It fell about the shoreleave time,
And a gay time it was then,
When our goodHoshi had languages to learn,
Often from very handsome men.
On this shoreleave goodHoshi was at a bar
With goodTrip was fine rapport,
Alas, drink empty, goodHoshi implored to goodTrip
"Get up and get me some more."
"My hand is in my linguistics work,
GoodTrip, as ye may see,
I've provided such good companionship,
Be a dear, get me Long Island ice tea."
"What? No!" cried goodTrip, angered at her request,
"I am a Chief Engineer, not naive,
You have no said linguistics work,
You are on shoreleave."
GoodHoshi and goodTrip faced an impasse
Fed by sheer will,
GoodHoshi wanted her thirst quenched,
A role goodTrip would not fill.
They made a pact between them both,
From now on it was war,
Whoever should pick up a babe/hunk first,
The other would rise and get some more.
Then by there came two alien males,
At twelve o'clock at night,
And approached the pair of friends,
For goodHoshi was such a sight.
They complemented her on her exquisiteness,
Thus GoodTrip was very sore
It looked very likely that he had lost his secret love
To a couple of alien boars.
GoodTrip watched the alien pair,
Much jealousy it did provoke,
Tho' much thought the goodHoshi to herself,
Yet ne'er a word she spoke.
Noticing goodTrip's love for goodHoshi,
The aliens played the match game;
Said one alien to the other,
"I must kiss this stunning dame!"
O' up then started our goodTrip,
An angry chap was he:
"Will ye kiss my Hoshi before my eyes!
I'll attack you like an Africanized bee!"
Then up and started our goodHoshi,
For she too goodTrip did adore:
"GoodTrip, if it really is me you so love,
Prove it, and drink get me more!"
GoodTrip made quick with drinks galore,
Much to her laughter,
Professing their love to each other,
They lived happily ever after
