The Characters Ron and Harry are from J.K. Rowling, and so is The Hog's
Head Butterbeer, and most of the stuff that has to do with Harry
Potter.oh.it might be important to mention that the song in this is a
parody to Pearl Jam's "Last Kiss"
"Gee Harry, Whoever thought that we'd be singing in The Hog's Head!" Ron exclaimed. "Do you think we'll get free Butterbeer?" He looked hopefully at Harry. "Sorry, I don't think so Ron." Harry looked nervous. "Are you sure you want to perform that song in public. I mean it's about your parent's deaths." He shuddered. "No I'm not sure. But I'm sure Pearl Jam thought the same thing when they played Last Kiss (a/n this is a parody of that song) and it's about his girlfriend dying. So what's the difference?" "The difference is that he was writing about a girlfriend and it's probably not real. You're writing about the death of your parents, and it's very real, and it scares most of the witches and wizards." Ron tightened the strings of his guitar, and strummed it once to make sure it was in tune. "All set?" Harry asked nervously. "As ready as I'll ever be. I think I'm more nervous than the time I had to play the game of Wizard's Chess to get you to the Sorcerer's Stone." Harry nodded. "Well it's now or never. Umm.Witches and Wizards, Boys and Girls. This is a song that I wrote.Last Wish.it's about my parent's deaths by Lord Voldemort." He paused, and he heard a couple sharp intakes of breath, and a slight rustle moved around the room.
Ron played the opening notes, and Harry began:
"Oh where, oh where, can my parents be?
Lord Voldemort took them away from me.
He took them away, with one good spell,
So I gotta practice to send him to Hell.
We were on the carpet, with my building blocks,
Wasn't long 'til we heard the knocks."
Of the Death Eaters, on the door.
Dad tried to bolt it, did him no good,
I heard the splinterin' of the wood.
Mamma screamed, dad put up a fight.
I'll never forget those words that night.
'Avada Kadavra!' loud and clear,
My daddy was gone and my mommy showed fear.
Oh where, oh where, can my parents be?
Lord Voldemort took them away from me.
He took them away, with one good spell,
So I gotta practice to send him to Hell.
Mom gave me a hug, told me not to cry,
And that she would love me till the end was nigh.
And there he stood, with his evil eyes,
'I don't want any more of your lies.'
He aimed at me, but she stood in front,
'I'm gonna kill your little runt."
He snarled as he pointed again,
But she stood fast, an' the light was vast,
Her scream I heard, was mighty loud,
'I wish to almighty that Harry's safety be found."
Oh where, oh where, can my parents be?
Lord Voldemort took them away from me.
He took them away, with one good spell,
So I gotta practice to send him to Hell." The whole audience was cheering. Some even had tears streaming down their cheeks. As Harry went backstage, Cho was there. She gave him a hug, kissed him on the cheek, and whispered. "I never realized that that's as bad as me losing my Cedric. I'm sorry Harry." "Way to go Harry!" Ron shouted as he put his guitar away. "Right back at you, Ron. Every good singer needs a good guitarist." "Harry, that was magnificent! Absolutely brilliant!" Hermione cheered. "Look, I've brought Butterbeer for you two." She handed them each a mug. "Thanks" Harry replied, but he didn't fee like drinking. Singing the song made him miss his parents even more. He wished he could have known them better. "Don't be so downcast Harry, you'll get your day back at Lord Vold.emort." Hermione consoled. "I hope so." (a/n no flames please, this is my first fic, and I just wanted to write the song.)
