with you." he said.
"Its been so long, I can barely remember her." The girl wispered, a tear running down her cheek. She spun and burried her head in her companions chest, a quiet sob escaping.
The man lifted her to her feet and they started off towards the entrance of the graveyard. The other two watched them before either spoke. "I sometimes wish we didn't have to come here, it makes her so upset." The brunette said.
"Yes." The man with glasses said. "But she promised, and she'll keep it till the day she dies." His companion nodded before the two of them followed the others. Nearby, the gravestones sat quietly, changing only slightly with the passing day. On the gravestone that was visited was etched several lines
