CHAPTER 2

Serena walked along the road that was heading towards Bayville. The rain was starting to seep through her heavy tan coat.
'Why am I going to Bayville anyway? There probably isn't anything there for me. But something tells me to go there. I hate being different!
"I know how you feel. Not being able to fit in anywhere. But I can help you."
Serena turned around to see a girl around her age with long red hair and green eyes standing behide her. "Who are you ?!?"
"My name is Jean Grey and I am a mutant like you." Jean answered.
"Well what do you want! And how do know I'm a mutant." Serena asked.
"Because I can read your mind. I am here to help you. I live at an institute for mutants were we learn to use our gifts. And I, we, would like you to come to the Institute to learn to use your gifts. So what do you say?"
"If it gets me out of this rain I'll come." Serena answered. Both girls giggled then Jean led her to the jet.
